Extremely frustrating experience with WAVE Therapy Group. There is never a live person to speak to when you call -- the phone is completely useless. The intake process was easy, but everything after that was a mess. I logged into my scheduled intake appointment and waited over 20 minutes with no provider. When I tried calling multiple times to see if the provider was late, no one answered. I eventually emailed and was told I had canceled my appointment 18 minutes before it started, which is completely untrue. I did not cancel -- I logged in and waited. Instead of calling to figure out what happened, they charged me for a missed appointment. Later I was told "Google canceled it," and now billing has to "review" whether I'll be reimbursed. Unprofessional, stressful, and not acceptable -- especially for a therapy practice. read more

I have had therapy with Mark for many years. I had three therapists prior, and he is hands down the best therapist that I've ever had. His input saved my marriage and got me over a number of hurdles in my life. Besides those events, he keeps me on an even keel. I've seen him alone, but he also does couples therapy and interventions with difficult relatives. Besides Mark, I've also heard that there are several other therapists at Wave that do a good job as they are thoroughly vetted before being taken on. I highly recommend Wave Therapy. read more

Something is way off with the way this office is run, from simply trying to communicate needs in scheduling with a particular therapist, to being forced to do an intake just to see if the therapist has availability even after intake paperwork has already been submitted , and charging me for that. First intake was canceled by intake coordinator without any communication 10 minutes prior to my appt via telehealth, did not communicate with me doesn't reschedule me and I have to go through the whole back-and-forth email process of trying to communicate with this office to see what happened, finally rescheduled again for a telehealth intake to see availability which was nothing more than a quick 20 minute review of why I'm seeking therapy, to get turned around again and told we're not sure if that particular therapist has space we will get back to you. Received a nice bill this morning that was not done correctly. I called again to try to get the billing error resolved and you can't speak to anyone, You can only leave a message and someone will get back to you. Apparently it is only a receptionist who answers the phone and she has no capabilities of transferring phone calls within the business. This has been a month of back and forth via email and no one returns phone calls no one communicates and clearly billing is a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and frustration and find a more efficient, friendly communicative office. All of this is just to see if the therapist that I personally chose even has availability. Wave therapy refund my full amount $135 and remove my card on file, what a nightmare and you can't even confirm if the therapist has openings. read more

Literally had my intake a month ago, was told to be on the lookout for an email to pair me with a therapist... been sitting in limbo for a month. pretty interesting the lack of communication here. sooo yeah. If you like waiting around for help i recommend this place... if you want help... i do not recommend it. read more

They're ready to schedule weekly sessions, and charge all the fees, but won't even take a brief phone call to see if you'd be a good fit with the therapist or if they're even qualified to see you based on your needs. I have been calling fir two weeks trying to make an appointment, they don't answer the phone and they don't call back. if this is just the answering service then how can their actual therapy services are? I mean so many locations and they can not afford a person to either answer the phone or return phone calls. Thera are some on line services that for an affordable fee the company allows the clients to make their own appointments. like Jeff Paliz in East Lake community services. read more

Disappointed in missing a critical therapy session for my teen. Found a therapist that fell under our insurance and was able to get her in for a session but their "admin" team didn't process the simple task of entering her into the system, even with an urgent request. After following up with a voicemail and email, heard nothing back. I guess mental health isn't urgent with this group which is a shame seeing that teen mental health is an epidemic. read more

Called at the beginning of December, was asked to send a text message with a copy of my insurance information. Never heard back. Have called & left messages three separate times now, and have still not heard back. Kind of feels like this is a scam to collect personal information. That, or the office staff are inept. Speaking as someone who has been through the gamut of substandard mental healthcare - I can't tell you what it means to me to finally have found this place. It is an absolute gem. Jennifer Kalia: She's a great listener and for the FIRST TIME in 8 years of seeing psychiatrists I feel like I'm finally having the outcome I once thought was unattainable. She legitimately wants to see me succeed - and it is the sweetest and most genuine thing. I feel like I'm talking to a friend because she's very understanding and down to earth, but at the same time she is rock solid when it comes to knowing her meds. She's smart, responsive and she cares. She might be an actual unicorn. And then there is Mary: a freaking legend. I have never made it past a 1st visit with a therapist, and yet, I've seen Mary now on a weekly basis for about 2-3 months. Right away I knew I could trust her and that is huge for me. I felt like I'd made it, "home". Mary is the calmest, most loving and caring person and her genuine desire to help radiates. I've learned a couple of simple strategies to help me with some of the issues I've dealt with with anxiety and low self-esteem and just having those tools has already been such a game changer. For example: everyday I remind myself of what I did right at 8pm. That one simple mind hack is changing everything.
