Well first of all, for one thing I've been going to this place for years and I will say what…read moreanother person said. Some of the staff are generally compassionate and caring and they will do their best to try and help you resolve a problem or set up some other type of service that you might need. I've been going there for a long time and I had an understanding with my physician. I needed to be provided meds for my condition and they agreed on providing said meds based on the fact that I would take them responsibly and would not hand them out to people or sell anything because we all know medications sell especially in a rural area. So it felt like we had communication and if something needed to be done they would do it You want me to help you with this No problem I can do this. I can offer this as a solution and that would be the end of it. Some people would ask you how you're feeling how you're doing from the staff to your provider which should be standard anyways. But anyways, as someone else mentioned high turnover rate staff don't last very long no matter who it is. Whether it's an intake staff triage nurse for various reasons they don't last. Now, I had one nurse she was very nice and she mentioned that she had a similar difficulty with a task like I had and we were on the same page. She was really nice We had a few things in common and she was around the same age different professions but I felt equal talking to her so that was cool. The thing of it is one provider goes another provider comes in few months later. Another provider comes in and gets pretty confusing and then you're trying to get your health taken care of and describe your problems and get your provider to listen to you. But as soon as you start building a rapport with a provider they leave and another one comes in. Then another critical point is when you have a health issue you feel like if you go in for the health issue You're burdening people there and burdening your provider because they are overbooked and can barely even see you for the one appointment, but they get paid for an hour's worth of time whether or not they see you for 10 minutes or 30 minutes so they kind of don't care they don't care in a way such as why you're even there because they're going to get paid. So even if you have an appointment that's for a follow-up or a standard checkup, they might not show up into the room for 30 minutes at a minimal. So then you have the nurses and the staff that still get paid to do what they're typically supposed to do when you go into intake they check your vitals and all the basic stuff ask you a few questions then you play the waiting game. Now part of this issue probably stems from the fact that they don't get paid right away. If they see somebody that's getting some type of State health Care mainecare or Medicare or something, one of them is worse than the other so they know they're going to be waiting months before they get paid So I think that's why some of these providers get comfortable coming in for 10 minutes after almost 40 minutes of you waiting around and then to top it all off once in awhile they'll throw in the oh well we had to see the patient for 10 minutes past their appointment schedule so we can charge extra for that because we are waiting to get paid from the state but then they look at it also like oh we have 10 patients booked for today Eight of them are paying cash so we don't really have time to deal with The two other people that we are going to see that have mainecare. We're just going to get them out quickly, which also leads to the point of overbooking like someone else said Receptionist and secretaries will schedule an appointments for people then if a provider decides that they have 12 patients for the day and they're all going to be paying out of their pocket or their insurance will pay within a day or two. Then they will take those 12 patients for the whole day and get rid of the maine care. Basically shuffle you off to a different date and you will have to reschedule and you will be rescheduled to a day when they have almost no patients which makes sense because they won't make any money if they show up for 8 to 12 hours and they have no patients scheduled which doesn't surprise anybody in a rural practice. You also have to kind of wonder why are some of these providers here? How did they land here? What did they do somewhere else? Should they even be practicing? The state of Maine is so desperate for healthcare providers and professionals that they will just about take anyone on. Even if they've only had two years of experience at some community college. Some of these providers, no doubt have been banned from practicing in other states. My girlfriend went in for screening for medication that she was on A substance was detected maybe two and it was thrown in her face several times during later appointments and she was taking off of her medication and that was instantly cold turkey

I have been going to this clinic for almost 10 years and have always found them to be helpful,…read morekind, and patient. They have made sure I get the medical care I need and have helped me access whatever referrals and other clinics are necessary to supplement what they can offer. I really love having a local clinic just a few minutes from my house, and I have always had positive experiences here.
