This review stuck out to me after my visit today -…read more " Bad dentist. Avoid Greg Davis at all costs. He doesn't care about your dental health. He will work on wrong teeth and the work he does is PAINFUL." He doesn't listen at all and does very bad work. This guy should retire and stop hurting people. " I wanted to share my experience at State Street Dental. I will give 2 stars because the staff (front desk) was incredibly nice and helpful. The Dentist was also kind and cordial , but there was never once a mention of procedures and after care before it was done. I basically came in with 3 teeth that were once infected. 2 were broken, and one was an infected crown. My tooth was pulled (it was a molar I believe) and my other teeth were "filled" ? here is my biggest issue and I think the company itself should look into this, because it is an issue for some people. I understand there is an addiction crisis right now with pain medicine. I am not sure if this place is biased or if this is there procedure but I was told AFTER all teeth were treated and extracted that no medicines would be prescribed. I never got "ibuprofen" as they claimed and listen, the pain I was in was SO SEVERE I left the office in TEARS. So after HOURS of pain, I went to the emergency room and they were baffled this place does not offer temporary pain medicine for post op. If your teeth are hurting THAT bad, you've been on the MAX amount of Tylenol and ibuprofen, and have had literal STICHES , why are we not prescribing pain medicine? It doesn't make sense to me and it seems after reading this other patients have had a painful experience. I personally felt the dentist didn't do the best job. My tooth HURT the ENTIRE time it was being extracted and the numbing shots (In my opinion) were not in the right place. I've had many teeth treated in the past by other dentists and the ORAL SURGEON I had did an AMAZING job. All in all, I don't think I would come back here unless I was guaranteed something for pain if I get more EXTRACTIONS. It was the worst pain I've ever been in and the ONLY relief I got was a pill from the emergency room. Thank you state st dental for letting me leave miserable, in pain, and I had to go to the ER for actual assistance. No one seemed to care either at this office either, so the other reviews about lack of empathy are pretty accurate. Thanks for reading this. I really wished dentist and doctors would treat everyone the same way- regardless of how we look and what insurance we have.

At first I loved this dentist, but then as a returning patient they were terrible with scheduling…read moreand would text or call the day of my husbands appointment and say the person he was seeing wasn't able to come in that day. It happened numerous times so we just gave up because we moved our work schedules around the appointments all for them to cancel last minute.

Let me tell you a short story. There once lived a woman who…read morehated dentists. Visiting the dentist for routine care was so traumatic that she put off routine visits and of course soon, she needed to go. Oh she tried to put it off, but the aches and pains forced her to look for one and soon! She tried one dentist suggested by her dad but this guy was a right stick-in-the-mud! He told her he didn't work on people who were afraid of the dentist, you see. And so it was until she really had to find a dentist and right quick! She looked around and decided on River City Dental and Dr. Walker. She was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was. The atmosphere was calm and happy. Since she didn't like dentists, this helped. The staff told her they would do everything they could to ensure the maximum insurance coverage, which also helped. Now, to face her fears: the dentist. And oh my, what a great guy! Dr. Walker, a graduate of local BSU understood what it's like to deal with frightened people. He also didn't talk down to her--he had worked with Indians in Alaska, some of whom hadn't seen a dentist in decades, so he was used to working on people like that without judgment. She found herself relaxing and, could it be, actually forgot for the four-hour procedure that she was in a dentist's chair! And she lived happily ever after. The End. Dr. Walker and the staff at River City Dental is the best dentist I have ever visited. And the lady in the story? She's real. She also loves going to the dentist now.
