Is it just me but does it seem that time stands still inside laundry mats? Specifically, coin…read moreoperated laundry mats? Before I even walk in, the groovy flashy backs are about to hit me full force as I walk by and notice the way the store lettering is written eerily similar to the way KC and The Sunshine Band's record logo wrote theirs? Perhaps I am wrong but I found this detail cute. Is this a telltale sign of what's to come? Who knows? I got a blanket to wash so make a hole, people! As I walk in, I'm immediately smacked in the face visually with the 70's. Maybe early 80's, too. It's all a blur now. Everything was mellow yellow, pea green, burnt orange, wood paneled, egg shelled and you guessed it...tiled with linoleum. I got the strange feeling the Iron Sheik was watching me from a corner somewhere. They also have an original pac man and galaga arcade game in which a fat kid came around and asked for spare change to play but he quickly learned the cold hard facts of life through the world of the laundry mat is that a child's happiness does not come before clean laundry. Ever. There was also a vending machine but there was no Tab, Sunkist, RC, Shasta, Upper10...y'all know what I'm saying. The good stuff is all gone thanks to the meddling government, so they've updated their goods. All in all, I'm sitting here in this laundry mat watching my laundry spin round and round in circles and am thinking...how much I miss my banana seat bike, my Mr T kite, rolos (who am I kidding, I still eat these) or how my dad would freak out and fall off his stool every time Walter Payton would score a touch down and how my mom would yell at him every time cause he would spill his beer all over the floor, and you know what...I'm not so mad anymore at my cat for pissing on my blanket. Most people may not notice laundry mats. They are usually not in the greatest section of town, in strip malls, considered to be "low rent", severely outdated, but so what. Whenever I need them, I'm glad they are there.

The washers range from $7 (commercial washer) to $4 (standard) and the dryers are $3 (commercial) to $1.50 (standard). Each cycle lasts about 20 minutes. Overall a decent place if you're in a bind for a washer and dryer service.

It even has a section where children can play or watch TV. You can get change there to run the washers and dryers, or... IMO, even better, load the Speed Queen app to your phone, and skip the hassle of coins. Since I haven't been to a laundromat in awhile, prices were higher than expected, but with all Clean Wave has to offer, I think it's worth the cost. I'm using the laundromat for the next month until my home is ready, but even after that, I plan to come back here to wash my pillows and comforters in their larger machines!

I did not know how to add money to Venmo so I asked if there was any other way to pay they said CASH!! So I asked was someone going to be there today the owner gives an attitude saying they are not gonna coordinate with another staff that the service is meant to be contactless, in which they gave me the option to pay cash. I asked them to not ruin my day by giving me attitudes their reply was if you want to have a good day don't ruin mine. I'm like if you meeting me to get my clothes ruin your day then don't meet me "simple". I did state I did not want to do business with a miserable bi***. I finally found out how to add money to Venmo to cancel out having to meet with the owners having an attitude. I sent the money they sent the code to get my items. When I get there the owners barge in front of my 4 year old daughter and say hi I'm the miserable bi***. I had to take my daughter to the car because the owners were both looking mad and shaking and saying I didn't pay them. Her husband went to the car when I put my daughter in the car like he was getting a gun. So as I'm getting my clothes her and her husband say that makes sense why you didn't want to pay Venmo cause you took the money back. Money would have been direct. But they had a problem with that after offering that option. They both were tag teaming me like their day was already hell, but taking it out on me. I was not afraid of neither one as they wanted me to be I guess but they are not nice nor professional be ware. Also I showed proof that the order is paid she said well sometimes it takes time for Venmo to send it. Smh again cash would have been direct but they had a problem with it. Makes no sense. I won't be using this place again!! OMG THE LIES THE OWNER JUST WROTE!! THERE WERE NO THREATS MADE FROM EITHER PARTY!! MY FOUR YEAR OLD WAS WITH ME BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE COMING TO BARGE IN ON ME WITH DRAMA!! I CAN POST THE TEXT MESSAGES!! YOU HAVE CAMERAS POST THOSE!! LIES LIES LIES!! GOD KNOWS!!
