Badly let down by Angela and David from Avondale…read more At start of year they came out to discuss our bathroom. During visit we had bathroom measurements done, discussions about choice of units, shower, WC etc. Shortly afterwards we paid the deposit with fitting date all agreed and finalised. With around 2 weeks before fitting we asked a question of not fully tiling two of bathroom the walls (as previously agreed) but to tile up to halfway and plaster the top half for painting. Wasn't a definite change, more a query to see if could be done. Angela replied to say that they don't plaster and since they were unable to meet our new requirements she was cancelling our fitting. Also, to supply our bank details and they'd refund our deposit. We said that since they didn't plaster we were happy to leave everything as is and carry on with fitting as agreed on scheduled date as the date was in the calendar and the agreement hadn't changed. Got another reply repeating that she was cancelling and for us to supply bank details so they can refund deposit. We are now left with £2000 of bathroom furniture and no-one to fit it with the added hassle of now having to find another company which will inevitably take another few months before the bathroom can be fitted. From our experience, David and Angela show no regard for their customers, are highly unreliable and unprofessional while being happy to disregard a mutually agreed contract of work and let customers down. Spend your money elsewhere with a reputable company that won't drop you with minimal notice. Stay well away.

SOS Plumping and Heating installed a new heating system in my home December 2013.Different system…read morefrom my previous one.Since then I have had to Phone them to come out 5 times. The radiators are not fully heating up,the noise from them is terrible. I struggle to get enough hot water to have a bath. The kitchen hot water tap, when used, comes out with force, the surrounding area is covered in water. On the last call out from the Owner,I was told I had a leak in my pipe which was causing the problem. He used some type of liquid to see if that would solve the problem. It has not.I phoned the owner once again,he said he would phone me the next day.1 week later still waiting.Sent an e-mail,asking him to contact me to resolve this problem, which he has stated is a fault with my pipes. Not the work he has done.Surely he should have checked my pipes before putting in a totally new type of system,Combi boiler,in my home. This has cost me £2600.To date I have NOT received any answer to my e-mail.At the very least,he could have repaired the pipe, charged me for that and I could have the heating system I have paid for and do not have.

Long story but they did a large job in my house in 2015 with new Worcester boiler, which took them…read morean age but seemed fine and price was competitive. They failed to turn up for the annual service in 16 despite phoning me to arrange it. In 2017 they did the service. In 2018 the boiler broke down. They told me to contact Worcester as it was under warranty. Worcester fixed it but said there was a problem with installation. Not being plumbers or heating experts (why would we be), when they came out to fix the issue with the condensate pipe in June 2018, I assumed they'd fixed it. Same issue arose start of September, the boiler getting flooded and damaged again. It turned out they hadn't fitted a 'brake' to the pipe and it was simply fixed into our down pipe; the downpipe was blocked, so SOS and Worcester considered this our fault. The fact is that no one explained this and we had to pay 300 for new parts for the boiler under warranty and will need to get a plumber (not using SOS again) to install the condensate pipe in a way that runs no risk of damaging the boiler. So, 2 stars because you could say there is an element of me being to blame, but you do expect supposed professionals to explain properly what they are doing, what can happen, and do the plumbing parts professionally with some sense of a duty of care.
