The food tasted great, and yes I'd recommend it!

3/5 stars: "My Pleasure" Felt More Like "My Inconvenience"…read more I've been a loyal Chick-fil-A customer for years, and the brand built its reputation on hospitality. That's why this morning's visit stung. I came in around 9:45 a.m. for breakfast. After finishing my meal, I walked up to the pickup area inside with my empty cup in hand, which at any Chick-fil-A is a universally understood signal for a refill. No line. No other dine-in customers. Just me, standing there. For about ten minutes, I watched four employees walk past me. They called out DoorDash orders for drivers who weren't even in the building. One employee left the counter to wipe down the dining room and walked right past me without a word. Another walked over to drop a bag on the DoorDash shelf, looked through me, and kept moving. I asked for a refill three separate times. Ignored each time. Finally, I stopped a young man heading back to the kitchen and asked, "Do you still do refills?" He said yes and started to walk off. I had to ask a second time: "Could you please give me a refill?" He paused, said "Sure, my pleasure," and grabbed my cup. Here's the thing. "My pleasure" is supposed to mean something here. It's part of why people choose Chick-fil-A over every other fast-food chain on the strip. When it gets reduced to a scripted line you mumble to make a customer go away, the entire brand promise falls apart. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing it because the standard S. Truett Cathy set was the reason this company became what it is, and the team on shift this morning needs a reminder of what that standard actually looks like. Acknowledging the person standing three feet in front of you with an empty cup is step one. To the operator: I'd genuinely love to see this addressed. The food was fine. The service was the problem.

I was among the first to test out their vanguard kiosk ordering system, which replaced pencil and paper ordering then. I was unofficially a Wawa mystery shopper, reporting back on my experience around the Philly suburbs. I grew to be a Wawa connoisseur over the years. I have favorites, ones I routinely stop at on road trips up/down i-95, and ones I outright avoid. My two cents: This is a great Wawa location! Super clean--even on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, the bathrooms and drink areas were clean and orderly. The staff here were friendly and helpful. The service was wonderfully quick. Love the inflatable food-shaped rafts (burger, pizza, etc) they decorate with here that adds a fun and playful vibe. Great music too. It's a winning i-95 stop. This one is open 24/7, has gas, and lots of grassy area for puppies or kids to stretch their legs. It also has a surprising amount of Tesla charging stations. Pro-tip: Get a small mac-n-cheese, medium chili. Special request a large empty extra container. Mix together in that large cup for a truly awesome chili mac for about $8. Its enough for two people or to have leftovers.

I try to roll like I'm made of money, but more and more these days I'm coming in hot when it comes to my finances at the end of the month. Lucky for me, Wendy's has a $3 Son of Baconator Deal going on right now, and that burger hits the spot. It's only a double patty cheeseburger with bacon, mayo and ketchup, but those square patties contain magic, I tell you. Jeremy had a burger, too, and some of those "Saucy Nugs." He used to love the garlic parmesan ones, but apparently they stopped offering that sauce, so he got barbecue sauce. I'm usually not a nuggets fan, but I do like these. Not enough to eat more than maybe two, but the quality of the nuggets seems much better than what is offered at McDonald's (who we no longer patronize due to their rolling back their DEI practices. Did you know our veterans are considered DEI? Shame on you, McDonald's). The dining room was clean, and relatively empty (we were there around 3, so it was between lunch and dinner rush), and the employees seemed to know what they were doing - efficient service and the order was correct. Fairly decent for a fast food experience. Recommended
