I am generally not a big fan of the artificial environment of these 'planned' estates I find it all a bit sterile and lifeless; however, the Waterstone Cafe in Sanctuary Lakes is quite pleasant. With a large deck wrapping around the lake side of the building, it has a feeling of being right on the water.
The menu is quite varied so should meet most needs. My brother and I shared the tapas plate, which was easily enough for two. The platter was well thought out and although included some of the favourites (marinated fetta, olives, chorizo etc) also included so tasty treats like cajun chicken pieces, prawn skewers, and risotto balls.
The cafe serves a breakfast menu all day, as well as a lunch and dinner menu. There is also a selection of coffees, which is nice to see. Generally cafes have the standard wholesale Grinders/Map/CoffeeMio/etc. Waterstone has a handful for different varieties to suit the coffee buff. Ditto for tea; there is a good selection to choose from.
Overall, I have enjoyed my experience at the Waterstone and will return. read more
