I came to Paul Scott as a problem child. He was trying to fix a nightmare I had with another…read moredentist. I already had a bad taste in my mouth with my other dentist (I didn't mean to make that pun but... Dr. Scott will like that one - haha) so, he sure had his work cut out for him. Dr. Scott started off with some jokes why was this important? I was NERVOUS. The jokes helped. Next, he did the most important part (something the other dentist refused to do)... HE LISTENED TO ME. He was kind and he took my pain seriously. He did another root canal and as root canals go, this wasn't as painful as I had braced myself for. When the procedure was finished, I was escorted to the door like I mattered and then, after a few days, a key staff member named, Rita called and checked on me. She didn't act like it was her job or that calling me was a hassle. Rita wanted to know my level of pain (I was doing great) and asked if I needed any further help. I know that no one wants a root canal but, if you have to have one... you might as well go to the specialist the first time. Rita can also give you recommendations on other dentists for cleanings etc (she recommended Dr. Rawley for my needs and I LOVE him too) ---- I know I was a difficult patient. I even cried from my pain and 9 months and counting of frustration and pain caused by another dentist but they were AMAZING - PS - THE ENTIRE FRONT STAFF IS KIND - EVERYONE -

I have had 2 root canals done by him and it went great both times. 100% eased my mind of being fearful of the dentist. If you can get through a root canal, I imagine the other stuff is a breeze.

I was still in significant pain and Dr. Simons got me in the same day at the end of his already full schedule, staying late to finish my procedure so I could avoid another night in pain. I didn't speak to the office staff by telephone in advance of my procedure because they coordinated directly with my dentist office. However, when I met them later that afternoon they were friendly, helpful, and courteous. Bridget contacted my dental insurance company so I would know exactly what my out-of-pocket cost would be, as well as how much I had left in my remaining annual coverage. She thoroughly explained the steps of the procedure/follow-up to me and answered all my questions. Dr. Simons introduced himself to me in the waiting area and told me how long he expected me to wait (which was a completely reasonable amount of time, even without factoring in that they squeezed me into an already full schedule); however, he apologized that I had to wait at all and truly made me feel that my time was important to him. Bridget also assisted Dr. Simons during the procedure, during which she was extremely attentive to my comfort and made me feel completely at ease throughout. Dr. Simons identified the challenging anatomy that required the referral, explained why it had been difficult for my dentist, and described how he was able to quickly solve it using advanced tools/techniques. The entire root canal took under an hour and was almost entirely pain free. The only pain I felt was the initial anesthetic injection and mild discomfort from holding my mouth open. I'm a surgeon, but my field is completely unrelated to dentistry/endodontics. However, having spent years on 'the other side of the scalpel' working with a wide variety of fellow surgeons, I immediately recognized in Dr. Simons the relaxed confidence that accompanies true expertise. It's often said in medicine that doctors make the worst patients and I'm certainly no exception when it comes to dental procedures, which give me severe anxiety. Dr. Simons has the most calming bedside manner I've ever encountered, somehow making me feel totally relaxed and comfortable the entire time. My procedure was a little less than 24 hours ago. I definitely noticed last night when the local anesthetic finally wore off, but the pain was well controlled with Motrin and Tylenol; by the time the staff followed up with me this morning, I was already completely pain free. I couldn't possibly have had a better experience, nor could I give a stronger recommendation -- writing this all out, it feels more like I'm reviewing a dinner at a nice restaurant than a root canal!

I chose Dr. Darlene Hachmeister for my first root canal (even though my dentist referred me to…read moresomeone else). I was terrified but Dr. Hachmeister and her staff were absolutely wonderful. Very kind, patient and understanding of my fear. She explained everything and I felt zero pain. She couldn't finish the root canal due to a crack in my tooth below the gum line. Imagine if I'd gone to a less honest endodontist who would've finished the root canal and sent me back to the dentist for a crown $$$ only to have the root canal fail a year later. She charged me what I considered a very reasonable price for the work she did do. Unfortunately now I have to have the tooth extracted but if I or any of my family ever need a root canal again I will only go to Dr. Hachmeister.

I have been dealing with pain in my mouth for weeks since I had a cap put on a bottom tooth. I…read morehave had almost weekly visits with Dr. Max trying to adjust my denture so it fits and doesn't cause pain. After the last adjustment - as has happened before - in a day or two of trying to eat normally, I have pain again. I love Dr. max and the staff in the back but unfortunately, the public has to deal with the front office. On 4/29 I called the office and got Sherry. I was put on hold for so long that I was sure she had gotten busy and forgot me. I waited several hours then called back and got Jordan. I was again put on hold for a lengthy period of time when she came back, she said she had to talk to Dr. max and see what he wanted to do. She said she would call me back. She never did. I started calling this morning and was again put on hold n by a message machine. I called back this afternoon and was told - by perhaps Sherry - she did not identify herself - that I had an appointment at 2:00 today. It was already nearly 3:00. Then she changed and said, no it is 2:00 tomorrow. NOONE and I do stress this - no one had called me or left me any messages - as I kept checking. Because I had not heard anything from the office , I went ahead and made plans to have lunch with my son - who lived out of town - and was not willing to cancel that. The next thing was I was told was that she was going to have me talk to the office manager. I aske her her name and the name of the person I first spoke to, I was told she would give me that information but "first we had to(paraphrasing) sort out the appointment" - I said I was not aware of having an appointment and proceeded to tell the office manager what had transpired. She told me that she "didn't want to know every little thing" and that point I raised my voice because as I said to her - these are not "little things to me." This person who after me asking again, identified herself as Shannon. I WAS AND STILL AM, UPSET. This has been an ordeal for me and now this hassle of trying to get through to someone there and to get an appointment - to find that I was scheduled an hour ago and no one called me. Shannon said they had tried to call me many times, I find that difficult to believe - but I did check all messages and see no evidence of that. No missed calls - no messages - not on the land line or on my cell. I have read several other reviews regarding the front desk at this office and Shannon is referred to by name - as having an attiude - and saying she is the boss, not caring about the patients needs. I definitely agree and will be posting this everywhere I can.
