After a really disappointing experience with another local appliance company, I decided to call a St.Paul guy with good Yelp reviews. He wasn't interested in driving all the way to Hudson but told me to call Watson and said I'd get good, honest service. And he was right. Watson's (and technician Cory) is a pleasure to do business with, and I won't hesitate to use them in the future. read more

If there was LESS than one star, it would be here. Watson Appl. came to repair a less than 1 yr old GE upright garage ready freezer. That repair seemed to go without a hitch until now. I am out 2 yrs from the initial service and I was having the same issue with air circulation. I reached out to GE and was set up with a specialized GE-technician due to the recurrence of a fan motor. The technician arrived and upon investigation he found that the unit had been modified. Due to this, the GE-initiated service was no longer able to do anything. His words, "Per the system, the diagnosis of your most recent service call is: TECH: WATSON APP WAS OUT AND CUT FZ FAN AND EXPOSED WIRE WHERE IT GOT MOISTURE IN ELECTRICAL AND BLEW THE FAN. PLUG WAS CUT OFF AND 3RD WIRE MISSING. CAN'T FIX DUE TO CUT WIRES . CR ISSUE OR WATSON APPL ISSUE. IT WAS NOT FACTORY SERVICE DONE RIGHT, TAG AGREES. CUSTOMER HAS PICTURES OF CUT WIRES If you need any further assistance, please reply to this email (without changing the subject line) to be further assisted. Have a great day and thank you for working with GE Appliances. Follwing this, I reached out to Waston Appl and they said since the service appt on my machine was less than 1 yr away they would no longer offer me assistance on this matter. I tried to impress to her that this was not an actual service given to me, rather a non-authorized modification to the unit!!! CAUTION WITH THIS COMPANY! THIS IS NOT AN ETHICAL SITUATION. read more

Watson's Appliance - the factory installed clip, has the red/black wires cut, bypassing the clip and directly wiring securing with wire-nuts. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Oak Park Heights, Minnesota

Dishonest! They break things when they're suppose to repair them. Then you call back and they blame the damage that they did on you. Buyer beware they don't always repair. read more

Watson came to our house to fix a broken latch/lock on our front loader washer. After the Watson employee was at our home, he said that he "needed some different supplies" and left our home without explaining the issue. He returned weeks later to "finish" the job. In March 2024, the washer stopped working and we contacted the original retailer to troubleshoot the issue. Upon further investigation, the retailer's service team confirmed that when Watson came to fix our washer, he actually broke it and created a fire hazard. It was "just a matter of time" for it to spark out the circuit board. Since the "fix" was no fix at all, we are again without a functioning washer. read more

Worst service company, might even be worse than that sounds. Actually did a "fix" that rendered the device Junk!

From start to finish, a truly underwhelming experience that I can't recommend. A pair of customer service reps didn't follow through on their promises of providing an estimate before the guy showed up to replace my broken oven glass. The estimate I got from the tech was so high I likely would have replaced rather than repaired the oven, but with him standing at the door, it was too late to make that choice. His work seemed competent, but for the price I'd expect all the broken glass to not be left behind for me to deal with, and I'd like less of the screws to be missing/cross threaded. This was a master class in how doing all the little things poorly makes one not want to hire you to do the big things ever again. read more

Dryer stopped heating. Quick appointment. Arrived within appointment time frame, with advanced arrival notice by phone. Repair technician Bruce diagnosed the problem of a bad door latch, causing dryer shut down. He avoided a more expensive repair by observing for a time until the failure occurred. While he watched and waited, he tightened up some screws and ended the rattle the dryer was making. He also checked the belt and other parts. No one likes the costs to repair things nowadays, but the service today was worth it to keep appliance working. I have had Watson's for several repairs and recommend them. read more

It took two trips to get my dryer repaired. None it was there fault!! The first part they put in failed, so they came back very quickly! The second repair person, got it taken care of, I wish I new the name of that person. I would give that person A VERY BIG SHOUT OUT!!... that person went there xtra mile!! Cleaned out around the front dryer vent! Thank you read more

Needed a "Lift switch" for my washer. The tech was in and out in and hour. Great job.

The technician was knowledgeable and super friendly and courteous. I understand that service times are longer than normal. What I have a problem with is how unprofessional the customer service is, Lisa was extremely rude and unprofessional read more

This company went above and beyond to repair my 3 year old LG refrigerator. Kelly in the office made several phone calls to LG to get the paperwork necessary to be certain all repairs were fully covered by LG. Any complaints I have are on the part of LG. Kelly was persistent and finally successful so that all labor and parts costs were fully covered by the warranty. The technicians that did the fix were knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Watson Appliance for your service needs. read more

Had my fridge die overnight. After moving everything to the freezer in the garage, I called a couple places. Watson's could make it same day. Jordan was the tech that showed up. Quick diagnosis, explained it all, had the part with. Everything done in 15 min. Service charge of just coming out was 89 bucks on top of parts and labor, so that sucked, but if you need someone fast and good, you typically end up paying a bit more. I'm satisfied with the work, just wish they would have mentioned that when I called in. read more

When my 3 yr old dishwasher wouldn't start, I randomly called Watson's for service. A tech came out the next day! Cory diagnosed the problem to be the circuit board. He ordered the part stating it could take up to 2 weeks. I was pretty happy when I was called in just 1 week, telling me the part had come in. I was scheduled the next day for service. Cory came out again, installed the part and tested the dishwasher. Everything worked. And with a 1 year warranty! Life is good again Thank you Watson's and Cory! read more

My washing machine decided to stop working 3 days before spring break. I decided to call someone local, because the place in the twin cities said they couldn't come out for 3 days. Watson's came out the same day. They gave me a window of 1-5 pm, called me 20 minutes out and was at my house just past 1 pm after me calling them the say day at 9 am. Cory was professional, and had my washing machine fixed within an hour. I didn't have to wait for parts or anything, which made me feel really great. Cory gave me instructions before leaving on how to use my washing machine to the best of it's ability and make it last longer and make my clothes cleaner. These new machines are a bit tricky! Thanks so much. read more

The tech was friendly and professional. My whirlpool dryer was not heating..diagnosis a fuse. Bill $216.08. Total time to diagnose repair 5 min. Cost of fuse from online parts company $1.75. You be the judge, is that a fair and honorable transaction. I have never written a review before, I was so surprised and incensed, I felt I had to. I will explore other options next time. Caveat emptor... (May the buyer beware) read more

In Jan 2016 my wife and I had a wine fridge that stopped working. After several calls around town, Watson appliance ensured me they could fix the appliance with a simple trip to our house. Upon arriving the technician quickly back peddled on the story and stated they'd needed to take it into their shop for repair. They took the appliance and went radio silent for over 2 months. No phone call, no update, no trackable status. In April we finally got someone to track down the order only to learn that they deemed the problem not repairable because the broken piece was on backorder and scheduled our appliance for recycle. Despite being VERY disappointed in the absence of any communication about our order, we dropped the issue and replaced the appliance. A month later we got a bill for the repair trip where they not only didn't fix our appliance, they took it from us, promised to repair it, ignored us for two months and then recycled it. I called to inform them of the bill and that I wouldn't be paying it. Over the course of the next few months, We have continually received additional requests for this payment to which we've replied each time that it is an unjust charge and will not be paying it. Ultimately we received a threat letter from the owner of the company that if we did not pay the charge that they'd take litigation action against us because we've failed to communicate with them regarding this work request. What!!! Are you kidding me! And, all this over a $90 bunk charge. The lack of communication and professionalism internally and with their customers is mind blowing. We finally paid the fee just to make them go away, but this whole experience was just disgraceful on their part. Their customer service tactics are deceiving, rude and bullying and I will never recommend this company to anyone. Beware of this shady practice company. read more

Had washer fixed have excel energy plan so it is covered great tech great people to work with.

We have a home warranty contract and were given Watson's to deal with. The tech came and looked at our dryer and told us it caught fire (we had figured that out ourselves due to the smell throughout the house!) So he said the dryer still works and that the lint had caught fire. He didn't offer to clean the lint, told us that when we use the dryer now that we will always have the burnt smell which will be in our clothes as well. He was here less than an hour, knew nothing about working with the warranty company and even though we heard him talking with Watson's on next steps we had to call Watson's after a week to find out what they did to follow up with the warranty company. The woman we spoke with at Watson's said he didn't file a report because the dryer (25+ years old) fire was our fault; she was not the least bit helpful at all. The tech had an "I could care less" attitude as well as the woman we spoke to. We will NEVER deal with them ever again and are telling others of our experience! read more
