I don't leave reviews often, but this spot deserves it. I work in the pool and spa industry, so water quality is something I deal with every single day. The quality of the water here is on another level. You can taste the difference immediately. What really sets this place apart though is Eliot and his dad. It's a small, family-owned business, and you can tell they genuinely care. Poor experience. Poorly trained, rude staff. The colonic water was cold, it shut off and stopped filling so I got rang the bell twice-no one came either time. I got dressed and went out into the hallway and no one was to be found. I yelled "hello," and the lady came out from the back and said she supposedly didn't hear the bell (why have one then if you can't hear it?!). This whole event took around 20 minutes. She said the colonic was filling again but didn't offer me the remaining time I had lost due to her "not hearing" the bell and she was rather rude. It was definitely a horrible customer service experience and left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I have been a customer for years. It looks like a family owned business. The shop is always clean and tidy and the owner, an older Korean gentleman, always greeted with delight and respect. And a number of times I would have a nice short conversations with the gentleman. But more and more on recent visits, I would see less and less of him and see more of his sons running the shop. They also have been kind and cordial to customers, recognizing some of the regulars and greeting them with their names. Last time I visited and filled my bottles and was about to walk up to the counter, one of the sons said "You're good!". Puzzled, I told him "oh wait, I haven't said my name yet." and he replied back with my name and said I'm good and told me how many credits I had left. I felt like a cool regular with his sons now! Today was a whole different story. I had filled my bottles as usual and walked up to the counter and the same young man who recognized me and knew my name at my last visit said "Hey I don't want you coming around here anymore. You threw money at me last time and left." ?? I assured him it wasn't me. I told him that I don't even bring money because I have prepaid account and assured him that it wasn't me. But he kept arguing that he was sure it was me. Really uncomfortable. I understand that while running a business, sometimes, you will have unruly and disrespectful customers. But making accusations of someone, without any certainty and provocation, and to continue to accuse them, well, just not great business or customer service. I will use up my remaining credits and start looking for another water store closer to home. They were really nice otherwise. Thus at least two stars. read more

We're no Flint, Michigan, but San Diego's tap water is about as undrinkable as it gets. I used to get chronic sore throats, and I'm fairly certain that drinking the filthy stuff from my faucet was the culprit. After lugging single gallons from the grocery store for a few months, we decided to try out Living Water, and it's been a wonderful experience hydrating our household ever since. We're saving money by buying in bulk, and we fill up the 5 gallon jugs way less frequently than when we were buying the singles. After you get the hang of the process, it's pretty easy to get in and out of there with your H20 in only a few minutes. They've got both filtered and the high PH stuff as options and the staff has always been friendly and informative. Overall I've been about twice as hydrated and feeling healthier ever since we switched, and that alone is worth some 5 star feedback in it's own right. read more

Today at around 5:55 In june 2019 My wife and I go in for 3 gallons. She like to just go outside and I said, " no lets go inside to use the self serve bottle cleaner! I actually like to use it as silly as it sounds. so, I see someone is busy cleaning the main bottle cleaner thing . So I go over to the other end and the thing and it doesn't work. So The guy at counter says, Oh you have to use the other one.". I go over there to where the guys is wiping it down and say' " Excuse me sir, I need to wash out my bottle, this is why we come here"! I was kind of being a little jokey and sarcastic but just trying to have a "good time" attitude. So the guy moves and says, " Do you think thats fucking funny?" I reply, "oh ok, you must be having a bad day". Then he physically attacks me and grabs me from behind by the throat and his co worker yells stop! stop! I think the fellow WAS having a bad day and maybe he thought I was trying to be a smart ass when I really like using the washing station. I don't know, but I could have called the police for assault and battery. But I will forgive. Just chill out dude. Most customer suck but they pay your bills. Have some fun man. read more

Believers tout it's ability to slow aging and cure infectious diseases including cancer by regulating the body's PH level. The FDA frowns heavily on these statements and naysayers claim that drinking it is the same as adding baking soda to your body. Stomach acid is what helps us digest food after all. To break the tie, I did a scientific test and offered alkaline water to my kitties. They have not been brainwashed, yet they began to drink much more water. Their verdict, Alkaline water is the good stuff. My inner hippie wants to drink water with no taste or color that makes me healthier, and Living water simply tastes better than any other water. I am a fan of great tasting water, and if it keeps me healthy count me in. Living water is a great place to buy both alkaline and purified water. They offer a complimentary bottle wash station and self serve dispensers. I prefer paying at the end versus putting a bunch of coins into a machine even if it costs a few pennies more than the alkaline vending machines available elsewhere. While Alkaline water may not be a cure for cancer it certainly delights my senses, and it keeps my kitties happy too. read more

I stopped here for water and bought a 3 gallon plastic BPA free container (basic screw on lid, no spout). After tax it was $18 and they didn't even give me free water with it. Whatever. I needed the jug. I realized within a few weeks of using it that the lid doesn't screw on tight. Thread issue, the thing leaks horribly. I called the store and the owner said to bring it in. I brought it in. He tried to tell me I was wrong, but I insisted it leaks and the top obviously wouldn't tighten. Then he ignored me for a while and was doing some weird stuff with other bottles... then finally after wasting my time slapped a $10 bill on the counter. So basically refused to give me a full refund. No apology, no offer to make it right another way, nothing. Terrible communication and attitude towards customers. You'd think the high prices would translate to good customer service but this experience was nasty. read more

This place is great! I recommend setting up a pre-paid account to get a little discount. It adds up! The workers are so friendly and helpful! They help me get all my containers set up and going, I have a few! They have containers, stands and lids for sale also. The price is good and the water is great! They also have a couple "kiosks" you can use for after hour fills. I believe that only accept cash, $1 and $5. (Much more convenient than hauling quarters to Carlsbad). read more

Don't use your credit card here. My first time in, I purchased a ceramic crock dispenser and six gallons of water and used my debit card. Three days later I was charged another $27.00 when I hadn't stepped foot into the store. I walked in and showed the woman and man behind the counter my bank statement on my phone and he denied that they had pulled the $27.00. I asked him how did the money get taken out of my account, because it was taken by their business, and he told me to take it up with the bank. I just did. 7 days till my new debit card comes and I have many bills that I pay online that are coming up due. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with bank and am completely frustrated. Oh yeah.......I returned the crock because it was leaking all over my counter. BEWARE. Don't trust them with your debit card. Fraud. read more

This is the 1st negative yelp review I've ever written and it is well deserved. Approx. three weeks ago we purchased a 3 gallon glass bottle with a plastic (silver painted) pull spout. When we got it home we noticed a chip in the glass. O.K., slightly annoyed for $49, I would expect it to be brand new. When the spout broke off days later with previous glue visible, I decided to bring it back wanting/willing to exchange it, and credit the $ for an upgraded water dispenser. All the bottled, pure "spring water" you get at the grocery store will taste weird and nasty compared to Living Water. After spending way too much on Brita filters that never actually seemed to filter the water, we were excited to discover this gem of a store just up the street. The water, as everyone says, tastes amazing. We are drinking so much more nowadays because of it. The 3 gallon jug you buy from the store fits perfectly in our fridge, so there's always perfectly chilled water at the push of a button - way easier than lugging the Brita filter in and out. My husband couldn't be bothered to do it so he would drink the nasty tap water and mix it in lemonade so he couldn't taste how bad it was. I know... A 3 gallon BPA free container at Living Water is $19 - cheaper than Amazon. I also love the pay ahead option and even more that it is organized on little index cards. I had been looking for a place to get good water in the area and I came across Living Water. The owner is very polite and gives great customer service. I bought a 3 gallon jug off him and he went and cleaned it up for me, filled it with water and wiped it down. He has a huge visible filter system for you to see with 7 different filters that water goes through. The water taste great. I had gone to Jimbo's and filled up with their water system but it doesn't compare to the quality at Living Water. There are plenty of water dispensers there for you to purchase depending on your needs. I ended up buying a porcelain dispenser with a stand from him to use in my office. It is important to get good quality water and it's very hard to trust tap and bottled water these days. I highly recommend Living Water to everyone. read more
