Last Sunday, my husband and I went to the WaWa on Rt 73 in Maple Shade at 2:30 p.m.. A woman with red hair was working the register (didn't get her name) and she was having an issue with a customer & as he exited, she yelled to him, go to 7-11 next time. I spoke to her because I know how hard customer service is, but then after the next customer walked away, she said to me, F-ing foreigners. I was appalled that in today's state of the world, a WaWa employee would speak so racist pubicaly to another customer. What she didn't realize until my husband walked up to me is that my husband is a Latino and I was disgusted by her behavior. Is this the type of person WaWa wants representing them to the public? Do better. We will NEVER spend our money here again. read more

This is NOT a fault of Wawa a but I don't know who to complain about. Everybody and they're mother needs AIR in their tires and they may be the only one that gives you FREE air. There is a car at the air pump so I pull up next to their car. They finally back up and I waited at least 15 minutes. As they begin to exit the parking lot a small gray car comes flying up to the air pump. Never saw her but this woman of color jumps out of her car with an Eagles "hoodie" and begins screaming at us. The argument ensues and her arms are flying all over the place with the "hose" in one hand looking menacing toward my wife and I. Now I'm thinking there might be an UZI under the seat. Score one for the Eagles. Anyways is there a procedure to follow while waiting to use an air pump? Wawa is the only station that offers this for FREE. I refuse to pay up to $2.00 for air. read more

Love the Panini's and iced coffees. The oven roasted Turkey with Pepperjack is my personal favorite. They used to have the best egg salad hoagies, but sadly they discontinued them a couple years back. Sometimes we even just get a buttered shorti roll. They pair really well with the soups that are also pretty good. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat when traveling. read more

I always come to this location around the same time of the night (11pm). They have the best staff. Kala is always super-friendly, and always offers to make me a fresh sandwich or salad if there are none already pre-made. I never see the staff complain or look angry. Very positive vibe. Just wow. At 1:30 am with no customers the place was a mess! As per usual team members were interacting while the store was a mess(see pics) I left without a purchase and yet no one seemed to notice or care. I'm also reported this to WAWA headquarters. I went to WAWA on rt 73 ( #2920 NJ -73 Maple Shade NJ 08052) to get gas in my motorcycle today and I went through a terrible, horrible experience and I am very disappointed with what I went through. There is a worker who was putting gasoline in another car when I pulled up. He knew that I was waiting for a long time, but he completely ignored me. When another car came in, he quickly went over and started pumping their gas. When I complained, he said that putting gasoline in the motorcycle is self service and full service for cars is priority to him, and that is WAWA's policy. What the hell is this? Can someone tell me What the hell he is talking about?.. is that true??? He said he worked there for 4 and 1/2years, and it was always this way. He never turned the pump on for me to even begin pumping myself. Self-service without turning the machine on? So I complained again and he yelled at me rudely , "Push the green button!" and actually started ranting to the driver of the other car about me! Another employee, Roy, came over and was very apologetic and tried to help. He pumped the gas for me. He told me "the next time you come here, I will serve you." I went into the store to talk to a manager. I approached her as she was arranging a display and another cashier rudely shouted at me to "come here" as if I was bothering the manager. I've never experienced this kind of treatment before at any Wawa in my life. I felt I was being racially discriminated against by Ian because I am Asian. Manager eventually called him in to discuss the matter but all he did was cop an attitude and make excuses, claiming it was always the policy. The employees here are rude and disrespectful. Manager tried her best to fix the problem, and Roy was very nice, but I have serious problems with Ian and the other cashier. It's not Manager's fault they acted this way but it is her responsibility to make sure her staff is properly trained. This location needs to completely retrain their staff about Motorcycle customers are also not self-service, they are still full service and must be attended to in the same manner and also retrain their staff racial discrimination policies. read more

I have to complain strongly against the cashier Shakira. She humiliated a customer because of her asthmatic cough. She was rude, inconsiderate and very disrespectful. I can't believe she is permitted to work behind the register and deal with customers. That is the last time I will do business there and I will tell all my contacts to avoid this wawa. read more

I should've learned the second time but for some reason I went back- they have never had cold brew anytime I've gone here. I order, pay & wait, until I ask the barista if someone's making it at which point she tells me it's frozen. Manager offers a refund & free hot coffee-nice but no, what is it that THIS location doesn't have cold brew in the morning? Whoever's overnight or the night before should've taken it out of the freezer. Simple. Not to mention my "hot cookie" is cold & rock solid. Never coming back to this location. read more

I go to this wawa every morning for coffee and a sizzly sandwich. The store is always clean and the coffee is always ready to go. Everyone working there is nice and always ask how you are doing. Megan on the register is phenomenal, she gets everyone out quickly and always has a smile on her face. It doesn't hurt she is nice to look at as well. ;) Only thing I think they could do better is getting the sizzly sandwiches out a bit quicker. A lot of times there isn't any in the warmers and I have to wait for them. read more

You know I just wanted to say that Wawa's customer service hotlines stinks they don't answer the phones at all they act like they answer the phones and then they click over and put your back on hold and they play this game a couple of times and next thing you know you left waiting for someone to answer the phone I'm handicapped I am a military veteran and I don't have time to play these games I served my country and I would just like to say somebody needs to investigate what is going on here I waited 20 minutes on the phone to speak to someone never got through customer service because there was an issue at one of the sites and I'm truly pissed off about this I wish someone would reach out to me and tell me something or accommodate me for the items that we're missing read more

Great location next to cvs and fox meadows. This location also has a Gas station and free air pump. This air pump is not the new digital version but it serves it purpose. The store is always clean, merchandise stocked and coffee fresh. Also it is on the larger size as compared to others. read more

Old crusty hot dogs. How you can make a hoagie not taste like a hoagie ask them. Running out of products like milk, bread, ice tea, brands of cigarettes etc. Only they can do it! Under staffed or over worked employees not sure. read more

I've been to this Wawa several times in the past month. However, this was my first time paying cash, as well as my first encounter with the cashier Amanda. She was very rude from the start, not greeting me nor smiling. Those things I can handle. However, there was a charity collection jar that I planned to put my change in. But Amanda snarkily asked me if I needed my change at all, in front of the other customers. I was honestly too shocked to reply, so I simply left and I presume she pocketed my change for herself. I will try to avoid this location in the future. Very unpleasant experience. If I do end up at this location and I see Amanda again, I will be sure to wait until an actual kind employee is available to help me. All of this drama for coins. read more

Shakira the cashier was the rudest person I ever met. First when I walked up to the register she was on her phone I had to wait until she got off. A small cough came up suddenly and I could not put my elbow up fast enough. Shakira starts screaming at me saying it was disgusting, and that I coughed all over the register. I was not even close enough to the register to cough on it. She said I was spreading germs and I told her it was my asthma and you can't catch asthma from anyone. She continued screaming at me loud enough the whole store heard, she continued to scream at me even after I left because I could hear her from the foyer. I can see if I was coughing and hacking all over the place that she could say that but to be continually screamed at for such a little thing is unacceptable. I know a lot of people in Fox Hollow and the town of Maple Shade, maple shade is a small town and very close knit. All I have to do is tell my family and friends my experience and they will not go there. I am in that WAWA just about every day, getting gas, food, money etc. it will be quite a while before I go back. read more

I still love Wawa for the sake of it being one of the best convenience stores around. I just feel like they are not what they used to be. As they got bigger and opened up more locations, they began to get a little too commercialized. I used to go to them to get all my sliced meats and cheeses but they have since stopped acting as a deli. Still your best option when you need to hit a convenience store but they used to be so much better. read more

Meghan at the register was incredible. She engaged each and every customer, those in front of me, myself, and those behind me in conversation. You could see and feel her energy from the back of the line. She lifted up every customer's mood, which was apparent from the smile that everyone left with. I just went to this Wawa. I got two sandwiches plain turkey and cheese with spicy brown mustard. I asked for the sandwiches to both be toasted whole. They not only toasted the sandwich but when I got home I saw that they'd put some kind of paper inside the sandwich so all the cheese and some of the turkey melted onto the paper. I lost three-quarters of my sandwich because they f****** did this to both sandwiches. So disgusted I will not go to this Wawa again. Please fix this for your future customers.
