If you met 2004-2008 Tommy, you would've been introduced to someone with long hair, destroyed vans and skate shoes, jeans hanging on by their threads, and an ipod with plenty of songs ranging from Bloc Party to Saosin. Seeing the refinement of No Comply had me smiling as it truly has a ride range of decks, bikes, clothing, shoes, and more. It's so well lit and organized and everything is easy to follow from the naked eye. The team was also super friendly which was refreshing and you can tell how much pride they have. I found a pair of white leather shoes that were on sale and I was ready to buy but sadly they didn't have my size womp womp. For those of us who need a caffeine pick me up they do have an Idlewild Coffee inside!!

Skateboarding taught me to get back up. I got my first pro model when I was 9 years old and it has been a part of my everyday in some way shape or form. I have always been socially awkward and I could skate alone and eventually found people like myself. I am a part of a culture where skin color, age, weight, class or status doesn't matter. I went to Gnarly's recently to buy my first skateboard. I got off work and headed straight there…read moreafter work at 5:00. Getting there at 5:30, I was concerned that since they closed at 6:00 I wouldn't have enough time to get my board set up. Not only did I get my board set up, but the store owner stayed until nearly 7PM helping me get the right board and answering my many questions, and he was very patient with me. He absolutely did not have to do that, and for that reason he's earned a tremendous amount of respect from me. The store owner was very helpful in answering questions, and he was attentive to my individual concerns and buying strategy. He was honest with me about the components and never tried to up-sell me stuff I didn't need or down-sell me stuff I didn't want, even though there were a few opportunities I can think of where he certainly could have. He didn't make me feel stupid and he even gave me some pointers on riding stance after we set the board up. The only downsides to this store is that it is merged with the boat dealership, it could have a larger selection of decks, and parking is a bit confusing at the boat dealership at first. But those are just reasons I'm hoping to see the store grow and move to a new location one day. Because of the excellent above-and-beyond customer service, I'm excited to support Gnarly's

this shop is dope. i'm mainly covering the skate shop aspect of the store, though. the decks were…read morepretty averagely priced, in my professional opinion. they have a pretty small selection, pretty much only Element decks and Evol decks, but they're pretty sick anyways. there are some completes they sell here, too. the wheels are a little overpriced, they offered me the wheels for like 60 bucks. everyone here is super chill, but if you buy wheels you gotta ask for a lower price, around 30-45 bucks max. i design skate decks, and all in all, i'd feel happy selling my decks here.
