We were referred to Joon by another photographer, and I was originally looking to book Joon for an engagement photoshoot. I had been planning the engagement for around midday, and while Joon said he could certainly deliver, he advised that the sunlight would be harsh and potentially make for unflattering lighting. His feedback prompted me to change my proposal plans to a different day and location in NorCal. Several months later, when we locked in our venue in SoCal, I remembered Joon's helpful advice, reached out, and booked him for our wedding! On the wedding day, Joon arrived early to scout the location, did a "first look" with me and my partner at some beautiful spots he had picked out, and shot tirelessly throughout the 4 hours. He was always available and amenable when we asked to take certain photos with friends and family. He also captured so many candid moments that were fun to look back on, including some that my partner and I missed during the whirlwind of the day. For those who aren't comfortable in front of a camera, Joon does a great job of providing direction. After the wedding, Joon sent about a dozen preview photos within a week or so to check his editing style. Everything looked great at that point. My partner and I ultimately received several hundred edited photos about 3 weeks after the wedding. We were so pleased with how everything turned out.
