I am growing tired of the "chain" aspect of some of the larger resale shops and the willy-nilly way they price donations. The staff here is helpful and happy to have you as a customer. Everywhere you look there's a mess of stuff all over the floors, piled high in the back and outside. I am surprised they haven't been shut down because some of it is a serious fire hazard. The three older women who appear to run it are always out back smoking and chatting and barely pay attention to customers. They will actually get mad when they have to go to the front of the store and cash someone out, and seem to prefer you give them cash in the parking lot which seems very questionable for a nonprofit. They're constantly paying "metal" music like it's the 80s and have weird satanic looking posters up front. The food pantry corner had flies all over the food like no one cleans it. Parking is abysmal and unorganized. They have posted operating hours of 10am - 5pm daily but do not always open at 10. The last time we stopped recently was around 11:15am. We were turned away by an older man taking out garbage who said nobody was there to open and he didn't know what was going on. He seemed very upset about that, and also grumbling about how much cleaning he was doing to prepare the store for whenever "the girls" decide to show up. He did not look well and probably shouldn't have been moving so much stuff. After waiting for a little longer my friend and I and about a dozen other people that were waiting outside just left. And once again we were reminded on why this is no longer an essential stop. It's very unorganized, unprofessional, and they just don't seem to care. Save yourself a headache and a possible wasted trip and skip this dump of a thrift store. I would rate it negative stars if I could.
