As you can see from my last review in March 2025 this is my favorite local automatic drive through car wash. I was here on Friday the 13th for the basic Pipeline car wash for $15. I paid using my credit card. Usually two workers one each side of the vehicle power wash all sides of the vehicle prior to entering the car wash. This time there was only one worker to power wash all sides of my Audi. After exiting the car wash usually two workers on both sides of the vehicle dry the vehicle and apply tire black. But this time only one worker was there and he did not apply the tire black to my tires. I had to go to my local auto parts dealer to purchase my own tire black. I will still return here because I like this car wash despite some issues today. read more

They damaged my brand new forged aluminum wheels, denied it, and utterly refused to make it right in any way, shape, or form. Before you run your car through Waves, read this. I was a loyal repeat customer. Before my first visit I specifically asked a manager if their equipment would damage my aftermarket forged aluminum wheels. I was told not to worry, that even Porsches with large spoked rims go through without issue. I trusted that and kept coming back. What I didn't realize was that their loading track was gouging my driver side wheel during my visits. Three deep scratches, same exact spot on the outer diameter.. and the only wheel that's damaged? -- The one that loads directly onto their track. My other three wheels are completely untouched. The damage doesn't lie. I came in calmly with the car in person and a $175 repair estimate -- the cheapest quote I could find. I wasn't looking for a fight, I just wanted my wheels made right. The manager Scott reviewed the damage on my car, and later pulled up 2 dates of camera footage, then called to tell me they aren't liable. I visited multiple times in March and April. Their cameras only go back two weeks -- that's their limitation, not mine. I followed up in writing. The owner called personally and still refused to pay $175 -- despite the fact that only the wheel that physically contacts their equipment has any damage, in 3 exact spots on the outer diameter -- damage that could only come from hitting the same track repeatedly. $175. That's what my loyalty was worth to them. I have now filed a complaint with the Delaware Consumer Protection Unit and am filing in Sussex County small claims court. I take my cars to Waves to "save time". After today I will need to rethink that: Floor mats left with puddles of water on them, dead bugs still on front of car, interior not very thoroughly vacuumed, some areas not even wiped down at all. I would still say Waves is ok for a drivethrough car wash, but be prepared to dry, dust, and vacuum when you return home. All in all, I don't think saved much time, if any, when you factor in the wait and the work I have to do to complete the job. In addition, the dude directing traffic wasn't using signals consistent with the ones ground traffic control folks use..then got mad that I couldn't understand what he was gesturing. read more

Just paid extra for tires. Tires and wheels still noticeably dirty as is back window and tire cover.

Running back and forth from NoVa to the shore causes a mess of dirt and bugs and some bigger bugs needed to get the truck washed. Headed over to Waves for the first time and able to get in and out with ease to go thru the exterior automatic wash and was happy for the price and detail the team takes from point of sale systems , prewash spray down and hand towel dry was great. read more

I paid $30 a month for my Jeep Wrangler (not lifted, not modified, just 33" tires) for quite some time before finally canceling because my vehicle was not clean. Several months later I tried again, attempting to use the "free wash" I signed up for on one of their social media platforms. The code didn't work, and I was already at the kiosk, so I paid $25 for a top-of-the-line wash. Once again, not clean - wheel well lips dirty, entire back end dirty, and the guy who applied tire shine didn't even bother to put it on the spare tire mounted on the back. I went into the office, spoke to the manager (no name tag and didn't introduce himself) and told him this is why I canceled my membership. He proceeded to tell me that Wranglers "never get clean" and that they have to "turn everything off" which made no sense. He also said the tire shine guy shouldn't even be working there but, whatcha gonna do. I asked him why they allow Wrangler owners to sign up if their vehicles never get clean and he just shrugged. I said my Wrangler gets clean at Mr. Wash... why is that? He had no answer. He didn't offer me anything at all except all this chatter. On my way out I made tire shine guy do the job again, which was the least this "manager" should have done. read more

I was charged $37 dollars for a wash with interior cleaning. They rushed me out when they said it was done. Driving away I saw my dashboard was still covered with dust my console was still dirty the rear cup holders were still dirty and full of dog hair my back window was still not cleaned I will never use them again. read more

My husband and I use this service frequently. We're chronic car wash visitors!! But with a service this valuable, it's hard to resist! We are member subscribers of Waves which means we visit the car wash as often as we'd like during their business hours. With several cars "in the family," the membership has more than paid for itself. There are three entry lanes (one exclusively for members) and members are recognized by tag when they pull in. An attendant usually assists with the check-in process and back window wipers are sheathed in plastic. Tires, wheels, front and back bumpers and lights and lower side panels are pre-treated. The auto car wash is pretty thorough including forced air drying upon exit. The last stop is for final detailing. One lane is for outside detailing including window cleaning and tire shine. The other two lanes are used for inside detailing as well. I've always been treated with friendly service-oriented attendants. They work hard and do a nice job! read more

I'm a monthly Tidalwave subscriber (top wash package) and it's not exactly cheap at $45 a month. However, I can go whenever I want, and I go often, so it pays for itself after a couple of washes. They're good at sending out Facebook notices if they're opening late or closing early because of weather. Exterior wash is excellent. Interior cleaning is not included in the monthly subscription and is a $15 add-on charge at the entrance. This is where it's awful -- believe everyone when they say that this place DOES NOT DO A PROPER JOB that you pay extra for -- and when I called and spoke to a manager, he made excuses that it's supposed to be just an express cleaning and not a thorough cleaning. EXCUSE ME, but $15 is not exactly cheap just to have their crew blast through as if there's a competition on who can do it the fastest (meaning the goal is not to actually CLEAN, but to get the car out of there after taking your $15.) I observed this guy literally flying in and around the car, arms flailing with his towel, with no attention to detail at all, and did a 360 around my car in only a handful of minutes. No one is expecting a $200-level meticulous detailing job, but how about SOME KIND of cleaning that you notice a difference and you feel like (or rather, see that) something was actually done? To be honest, I did a MUCH BETTER JOB MYSELF the one time I visited their Milford location where this $15 con job is not offered. Instead, you pull into a spot that has vacuums and clean towels, and you can do the car interior yourself for free. read more

I've been coming to this car wash since they first opened and the person leading my car in let me in wrong and my car got stuck on the track then she started screaming at me that "you people always do this. You always come in here speeding and not listening!" Excuse me I've been coming to this car wash and doing it correctly and slowly longer than you have been working here she was rude! Amazing Avan! If I ever see him at the Waves carwash prep area I will turn right in for a carwash! Talk about thorough and client focused. I asked him to spray a part of my car which I knew needed a little extra spraying and he went around the whole car meticulously and promptly spraying it. He was amazing! 10/24/23. Today I got my car washed, and as always, the wash machinery does a great job! I usually just drive through the exterior, because, I need my interior windows spotless and don't need streaks on the insides of the windows. So, I clean my windows myself. I drive at night for several rideshare companies. However, occasionally I'll have to remind an employee to cover something they've missed. But, there is one employee who likes to just appear that he's working, however, he spends more time talking and goofing off. I'm in no way trying to get him fired, however, I feel he needs to take his job seriously and with detail. I usually provide a $5.00 tip or more in the Exterior Wash lane or $10.00 when I was getting Full Service. I've been using Waves Car Wash for approximately 5 years and travel 8 miles for their service. I will continue to maintain my membership, however, improvements need to be made. Additionally, one point needs to be made is that the receipt dispensing machinery is way to far to reach! Have to open car door and get out to reach receipt. read more

I took my car there and paid $32 for an interior and exterior wash. When I left my interior windows were still dirty. $32 is a lot of money for a car wash and I expected that the entire car would be clean, no such cleaning. This has happened before, they'd o a good job outside but inside is not done well. Now I guess I'll have to go elsewhere read more

Today was my second $40.00 car wash. I will never return. The first one was so bad I questioned it when I got to my car and the employee explained they were very short handed. Today I told the wash guy when I pulled up that last time I had a terrible experience and he told me he would be sure to take care of me. lol. I got home and spent an hour and a half cleaning the interior the right way. Shame on you. I certainly do not recommend your business. read more

My car was filthy, absolutely disgusting. I joked the guys probably drew straws on who would take the interior. I got the top wash plus interior cleaning and it was $34 well spent. About 1/2 the time I go through they forget to turn of the bump button and my vehicle gets a good smack. They have an attitude if I try to politely remind them at the entrance. 3. The manager doesn't return calls. 4. There's always NON MEMBERS holding up the member line. 5. Just tried to cancel membership and I'm told I have to do it myself online. I have used this business for almost three years, but it has really gone downhill. I had multiple vehicles on the monthly plan, but have stopped all of them. I spent $36 on an inside and out wash, but when confronted by a complaint about how dirty the spare on my Wrangler was after they finished, they came up with excuses and refused to clean it. " We don't clean the spare on Wranglers." Well, they used to! They also take cars out of order, so I waited for customers who came after me to have theirs finished first. Extremely displeased at the current moment. I went there on a Sunday well within their normal operating hours to get my car washed. I'm in new VIP car wash member and paid $55 for the service. Last night there was a horrible storm and my car is covered in tree sap. I came today to get it washed, and they close due to the weather. While it is cloudy and they are calling for chance of rain it is not raining as of yet. I called and left a message expressing my extreme displeasure with my service as of now. I am now sitting in the parking spot at waves apparently they are saying I had sap on my hood because I have pine needles in my window. this sap is now smeared on my windshield. i was just told by one attendant that it was not smart of me to come thru the car wash with sap on my hood ( basically said I was stupid) now another attendant came out to send pictures to his boss apparently tree sap is not cleaned off your car at a car wash not sure what else a car wash does not clean. now telling me I have to leave the parking lot because I am posting a unfavorable review on Yelp. I am a member I pay my monthly fee and this all started because I said hey this was not on my windshield and bam unhappy people and saying the only have window wash to clean a windshield. Very sad been coming here since this place opened. Where is the owner when ya need him??? Told me to go get goo be gone at the Lowe's Really what am I paying for???? I had really high hopes for this car wash after reading all of the positive reviews so I tried it out today. I got the Pipeline Wash (which is their mid level wash). There are three different levels to choose from and you can add on interior detailing if you want to. They also have VIP programs with unlimited washes per month, which works in your favor if you get at least 2 per month. The customer service was great, all the employees I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. And even if you see a bit of a line please don't be turned off they're very efficient and move everyone through really well. Before you enter the main wash, they do a nice little pre-power wash to help with any caked on bird poop and bugs. I got the exterior towel dry after and they did a nice wheel treatment that really made them shine! I also got to chat with the owners, Mike and his wife. They could not have been nicer and you can tell they really are enthusiastic about their customers and their business. What a great addition to our area! read more

They say a new broom always sweeps clean, but not forever. i was really impressed when this car wash opened a few years ago, but the quality of their work is poor now. Today, a $22 car wash includes NO interior service, but if you want it, pay another $12 and wait 1 hour for vaccuming and inside window cleaning. I paid the $22 for exterior only because I couldn't wait. They no longer clean wheels, so the brake dust on the front wheels doesn't get touched, even for the $22 fee. I won't go back there unless the management changes. It's a shame, it used to be a great company. read more

I have a membership that I do not use often, but decided to do so today. When I entered the wash, I heard scraping noises. I thought it was just the belts that rides the car through trying to align. Once I got home, I noted a small scratch on one side of the car, and the other side near the tire was scraped up! Will be returning tomorrow, as my car is brand new. read more

Very dissapointed in my service today, 29.00 for full service car wash, as the driver I left before I saw that the passenter side windows were not done nor was the mirror! After further checking the interior doors and console not done!! We had drove an hour and half to beach , got the wash and went for lunch, husband would not let me go back to complain he said he would do it himself.
