I asked how long and she responds rudely I just said I'm working on your paperwork and another staff member dressed in scrubs chimes in we need to verify insurance. I mentioned this was provided when making the appointment and my wife is a patient, on my insurance. I asked how long; 15 minutes or 30 since I work and have appointments. Apparently it is $450 for a simple visit now? This is clearly a result of new ownership by schweiger dermatology. I would never have accepted service for $450. I paid with a debit card. Why would you have me pay $150 up front, and then secretly bill me another $300???? Why would you let me leave, when I owed you $300? This is an embarrasment, and I will be finding a new office that doesn't have a FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLAR simple visit fee. Absolute insanity. My account is under review with the financial team, but this is INSANITY. It's like going to Mcdonalds for a happy meal, paying $8, and then you start receiving phone calls and letters telling you "haha just kidding, it's actually $400". I feel betrayed, bamboozled, befuddled, disgusted, robbed, and DECEIVED. Edit: It was a mistake on their end and they have fixed it. Pretty big mistake... Dr. P is the best. Their disorganization has regularly put me through phone tag hell and left me stranded without my medication. Departments do not communicate between each other adequately and they have failed to refill my prescription after prescription refill appointments not once but twice in the last two years, resulting in painful weeks waiting for my medication. I've currently been calling and leaving messages every day this week begging for the refill I paid to have done two months ago with no response from any practitioner. I will be seeking a new doctor to monitor my autoimmune disease and administer my refills.

Dr. Hunter gets 5 stars for her expertise, standard of care, and attention to detail...front office…read morestaff, not so much...I had what was close to an argument with a staff person who insisted that I owed a deductible...I contacted my secondary and it turns out I was correct...still waiting to see if I get an unwarranted bill that I have to correct...more important...my phone call from staff reporting biopsy reports did not advise me that my results were "in situ" squamous growths...without this critical information that the cancers were not invasive...I scheduled Mohs surgery sooner, which was very intrusive and inconvenient...another example of the tribulations of being a patient making decisions without being given all the relevant information...I'll continue to be a patient because of Dr. Hunter's expertise and "bedside manner," but I wish the practice in general would up their game.
