DO NOT GO HERE!!! I got my car tinted here back in 2017 and I was extremely happy with the service. My car looked great! I now live across the country, but I was visiting for Thanksgiving. So, I decided to let them tint my current car, but the tint job was not up to par. There are wrinkles, air bubbles, and the edges of the side windows are not smooth. It doesn't even look like they cleaned my windows throughly before applying the tint! I called to inform them of my displeasure and his exact words were "I don't know what to tell you." If you're in the castleton area and looking for a business to complete window tinting than look no further. Waxwerks & Audio+ met my expectations for the 2nd time. The business owner was very professional and explained the difference in the different window tints. He also went over the lifetime warranty that is offered when you get your windows tinted. I had called and got an appointment scheduled for Tuesday morning. Once I arrived with my vehicle he explained to me the timeframe I was looking at and told me that they would give me a call once they were done. Since it was going to be about 4 hours since they wanted to allow the tint to set I went home. They did in face call me when they were done and I headed back to the shop. I was satisfied with the way everything looked. The price he quoted me was spot on. I definitely will return back in the near future if I ever need window tints for another vehicle. read more

Horrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment over the phone. They confirmed the appointment twice. I showed up on time the doors were locked no one was there. I called them multiple times they never answered the phone. Finally they texted me days later apologizing for missing my phone call. I explained the situation. They said they had no record of the appointment even though they confirmed the appointment twice. They did not apologize for miscommunication or even try to reschedule. read more

They told us to bring it in to be fixed, but then charged us without notice of the rate before performing a service we thought was included in the warranty. Yet again, against better judgment, I decided to use these guys to tint my windows on my new truck. Besides the tint being cut 1/8 of an inch short on the bottom of my window, the tint looked pretty good. When I was backing my truck out of the service bay, my mirrors went crazy (I have the option for my mirrors to look down when backing up to see the curb). I brought this up to them and they said it wasn't their fault and to take it to the dealership. I am fortunate I know the service manager at my dealership or I would have had a $100 diagnostic fee and a $89 relay to pay for. They did not protect my electronics from becoming over-saturated with water during the window tint install. Upon arrival today, the guy behind the counter acts clueless as to who i am and why I'm here (i made an appointment nearly a week ago ((called the second day after having the install completed)). I bring my truck to their shop to address the short cut tint, and the guy tells me that it might be because the installer saw a tight seal point in the window ledge. Nothing was discussed with me about this upon completion of the first installation. I told him I would like to have it re-tinted to fit correctly. He basically made it feel like I was an idiot to ask for such a thing and stated "if it gets trapped and folds up, I (he) don't want to hear about it". I got news for ya Chuck, you got paid for a job, just do what you were paid to do or give me my money back! We will see how the reinstall goes to determine if they will get a second 1-2 star review. This is also the place where last week during my install, this same guy has a conversation with a door-to-door salesmen for Aflak insurance that they wouldn't use their services because all they do is hire crackheads and people that "just don't give a shit". If you cannot take some pride if your business and your employees, you should not be in business. They were 75% done with my truck or I would have taken my truck elsewhere. There is no professionalism to be found at this place. They have such a great opportunity to have money falling out of their ears because of their amazing location and nice facility. However, I think the guy that runs the counter is on just as much crack as he thinks his employees are to believe they have any quality in their business. And to be greeted with the attitude because I am less than satisfied, this is my last mistake I'll make at this shithole. P. S. Mask mandates have been lifted and patrons are allowed in businesses as long as they socially distance. You have chairs in your lobby, yet you tell me and several other customers to go to Starbucks or Le Peep. Got up early on a Saturday because I scheduled my car to be worked on at 8 in the morning. They didn't get my car in until after 11 because someone in their office doesn't know how to schedule their techs. I brought my car in to have the radio replaced. I wasn't informed that I would be responsible for getting rid of my old radio. They just left it in the front floor board. They also left loose screws in my cup holder When I went to check out, I had already paid for the radio and the labor the week before, but they were trying to say that I only paid for the radio. They finally decided to take my word for it after I had trouble finding the receipt to prove it. I found the receipt later and will take a picture of it if they need it later. A day later, I discover it's the wrong radio because it doesn't have the phone option my other radio had, the CD player doesn't work, it makes a grinding noise, and the back left speakers didn't work! I call them about just putting my original radio back in since they had left that with me and they dragged their feet calling me back. I went in person and scheduled a day to come in which wouldn't be for almost another two weeks. I come in and they took over three hours just to do it! I will never go back to them again! Earlier in the month my vehicle was vandalized, someone busted out my driver side window. After getting it replaced I needed to have it re-tinted. I went in to Waxwerks to get a quote and lead time, to my surprise the gentleman said that they could do it immediately. 30 minutes later the tint was done and matched the other windows. A few years earlier we had a remote start added to one of our vehicles and it still works fine. Nothing but positive experiences, I will return if and when their services are needed. read more

I made an appointment and after turn my car over to them at 11:30 AM. I was called after 1:30PM by the manager stating that they could not get to my car. That should have been mentioned before I turned my keys over and wasted over 2 hours of my day. They asked me if I could bring back my truck on Monday, which I couldn't. Because I paid with a Groupon and it was marked as being claimed they said that they were going to issue me a check, which I am still waiting for. Poor customer service. I will not be going back to and have since got my truck detailed at another business. It has been over 2 months and they still have not given me a refund after they redeemed my Groupon and did not complete the service. I had a remote start put in at WaxWerks in November of 2020. Within 6 months, it had stopped working. I called them and asked them if I could bring it in, as it is still covered under warranty. The guy went on a rant about people jumping other people and their remote start not working after, which wasn't my situation. I haven't even had the chance to jump another vehicle. Then he told me it was probably my battery and after having it tested, there is no way it's my battery. I was told their technician was off due to a medical issue, but that he would be back in 2-3 weeks and I would receive a call to schedule a time to bring my vehicle in. I was extremely understanding and told him I was just worried about it getting fixed before it got cold out. He assured me that it wouldn't be that long and they would make sure the problem was taken care of. Fast forward a couple of months, it's starting to get cold out. I called them back, assuming they had just spaced calling me back, which is fine because I know it happens. The gentleman I spoke with let me know that he didn't have any technicians because no one wants to work. I completely understand, being short staffed is hard. I let him know that although it's not his fault, I was extremely frustrated with the situation, as I spent money on something that just didn't last. He promised me that they would fix it under the warranty and they would get me taken care of. He invited me to call back weekly to see if their employee situation had improved. I asked if he would look up the brand of remote start I have, hoping that I could find the install guide online, if it's an easy fix I have no problem doing it myself or taking it elsewhere, I just need to be able to find someplace that is familiar with the product. He let me know that they don't keep the records for what devices are installed on what vehicles. The next day, I was talking to a friend who was looking for a remote start and told him although I had an issue, they were trying to fix the problem and suggested that he call them to get a quote for his vehicle. He called me after he spoke with them and suggested that I call them back because they are able to install his in a few weeks. I thought it was great that they had found someone and I was truly hoping that they would be able to get caught up. When I called, the gentleman who answered the phone once again told me that they don't have any techs. Their only tech is out on medical leave.... still. I brought up the fact that my friend was just told that he could have one installed in a few weeks and that gentleman said that was because there is a supply shortage. Well, if that's the case, I'm not sure what prevents them from reprogramming my remote start? A tech shortage is different than a supply shortage. The gentleman on the phone started to get extremely irritated when I told him that I was trying to assume all of the bad reviews listed on google were wrong. He then went on the same rant that is the same reply in the negative comments about google being a "political platform" and it allows losers to leave reviews to tarnish their business. Their happy customers are college educated professionals, which I also happen to be. However I am not happy with their service. Just to circumvent another typical reply, I was a customer there, who kept their receipt in the glovebox and I have not been rude or abusive to anyone at WaxWerks. I just wanted to leave an honest review of the frustrations I have dealt with these last several months. I really hope the manager and/or owners start to open their eyes to the fact that there seem to be a lot of unhappy customers. These reviews are going to cause techs to shy away from working there, which will just cause the cycle to continue. I don't think an education level or someone's position at a company should dictate how they are treated. I went there because they've been around for years and was looking to tint and for a new apple car play system. The old guy up front was so rude and keep complaining about his employees. I had to take my car back twice for as they said "warranty coverage within one week. The technician sliced the fils on one window and the other one was not staying on the window so he just cut the corner. This place is horrible! Please stay away from here. I have scheduled to pick up my car on May 3rd, unfortunately, I got my car on May 9th. During these days, they did not call me to explain why, I called them each day (morning + afternoon), the responses are you can pick it up in the afternoon​ if I called them in the morning and you will pick it up in tomorrow morning. And such kind of conversation repeated every day. Yes, they just broke their promises again and again, and kept me waiting for so long time. What's worse! When I got there, they showed me a new quote, said they did extra work in​ my car, of course, without my permission. Also, I'm not satisfied with​ what they did with my car, it is not as what they promised actually. (but it's not surprising me at this time.) And they planned to charge me another six hundred bucks. Or they would not return my car to me and they asked me to find an attorney​. So I have to call the police to seek ​help in​ getting my car back. It's surprising that they did not give back my car on time without any excuse and compensation. The interesting part is that they wanted to get more money from me. I have never met people doing their business in​ this way. I appreciate the policemen​ who helped me get my car back from them. I might be stuck​ there without their help. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! I wish I had checked this site before I went here... as others have clearly has similar bad experiences with this place and the "owner". I took my car in to get tint put on. It was a rainy day, and when they finished it wasn't really possible for me to thoroughly check the quality. So, a couple of days later when the sun was shining I did a thorough check... NUMEROUS issues! I called the business, and the owner hung up on me. I called back (while starting to drive their way)... and was put on hold for the entire 10 minutes it took me to get there. When I arrived, they had me go back to where the "owner" (not sure he was the owner, but he said he was... how people like this end up owning a business is beyond me)... He started out extreme, including threatening to put me in a choke hold on the floor... yes, he threaten physical violence within the first 2 minutes I was in his sight (and I was 20 feet away, and had only said a couple of things... nothing negative, no cursing, etc). As time went on, he was ever more extreme, and refused to even look at the errors. He told me "too bad, I've already got your money" and "go ahead and pay an attorney $250/hour to get your $200 back". He clearly had no interest in anything other than keeping my money in his pocket and doing no work to fix the problems he created with my vehicle. This is, without a doubt, the worst experience I've had with someone working on any project of mine. The work was bad, and the customer service and owner were even worse. I bought a Groupon for our over sized vehicle to get tinted. Before I purchased it, I called them before to make sure it was ok and they even gave me an appt time to bring my Ford Transit in. I gave them the make and model, how many windows, also stating that I'm going to pay the up-charge to go darker on the tint. So today (8/22/17) I bring the vehicle to the 82nd and Allisonville location, check it in, the lady even redeems my Groupon on my phone, notes the tint I want, and she also takes the keys. Another gentlemen goes out to the vehicle to quote me on a detail job that I may want to get done as well. After talking, he says I think I need to talk with our tint guy and make sure he can do this job. He didn't want me to drop it off and then get a call later about the tint job/pricing. So now, the tint guy comes out (his tone was very rude) and says no to the job because it's too big and he's losing out on money. Isn't that why people buy Groupons....to save money and get a deal on a service?? So to me the company is losing money on all the tint jobs they honor. I then go on to ask for what vehicle fits under their 9 window package on Groupon, they couldn't give me one. This place is joke. They are rude and didn't even care to apologize to me. All they did was slide the keys back to me and turned away. Not only that...the other employees where talking under their breath between each other while I was arguing my case to the manager on duty. I was told to get a refund on Groupon by the manager even though I was willing to pay the price diff of the service minus the Groupon value. He said, "NO...we can get 3 cars done in the time it takes to do your vehicle." His tone was like...I don't care about losing your business and on some power trip! Now I have to take more time and chat with the Groupon customer service about my problem. They are trying to give me a credit and not a refund since it was redeemed on the business end already. This is not my fault!!! So, now I have to wait 72 hours to see if they can refund me the amount of the service because it has to go through another dept. BEWARE of their false advertisements! They tell you one price and when it's time to pay they say "oh they must not have told you about this $250 upcharge" The woman that works at the front desk with dark hair is an absolute nightmare. I dropped my car off for an 11 am appointment Saturday and called around 4 to see if they had an idea of when it would be available to pick up, the awful woman said "I don't have any clue when it will be ready but they don't leave until the work is done we will call you when your car is ready or we will call if we can't get to it today". Several hours later I try to go into the shop personally and check on my car and the place is closed. CLOSED!!! ( and of course they're closed Sundays) So Monday when I came to pick up my vehicle the owner says "oh this was done on Saturday, I wonder why they didn't call you" The owner also mentions they installed the wrong harness so I'll have to come back in again for more work but there will be no cost. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. They say lifetime warranty but they mean we'll keep your car so long and do such a crappy job you'll get frustrated and go somewhere else. Once you pay for the service, they couldn't care less about you. First time I took it in, 5 of 7 windows needed retinted. They kept it all day and only reapplied tint at end of day. Now, 2 of the 5 windows need retinted. Dropped it off at 8 am as requested (they were 20 min late opening up)...they kept it all day and still hadn't touched it. Needless to say, I just picked it up and will find someone else to fix their shoddy work. I don't know where to start with this review. I was taught when I was younger if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. But guess what I'm gonna say it because yelp is asking for it. A few years back I got my windows tinted at this place they did a great job but after a few years the tiny started bubbling. I went in to visit the location to see about getting it re-tinted since it came with a lifetime guarantee. When I walked in the new owner proceeded to tell me that the old business was sold and he owns the business now and would be willing to re-tent for 50% of the actual price. Well that answer wasn't what I wanted to hear but I said OK and I gave her my information and I promise to call me to set up a time, I'm not sure why he couldn't just do it there but he insisted he call me back. Next, one month goes by no call so I call him the phone number does not have voicemail machine tells me that they can see from collar ID calls and I should be receiving a call back which is extremely weird. So I waited and waited and waited and waited some more no call back. Went back into the location a couple weeks later saw the gentleman who owns a business again and he did the same thing unfortunately I'm low in staff I can't schedule it now but I will go ahead and give you a call and will get you set up to return your windows I said OK. So then I waited and waited and waited some more no call back of course. Next I went back into the location said to the gentleman that I'm getting the runaround and I've become very frustrated that he is being extremely dismissive about my car needing to be fixed. He proceeded to start cursing and yelling at me and didn't appreciate me telling him that he was giving me the runaround. I just couldn't understand why he was being so incredibly defensive when it was the truth. I was being very curious during this interaction and trying to find out why he was so unaccommodating and he didn't like being questioned so he threatened me and said if I don't leave the store he will never fix my car, and frankly I really didn't care then he was saying that because he wasn't fixing it anyway. He proceeded to treat me very bad he was cursing at me and judging me and then started walking towards me and showing me out of the store. No, I have never went back there and I never will. I can honestly say in my opinion that if I were a man this would've never happened. He was the nastiest person I've ever come into contact with that owns a business. I ended up finding another place to tint my windows and had to pay $300 even though I think I shouldn't of had to pay that much I think the man who owned wax works should've fixed it for some kind of discount or something. Went to their website filling out a submission request for a car alarm, detail for 2 vehicles, as well as ceramic coating for one. Never got a response, so a few days later I did it again....and again, with yet a response! What shocks me more is I drive by this location daily, and RARELY do you ever see a car or customer besides the employees. You'd think with being slow they'd be the first to respond to get your business, especially when requesting such a big job! Been to this location before and had issues with the detail (car molded on the inside because they didn't suck up all the water), however they agreed to redo to fix the smell which is why i inquired again. I have used this waxworks location many times to tint the windows on several different vehicles I have owned over the past several years. They seem to always do an excellent job, in a timely manner, and at a good price. They also give you a lifetime warranty on the tint as long as you own that vehicle and keep your receipt. I have not had them do any other installs such as alarm systems or stereo systems but they seem to know how to install window tinting very well. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. The waiting room although small does have a lot of their items on display so at least you can walk around and look at those while you are waiting on your vehicle to get finished, if you're unable to drop it off and come back later. read more

While I have read many mixed reviews for WaxWerks I have taken cars here in the past many years ago and always received excellent service. I recently took a new car there and I immediately realized there has been a definite change in personnel. I imagine there has been an ownership change since my last visit several years ago. I dropped off my Hummer and was told it would be ready in three hours, it was ready to go when i returned to pick it up. The window tinting looked awesome, there were a few spots/bubbles that they assured me would "Dissapear" within the two week (14 day) "Curring" period. I don't remember these bubbles the last two times i had my cars done however if they go away as the tint "cures" I will be very happy with the job, if they do not Im going to be pretty upset. While I was there I spoke with Ryan about some other work and he ended up taking my side step bar off the vehicle and sandblasted and re painted/powder coated it as it had a imperfection in the paint. he gave me an estimate and said he would call me when it was ready. Three days latter he called and said it was ready and i went to have it put back on and it was flawless, I was very impressed wight the job he did and the cost was exactly what he quoted actually the lower of the quote. I will defiantly take back any type of work like that! i will also update this review in a couple weeks and let you know how the "curing" process went as Ive seen it mentioned in several reviews here. Also they give a "LifeTime" warranty and as long as you keep our receipt and paperwork they will gladly take care of any problems that might arise. read more

I took my car to get a full detail on 6/21. I had an appointment booked for 9:00AM. The good: My car left in pretty good shape. My car had been vacuumed, the upholstery was washed and clean, and the car was waxed and washed. There were some obvious spots where someone didn't apply Armor All (or whatever protectant they use), but those aren't too bad. The price was $179 plus tax, which I found pretty reasonable. The bad: When I dropped my car off at 9:00 AM, I was told the car would take about three hours and I'd get a call when it was finished. Three hours seemed reasonable for a full detail on a Saturday morning. However, I never received a call. Ever. I knew they closed at 4 so I had someone take me over a little bit before they were supposed to close. I saw someone working on my car. At this point, they were technically closed but still working on cars. The woman behind the desk told me it would be at least another half hour. I asked "is seven and a half hours for a scheduled detailing normal for you?" and she replied "We are very busy and have some people's cars that won't be done until 6." I was not happy with this at all. Why on earth would you not have someone call to say "We are swamped, and expect your car to be done around X instead of noon." I worried they'd rush the job since they were so "swamped", and it seems that they did. I am happy they cleaned my car, but for the service and time it took to do the job I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

If you expect a lot of education, information, friendliness, aftercare, etc. don't go here. I pass the store often since they are located in the Castleton area not far from the mall. I stopped in to get a quote because you cannot find pricing on the internet. I like the fact that he wrote the price he quoted me in the book next to my appointment. I like the fact that their prices are reasonable. What made this an A-OK experience for me is the fact that he tells me don't roll the windows down for 5 days - okay - you should have told me this before and it will take a month to cure - whatever the heck that means. I don't work on cars, and have no idea. So, when I get in my car my mom asks why do your windows have so many bubbles in them.... I get out the car and go back in and he says "yeah, this what I said - it will take a month for it to cure." okay so that means the bumps will go away. He looks at me like yeah, duh. No kidding. I'm a reader. Could you have given me a brochure or a pamphlet? Also, if I would have known I couldn't roll my windows down I would have waited until I had a rental car since I travel frequently.... I use my windows to get coffee, drop off library books, pay for parking, etc. It is toooooo cold to be opening up the door trying to get a ticket to enter the parking garage! if you want a detailed invoice that explains your warranty coverage (suppose to be lifetime) keep looking. If you have had your windows tinted before, so you need no explanation than by all menas this is the place for you! I was a little on the edge about coming, due to the reviews but when for it anyway and I can't say I am unimpressed. I used Wax Werks to install a subwoofer and amp that I bought myself. They charged $100 for two hours of labor, so that seemed fair. I stayed in their lounge, which was really small and they only had one channel on the tv. I can't complain too much there. After the install was complete I got in my car to check everything. I immediately could tell they didn't unplug my battery to do the install because my door lock and trunk release fuse was blown. Blah. I turn on the radio and my chimes had been turned off, even with the $130 interface I bought and installed when I put my aftermarket stereo in the car. So now I need to find some time to get behind my dash to turn them back on. The sub was positioned fine in my trunk and the amp was attached to the box. The wiring is all good too. It turns off when my ignition turns off, so it doesn't drain my battery. In conclusion the guy who installed the sub could have been more careful not to mess up my current settings in my car, but I wouldn't have been able to install this myself! I've seen their detailing and tinting services and they all seem top notch, so I'll throw them 4 Stars. read more
