From talking with a Wawa employee, I found out that the foul tasting drinks are from the soda fountain head not being cleaned properly or often enough. It seems bacteria builds up on the fountain head if it is not cleaned regularly and this contaminates the soda as it is dispensed causing the foul taste. Will no longer buy fountain drinks at this Wawa, they have lost ALL my business.
