This place has the worst customer service. Front desk staff are not professional at all the whole time I was waiting, they were talking about their personal life really loud. Some of them were on their personal phone. I had a scheduled appt but waited 1.50 hr to be seen. Why schedule an appointment then? I'll never come to this wave imagine again and I'll make sure my family either. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Horrible customer service. First of all, I called this location numerous times and left a voicemail because I needed to reschedule my appointment and they don't pick up the phone or call back. I showed up to the location, hoping I can walk in at 2:50 PM. Hopefully after this review they make some improvements or check themselves. I walked in, there were three girls at the desk two Hispanic looking and the other an African American. I waited about 7 mins in line (god forbid I was your elderly family member and had to stand in line) they made no effort to acknowledge me (mind you I was nice at that point) then I forced eye contact with one of the girls and she said "I'll be right with you" (mind you it was the girl in the back furthest from me who acknowledged me) then I said thank you for the acknowledgement I appreciate it. Shortly after the girl in the back helped me out and checked me in. While she was checking me in, she picked up the phone and called an insurance about a procedure that another patient was going to get. She was not keeping the patients information confidential. I still remember the partients DOB and name and procedure. I waited ONE hour in the lobby (it was not that busy to wait ONE hour plus) but I was not in rush so I patiently waited then I went up to the desk asked the girl on the right about how much longer it would take they said I was 4th in line. I asked her why did 4 people that came way after me got seen sooner, she explained because people had other procedures scheduled so then I asked about their scheduling policy, and the girl on the left with the face mask decided to acknowledge me and speak but could not clarify their walk in/scheduling policy to me, but then she proceeded to blame the fact it was taking long because of the elderly patients they were seeing there. I left the place because I felt dissapointed and very frustrated. I would not recommend going to this place if you are not elderly (even then watch how they treat them). I walked out and went to a different facility (as a walk in) and let me tell you it took longer to write this review than to get my x-ray done. Experiences like this give a bad name to Santa Ana and I am from Santa Ana. Have a nice day! read more

Horrible customer service. My mother had an appointment to get an X-ray done at 10am. They did not see her until 11:35. The staff was also extremely rude and talking about my mom behind the counter because we simply asked how much longer it would take. The whole lobby could hear it. Very unprofessional staff. Will not be coming here again to get any service done. read more

The WaveImaging company has terrible customer service. First you can't call to schedule an appointment. So I go online, but they don't have me in their files and my doctors office tells me they sent everything over to create an account. So now I have to be a walk in and no scheduled time. I show up at 9:45 am. I check in. The front desk eventually finds me and 30 minutes later I have paid and am now on line for an appointment at 10:16am. It is now 11:35am an hour and 15 minutes into my wait. There were 3 people ahead of me for X-rays when I paid.... There is just only 1 left and hour later. This is horrible customer service. How long does it take to do an X-ray? How many people are doing X-rays back there? And are people getting appointments for times I am sitting here because I am a walk up I am always last? I can't believe how everyone else here is just resigned to waiting they are all 60+ so perhaps they don't have jobs to get back to and that is why no one cares. If they leave for lunch at 12:00 and tell me to come back I am going to blow up. read more

I had a breast MRI scheduled at this location last week and I specifically called the number they provided me to ask if I could decline the contrast dye as I am allergic to it. I asked 3 different times and the employee assured me that I could decline it when I arrived and still have the MRI without the contrast dye. So I drove almost an hour to the office in morning traffic and when I arrived and told them I wanted to decline the contrast dye due to allergies, the girl looked straight at me and said, "that's not possible" with total lack of any emotion. I told her that one their employees assured me three times that I could still have the MRI without the dye and she just shoved my paperwork back at me with an attitude and told me to go back to my doctor very rudely. I will never go to this location again and I wanted to warn others as well. read more

Sooo many negative reviews and I know why. Checked in at 11 am and it is now 2pm still in the waiting room... the front desk workers are literally incompetent. Staring at their phones and being rude as hell to all the patients. This is literally the worst place ever for any imaging being done read more

Their billing practices are really frustrating. It's almost white-collar criminal. What's ridiculous is that they don't actually start processing your refund until you request it. Yes, you have to actually request that you get a refund when they've charged you the full out-of-pocket price up front even when they've gotten paid out from your insurance company already. "Oh, you wanted a refund? Really? Well I wasn't sure if you wanted your $300 back so I was waiting for you to call and wait on hold for 10 minutes to make sure." It's obviously a rule they put in place to keep from refunding their patients unless they get chased down. I just called today and they said it takes up to 30 days from the day you request your refund to get your money back. 30 days! They said they are "backed up." I gave them my insurance information when I made the appointment so they should have verified my benefits then and just charged me my co-pay. Now I have to keep calling them to get on their case to get my money back. I'll admit, I should have known my co-pay before going in. But since it was 2 different ultrasounds I thought it might be a little expensive. I was a little surprised when I checked-in on the day of my ultrasound that I was asked to pay $390.57. It sounded a bit high, and I asked if I could be sent a bill in the mail later so I could make sure how much my insurance company was paying, but they said I had to pay first to have the ultrasound done. I found out later that my co-pay for ultrasound is actually $95. So now I've been calling their billing department for the past few weeks asking when I'll be getting my refund of roughly $300. The ultrasound tech was very nice and professional so I'm giving an extra star. And yea, I'm never going to any WaveImaging again. read more

The staff here are all so friendly and it's a extremely well kept office building. I came in for a flexer x-ray and I saw a familiar face! Their lovely receptionist is the same beautiful smiling one from the MRI center across the street called Wave Imaging. I looked at her and said, "hey, I know you!" She giggled and said "yeah, I work at both offices !" And I thought she had a twin. Super friendly, so clean, and quick process here. Medical staff members such as her are a plus plus in my books. Makes check in warmer and more personable tone. I'd recommend my friends and family here! Update** her name is Cecilia :) Awww super super sweet read more

Communication and organization needs huge improvement . It took several calls to clear up miscommunication and appointment set up. Furthermore, in one of the calls a representative would cut you off before you can even complete a sentence. Not only that but I had to upload the same documents twice (I thought this was a system mishap, but it's just unorganized). I also called in to confirm and to reschedule an appointment and was told the appointment was never set up in the beginning. I told the representative that this is not possible because I received a text confirming my appointment. Then after a few back and forth the representative finally was able to verify my appointment. I probably talked to at least 5 representatives and only one was knowledgeable to the issue I was going through. I honestly never experienced this lack of attention to details at any other treatment facilities over the phone. Hope the visit will not be as bad as it is with the scheduling department. Update: I have an appointment tomorrow at 3:15PM and now I received a text to confirm for 4PM instead of 3:15PM read more

-0 stars ! Horrible place never again will I go to a place that does not have control over how staff treats patients. The girls in front desk had attitude, mumbling words to each other while I was at the counter and harassing me verbally for a mistake on their appointments on how the message is sent to patients. Which this is beyond our control, talk to manager, but I doubt she will do something on her end she seem very friendly with front desk, which is fine but they were ALL constantly talking negative comments towards other staff names I heard them talking about a Maria and Angie to be exact and the manager was part of the conversation. Very unprofessional staff there specially with the manager, who should be the one who assures the patients well being while being seen at that facility. I also work customer service and as much as people get you upset you have to learn to control yourself that's part of adulting. Please never go there my daughter has never been as torture in her life, until she came to this facility. She came in with a possible pelvic problem, and came out in tears with back pain, stomach pain of and very traumatized. read more

WaveImaging - They said my appointment was at 4:30 and it never says it is at 4:30. Yet, this was my fault . - Radiologists Near Me - Santa Ana, California

I'm writing this as a warning: Please stay away from RadNet and all of their affiliates (Breastlink, Wave Imaging, etc.). My experience there was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share every distressing detail in hopes that it might prevent others from enduring the same. My experience began with a baseline screening mammogram at Breastlink in Beverly Hills (another subpar RadNet company). The radiologist recommended a follow-up MRI, and for convenience's sake, I decided to have my follow-up at Wave Imaging Santa Ana (another RadNet company). I realized I needed prior authorization from Blue Shield PPO after speaking with someone at their main call center, who might as well have been Ms. Cleo from the Psychic Friends Network. Seriously, I think they're based in Jamaica. The main call center is an absolute joke and ripe for lawsuits. When it was obvious I was being sent in circles, I figured out how to get in contact with the front desk. I was so excited to finally speak to someone who sounded like they knew what they were doing. I inquired about the status of my prior authorization, and the Hispanic woman working at the front desk informed me over the phone that prior authorizations are submitted AFTER services are rendered. This seemed illogical, so I got off the phone with her and tried again an hour or so later, hoping to reach a more informed person at the front desk. Instead, my call was picked up by another woman at the front desk, this time in the mammogram department at the same Wave Imaging Santa Ana location. When I asked her about my prior authorization or to be transferred to the right department, she not only didn't give me a phone number, but she also hung up on me. At this point, I was livid. I left work early (this was the second day this week I had to leave work early to ensure they were processing my prior authorization). When I got there, I asked to speak with the office manager to inform her of the delay in processing the prior authorization and to let her know her staff was rude to patients. Giselle, the office manager, came out and insisted I only called the main call center for scheduling once and that she was able to look into the call log, implying I was lying (see attached for a time-stamped call log as evidence of the two separate calls I made, both to the front desk). It seemed like Giselle was trying to protect her staff instead of addressing their negligent behavior. I left infuriated by her staff's handling of the situation and Giselle's blatant disregard. The ordeal took a more distressing turn a few days after receiving approval on my prior authorization when I received a letter from Wave Imaging RadNet, purportedly about "findings in [my] lungs"--a revelation that sent me into a tailspin of shock and fear. This letter was sent from Wave Imaging Santa Ana. I called Giselle and inquired about this; from the conversation, it was obvious she knew they had messed up. I emailed her proof of the letter and the postage-stamped envelope indicating it was from her location. She never followed up or addressed the email I sent. Finally, Rad Net Beverly Hills called me about the letter and informed me they were horrified by the mistake and that it was not for me (and in my opinion for another patient). Hopefully, another patient with lung findings isn't walking around oblivious as to their condition. It's now 3/14/24 and still no answer from Giselle or her office. Unreal. read more

On may 31st I went for a walk in X-ray and the male nurse who took my x-rays (I think I caught his name was Omar) had a bit of an attitude from the start he also has a bit of difficulty with Spanish because his instructions were unclear and confusing. After the x-rays he said something so fast that I could not catch it and just left the room. I was so confused that I had to go and find another nurse to see what was happening. If this male nurse has difficulty or doesn't want to speak Spanish it's ok! He can stick to English and have a translator around or something. I'm a grown ass man, if someone has attitude with me it doesn't faze me at all but If this is how he treats everyone I can't help but wonder how the elderly patients are treated read more

I had 3 appointments back to back with my mom. We had to wait 30+ minutes between appointments. Meaning if we had an appointment at 9am, and the next at 9:30am, we would not get to the 9:30am appointment until 10:15am. That's inconsiderate towards elderly patients, especially during COVID19 when I try to keep my mom at home as much as possible. Why can't the appointments be done on time? What's the point of an appointment if the patient doesn't get to that appointment 30-45 minutes after it was scheduled? I'm very disappointed. Also, a patient walked in without a mask and they let him sit in a room full of people. Given that there are many elderly patients in the room, it would be great if they could enforce the mask rule. Definitely not returning to this office with my mom. They don't care for elderly patients. read more

The front desk staff provides great customer service and the ultrasound technicians here are very friendly and caring. I told the front desk that my financial responsibility/copay was lower as I confirmed with my insurance, and they accepted the amount with no issues. Scheduling is terrible. I needed to get some pre-op done and i had called multiple times, talked to multiple people, confirmed my appointment with the office and my doctors got it confirmed. But the morning of, got a call saying that they would need to cancel my appointment. Luckily I was able to answer while they were leaving a voicemail and I was told that they called my doctor but my doctor said they hadn't seen me in over a year (which isn't true), and they didn't have the orders. I explained that I called them multiple times and talked to multiple people and when I said i talked to the scheduling department i was almost dissed. Like why would i follow the prompts about my appointment. I got a hold of my doctor and they had no record of that conversation, they talked to wave imaging and were told everything was fine. I tried calling the desk at wave imaging multiple times for them to not answer or call me back. I filled out everything online but was asked for all the information again when i checked in. My review is for the second floor of this building, where I received an abdominal ultrasound. The first floor looked overcrowded and busy, but that's not where I received treatment. I was greeted kindly by the receptionist on the second floor. She had me provide her with the necessary documents to check in, and then had me take a seat. I was called over by the ultrasound technician in a matter of minutes. She was really nice, but I forgot her name. I do remember the name of Liz, which was the other ultrasound technician in the room with us. Liz actually took over the ultrasound, and I must admit that she did a better job at not causing me any pain. She asked me if I was ok and provided more thorough instructions. I'm glad I gave this location a chance, since I was skeptical because of all of the negative reviews. read more

I went to Wave Imaging for an X-Ray, and the service was fine; nothing special, a "reasonable" wait time. Months later, however, I received a voicemail from a collection agency for the bill. I was pissed to say the least but two women over heard, on seemed like the manager of the front desk and the other the head of the ultra sound area both stepped in to right a wrong. Thanks to them they treated me with kindness just like they would their own. Thank you to the both of you. Sitting here right now on the second floor. This place has been poorly remodeled to barely even look like a free clinic in the third world. I am so extremely disgusted and disappointed that my insurance carrier no longer contracts with HOAG. I'm not sure what the imaging rooms will look like, but I may end up walking out. This does not instill confidence. They can do better! The scheduling was complicated at best, and I was originally given an appointment the third week of April when I was calling in December. I declined the appointment, called my doctor and then called back and was able to get an earlier appointment for today. I should say the staff are very efficient, respectful, and timely. My technician was knowledgeable and friendly. I simply will not choose to come back to a facility that in my opinion is extremely substandard. 1. Old facility is only minimally accessible for people who use walkers, wheelchairs, and/or need assistance from an attendant- just FYI. 2.
