There was plenty of seating and for a mere $5 entry fee, I was able to get a great seat in front of the stage even though I showed up as the event started. A concession stand kept me full on soda, coffee, popcorn and hot dogs. The show seems to be run by a local radio station (WYHM 580 AM) and appears to only invite artists who play bluegrass and other Americana (but mostly bluegrass). The performance is recorded for the radio station, which also plays bluegrass. I can't believe someone puts all this effort into organizing something like this! I had a great time and will be stopping back soon, I hope. By the way, a block away is the Live and Let Live drugstore/soda fountain. I enjoyed some ice cream on my short walk to the Yonder Hollow venue.

We camped here last year and had an amazing time and couldn't wait to go back this year…read more I made a reservation in April for August for a RV for four people. In May some friends of ours called them to make a reservation for three people for the same weekend and asked to be close to us if possible and they were told that we didn't have a reservation. I called back and reserved the RV again for four people and this time put down a deposit. In July another couple who are our friends made an online reservation for an RV for two people. We all drove over six hours to the campground and when we arrived we were told by the Manager that they were double booked and she didn't know what she was going to do. She then proceeded to tell us that she had lost all of our numbers and couldn't call us to tell us what had happened, the whole time she was smiling and laughing. We told her that we had just drove over six hours and that she needed to figure something out. We were charged $100. a night for two extra people in our RV and we were not told that when we made the reservation. When I asked about the charge I was told it was for extra housekeeping fees. We had to go get our own sheets and towels. It was the same for our friends. She put nine of us into two RVs. We had our original four in ours which worked out ok. The other five she crammed into one RV that was not set up for that many people. When they pulled out the couch to make up the bed and it was full of mouse turds. I know that that can happen in the woods but when you are paying $150 a night you should expect it to be clean. Two of our friends ended up trying to sleep in the playroom because there was just no way that they could sleep in the RV. They had gotten in delivery of towels advertising the campground and the manger brought one out and was showing it off to everyone. One of our friends went to the office to find out how much they were and to buy a couple of them. He was told that they were $25 each ( too much in my opinion) and when he told the manager that he wanted to buy two she just gave him a look and walked away. She is supposedly a new and better manager than they had before, that is a matter of opinion. The theme for Saturday night was Luau and they had a special dinner that you could have for $40 a couple. We did not sign up for that because of dietary restrictions. The campground has a very nice pavilion with tables and a dance floor , they had the Luau dinner outside by the pool instead of in the pavilion. They started setting up three hours before the dinner and all of us that were enjoying the pool and sunshine was told that we had to give up our poolside seats so that they could move them and set up tables for the Luau. We were able to sit in the hottub and we watched them set up for the party. They had a woman who was topless carrying trays of silverware up against her chest and a cigarette in her mouth. They also offer free soft drinks which is a nice touch but the soda machine was crawling with ants even around the soda dispensers. The whole situation made us glad that we didn't pay for the dinner. When it came time for the dinner to start we went to the pavilion and set in some good seats for the dance that was taking place later. It started to rain and the people that were having dinner started coming in and we gave up our seats to them. When we complained about the way they handled the RV situation they offered us discounts for the next time we come. We told them that if they didn't make this right that we wouldn't be back so the discounts didn't mean anything, besides the fact that they lost our reservation in a months time so its hard to believe that they would remember to give us the discounts next year. Needless to say that we are very unhappy and won't be back.

"The fastest show on Dirt"! And this is the first race of the season this Memorial Day Weekend…read moresince last November. Hope folks still remember how to drive. When your weekend is looking like another stay at home ordinance, thus was a fun little unplanned diversion on our 520 mile trek to Atlanta. Big Mike coming over the broken PA and loud cars speeding around the dirt. Heck who knew anything like this would happen. I guess this is phase 1 or 2 of the patchwork-reopening. People are still practicing social distancing but just barely. However, I did notice that you could serve your own condiments at the concession stand. We arrived 2 hours early at 5pm but things didn't get started until after 7pm. We had a couple of cheese burgers and chicken tenders with two waters for $14. Not bad. $10pp to park and entrance fee to the speedway. This is 3/8 oval dirt track. They have bleachers but many folks brought their own chairs. We travel with ours everywhere so we did the same. Next to the wooden bleachers is grass and people were perched there as well. The track is watered down to prevent dustbowls. You should bring ear protection. We didn't this time although we could have purchased earplugs for $1 each. There were 8 different divisions with 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder and AWD and FWD cars. After sitting on a lawnmower for 3 hours I probably was half deaf anyway so the noise really didn't bother me as much, but Nicole and the little one didn't make it past the "hot laps", the introductory practice laps, which was fine by me since we'd been waiting for more than 2 hours and still had another 2.5 hours to drive to Atlanta.

It has been improved but still needs more improvements. Location; take exit 60 off Interstate 75 and go west for about 4 miles and you will see a sign on the left. You will come up on a V where you decide to either go to the right for the grand stands or go to the left for the pits or tail gate parking. I of course chose to go to the left. The concession stand in the tier parking area was fast and friendly. I used my pick up and parked in the tier parking area. Just back your truck up and pull down the tail gate to watch the race. You can see most of the track from the so called "tier parking" which is what I call pick up truck or tail gate parking. One thing they need is a bathroom facility complete with water and a sink to wash your hands and etc. I saw only one portable stall to go to the bath room on the tier parking area. The dirt track racing was very entertaining and I would come back again. John Ownbey won the late model race on a Friday night while a Chevroltet Performance sponsored event. So this was a big race with lots of cars here tonight.
