My family has been coming here for about 2 years and will continue to! The owner is a kind quiet man and is always so hardworking and helpful! read more

A language barrier is no excuse for a piss poor attitude. Don't make excuses for poor behavior. Even a dog knows the difference when he's stumbled over and when he's been kicked. The owner was rude, unhelpful and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The fact that I came to give him business did not matter. I wouldn't bother spending money where I'm not welcomed. He essentially told me "You're creating a line by bringing too many bottles to fill and I won't fill them." The 1 star reviews are accurate. I don't care how amazing the water tastes (according to a handful of reviews apparently - not my opinion). I'm also not asking for the red carpet to be rolled out for me either. I'm paying for a product, so I just need basic respect. I will be driving further away to businesses who appreciate me. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

After reading other reviews and experiencing it firsthand, the common theme is clear, the owner's attitude at Waterpia is the problem. The owner is openly rude, dismissive, and confrontational. Questions are met with irritation, explanations feel forced, and there is a general sense that customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the business exists. This is not an isolated incident, it is consistent with what many others have already pointed out. What makes it worse is the lack of care around the vending machine itself. The machine looked poorly maintained and not particularly clean, which is concerning for a place selling drinking water. When combined with an unwelcoming attitude and zero transparency, it does not inspire confidence in what you are buying. They also limit how much water you are allowed to purchase, which feels less about operations and more about control. Taken together, the tone, restrictions, and lack of basic courtesy make it very clear that customer experience and community goodwill are not priorities here. There are better options nearby that treat people with respect and maintain a cleaner, more professional operation. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I'm impressed by this location. The staff is attentive. He helped rinse out my water bottles. Fill my water bottles with water. Seal the water bottle to avoid leakage, wipe my water bottles. Put them in my cart and load them into my trunk. :) The place is clean. Has multiple rocking chairs to sit on while you wait. It's 5 star service. I paid $10 for two 5 gallon water bottles filled with alkaline water. I would visit again. read more

Customer service is consistently awful but the water is amazing and reasonably priced. I have been coming to this business for 4 years and not once has the older gentleman running the store ever acknowledged me or anyone else coming in, leaving or paying. They play Christian music in the background which I find odd because he doesn't seem to like or enjoy working people or behave in a Christian like way. He seems angry and disgruntled all the time. read more

We have been going there for many years without a problem and the service was great inside the store. Then the store hours drastically decreased and we had to resort to using their outside water dispenser having to wait in long lines just to pump our own water. The store owner Jerd's ti sell the store to people who will keep the doors open longer, or go hack to normal store hours. We are now looking for another water store that is open during normal business hours. read more

TL;DR: never again. We had errands in the same strip mall and thought instead of going to Sprouts or Jimbo's where we usually fill our small water jugs (we don't use big 3 gals while out of town visiting family here) that we could check out this place my mom had spotted. When we walked up and peeked in, I already got weird vibes, but thought we could get over it and try something different because it's closer, Jimbo's machine is often in use and the one outside at Sprouts only dispenses in full gallon increments, not a half. At some store machines, you fill until you're done and pay at the register for what you dispensed. I was hoping for that option. I saw no one was using the alkaline water and the stations look like self serve; there are no directions or signage about not using them. I filled up our 1 gal and .5 gal bottles in about 30 seconds and then waited at the counter to be checked out but there was no one there. While I waited for service, I read among the counter's many notes that there's a minimum $10 purchase to use debit/credit and our water would be $1.50. So my husband ran to the ATM at CVS and got a 20 with a $3.50 ATM fee. He had time to find the ATM and come back well before anyone acknowledged us. I couldn't tell who worked there and who were customers. There were several people sitting in a row of rocking chairs, and after a while I started to get uncomfortable thinking we jumped a line of people waiting for a worker to fill their bottles. Finally when I could figure out the man that worked there, I asked if we could be rung up. He seemed irritated and muttered a question we couldn't understand twice. We told him alkaline, 1 gallon and a half. It seemed like the only reason he helped us was because it was faster than chewing us out. I totally understand language barriers, but if I owned a store, I would make a serious effort to learn the necessary vocabulary to run my business well. And I don't accept a language barrier as a reason for being unhelpful; a smile and a wave can communicate- hello, welcome, have a seat, I'll be with you, etc. And the signage that is there is in English, so it would be totally possible to make some signage about how it all works. Maybe even put the filling stations behind the counter and leave the side open for carts if they don't want people loading their bottles onto carts or using the spigots. Anyways... 25 minutes and $5 later, we got out of there with our little bottles filled. I feel gross thinking about the experience. I don't know why anyone goes there more than once. read more

I had been coming here for many years. Most recently the (male) owner has had horrible customer service. I don't expect much but it's a family owned business he should be grateful for his customers. The female (his wife) is usually more friendly. I came in and put my empty jugs in the carts that he uses to bring the water out and he got really upset over that. Other customers noticed and asked him if he was having a bad day. He said " yes everyone wants water today!" . He should be happy people are coming to his business. I'll pass and use a water dispenser somewhere else or drive to the other water spot on North Broadway. read more

Owner is a hard working man that is focused on customer service. He seems gruff, but he is a sweet man.

The owner is a man of few words but he really is nice. I think he just expects a little respect and I am amazed how rude people can be. The water there is the best! read more

It's a great, affordable, and convenient spot to refill your water bottles. They have two outdoor stations, and it only costs $1.75 to fill a 5-gallon bottle. read more

I can't believe this place is still in business. The man that owns/runs this store is the most rude/angry person I have ever encountered in a place of business. He cares nothing about customer service and went as far as to bad mouth me, practically push me aside and refuse to ring me up, because I filled my own water bottles. He said rudely 'I don't want your money'. I would strongly encourage anyone not to subject yourself to this man's negative energy and angry disposition! read more

I've been coming to this water store for years, but I will no longer be a customer. They've now implemented a 30-gallon limit per person, which is frustrating for those of us who rely on larger quantities. On top of that, the owner is consistently rude and speaks in a foreign language when he's irritated by a customer -- which feels unprofessional and unwelcoming. What's more, the store is cluttered with what looks like other people's discarded items -- almost like he's hoarding old junk that was meant to be given away or thrown out. It's messy and gives the store a neglected, chaotic feel. Very disappointed in how this place has changed. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

this guy is rude as hell. i came in as a new customer no greetings or info told of where to place my gallon so i placed it on a cart where the rest of the empty bottles we're. (that's what everyone else was doing) he didn't inform me where to put it when he clearly saw me walk in. after i put my bottle down he looked at me like i did something wrong made a comment i couldn't understand and pushed my bottle to the corner so it was clear he was pissed off. I was the 2nd customer to walk in before 3 other people arrived and he made me wait till everyone left to have me pay. clearly intentional. u do whatever with this info but this guy is clearly not a people person. read more

Excellent service and is very helpful with your bottles...is actually very a very nice guy...best water around..

Have been buying alkaline water here for last 7 years . Clean water essential for good health

Amazing owner. He is always helpful. His service is quick, pleasant, and the ambiance is welcoming. His water is super affordable. I would highly recommend this place if you're local. They also provide water bottles and water bottles holder. read more

The old man that owns that place is rude. I went there with one 5 gal jug; I wanted to rinse it before using the vending machine since I saw there was a crowd forming but he kept getting in front of me and insisted on using both the rinse spouts. Didn't say anything just glared at me while I rinsed my jug. Never going back there. Plenty of other places to take my business. read more

Great service. Speedy service but if you need to wait they have a variety of different rocking chairs to sit.

Owner was pretty rude to customers today... swishing his hands at customer who was filling his waters at the water bar and throwing a tantrum about using his card to pay. The customer had 5 jugs filled and it was 8.50. Apparently it's a $10 min otherwise you need to pay cash. Weird vibes from this guy and Pretty awkward man. Not sure if he just having a bad day but I won't be retuning to this store. Aqua bar off Broadway has friendly customer service. I'll drive a bit farther to have better experience from ownership and staff. Surprised to see the decent reviews must be the water? Definitely not the customer service lol. read more

We've been coming here over a decade. The owner, Mr. Park, used to be polite and helpful. Now he's rude and indifferent. He ignores what's said to him and goes through the motions as though life weren't worth living. I feel bad for him, but honestly, after he ignored my question (which a customer in one of the rocking chairs finally answered), then at 2:10 on a Saturday he locked the door knowing we were about to go in, I won't be going back. (He exited with no greeting and ignored me when I called: "Hey! Are you coming back?") It's like he dislikes his customers, or deeply wants fewer of them. Maybe he should raise his prices. read more

I've been going to this water store for a little over a year now. The owner is very rude, despite that I always try to be pleasant and polite to him. My boyfriend has said he's nice to him but I've never seen it. I was in today and, while he helped another customer to their car, myself and another patron started filling our bottles at the water bar. When the owner returned, he literally screamed 'don't touch' at me and the other patron. There is no signing anywhere in the store to suggest that it isn't a self-service situation. I certainly will not be returning. read more

The water is good and this man does his job efficiently, but wow... he has got to be the rudest person I have ever met. I am shocked that some people are saying he's nice and friendly. I have never actually seen him treat anyone in the store with much more than disdain. I always figured maybe he's overworked or perhaps feels unappreciated so I try to make sure that I am beyond respectful. I always say please and thank you and I refer to him as Sir even though I am older than him. I don't take his rudeness personally because I see he treats everyone the same. However, a few days ago, I thought maybe if I'm a little friendlier it mIshtar make him feel better about this job which he clearly seems to despise. So I paid him a compliment on his business and service. He stopped what he was doing, turned around and looked into my eyes and starred me down for what seemed like an eternity ... I mean, if looks could kill ... It literally made my stomach jump. I was shocked and actually kind of scared. It was borderline psycho behavior. When he finally turned around I apologized and told him that I was just trying express my appreciation. He ignored me, as he has always done in the past. I definitely will now be traveing as far as necessary to not have to deal with this incredibly unhappy hateful man. YIKES!!! read more

The water tastes so fresh and refreshing! If you think you don't like drinking water, it may be the water you're drinking and not you! We seem to drink more water when we fill our large bottles from this store. You can get it yourself from the outside vending area or bring your bottles in to get rinsed and filled. They sell supplies like large water bottles and ceramic holders, also. read more

Best tasting water in Escondido! Come here weekly for alkaline and regular water. They use a coconut based filter which helps sweeten the water a tiny bit. They are both helpful and wash your bottles and carry them to your car on a cart after filled. The exterior filling station is fast with the ability to fill 2 bottles at once, or for someone else to do theirs at the same time. The alkaline water is the best, besides Carlsbad's water, but definitely cheaper. Would recommend coming here if you live close by. Also they play Air1 on the radio which is the best, nothing like getting filled up with the sounds of positive encouraging water of life, while getting you water bottles filled! read more

The couple who owns the store will clean your bottle before they fill it. $1.75 for a 5 gallon bottle and the water is fluoride free!

Came here and bought two 5 gallon of water. I was greeted by a friendly asian lady. Her and her husband help me load my water in my car. They don't talk much but, they are very nice people. This water station is very clean! I'll deffenetly come back for a refill. read more

I just have to say I've been coming here since 2015 to get our five gallon water bottles filled. It might be the best water around at a great price but the service is a bit rude, slow and possibly even racist. My daughter and I have tried to engage conversations with the owner/operator, tip him and relate to how busy he can be but we're always met with aloof disdain to the point where it's obvious he may not like us. I know English is his second language but I've witnessed him speaking English with other customers from time to time. My daughter has an African American friend and he literally stopped dead in his tracks to pause and stare at her in the back seat, then looked at my daughter, then back at her until he finally resumed loading the water in the trunk. Idk maybe I'm imagining things but it was definitely uncomfortable. We still go here but we bought extra bottles from Walmart so we don't have to go as often and we definitely stopped tipping. If it progresses we may have to use the self serve machines or shop elsewhere. read more

Convenient, cheap and good water. It's $1.75 for filling up my 5 gallon bottle, and the couple that runs the place usually cleans your bottles for you before filling them. There's also a vending machine outside for you to use should you not catch them open. The water taste is OK, still prefer the one I used to get in LA so I still try others from time to time; and I will update the review once I get the water tested too, as I've done to all my previous water stores :) read more

At first, I was really impressed by the service. He rinsed my bottles, filled them to the brim with Alkaline Water, wiped down the bottle from the outside, put them on a cart, asked if I needed help to load them in my car.
