So I have been coming to Wax N Blush for awhile for some everyday makeup items! Larissa is always so helpful in demo-ing new makeup products for me and making great suggestions. Aside from clean beauty and makeup products they carry, I also got my first ever facial here recently from Araceli! I don't have particular skin issues so I wasn't sure if facials were necessary, and have always been a bit intimidated by my idea of them. But I am 37 and I trust the Wax N Blush team and their products so I gave it a try! It really changed my perception of the process in a great way! The whole experience was really relaxing and restorative, it felt like a long facial massage essentially - which I didn't realize how much I needed until afterward! Araceli used some lovely natural creams and oils to nourish during the facial, gave me a gua sha massage, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, and even a little arm and shoulder massage. She was gentle and considerate during the facial helping explain what everything was. Can we talk about how absolutely personable she is? Larissa is super friendly, warm and engaging. Oh my god, I cannot tell you how great it feels to know that she is 100% sanitary and takes the cleanliness of her workspace and work seriously. The way she waxes you doesn't make it hurt any more than it has to. Yes, waxing is always going to be uncomfortable for some people. I've have been searching for years to try to find someone to do my Brazilians and just could not find a right fit for me. I am a big, big baby with very low pain tolerance, I had experiences in the past where I would be laying on the table in agony for almost an hour!! When I first got referred to Larissa from my neighbor, I embarrassingly expressed all my concerns and I could tell she was really listening to me. She got me in and out in about ten minutes! Long Version: As a guy, all I look for is consistency and someone who does not "over do it" when it comes to my eyebrows. Larissa is that and more. For as long as I've been going to her, she always hands me the mirror but the outcome is the same: nicely trimmed, waxed, and symmetrical eyebrows. Additionally, she is able to clean up my eyebrows without making it look like I get it done (per my request); this goes back to the "not over doing it" statement. Lastly, my skin can be sensitive and Larissa always remembers to use the appropriate products to not cause me to have a reaction. This has always impressed me considering the number of clients she has. In summary, I recommend her enough.
