This has easily become my favorite spot to go to! It's very close to where I live, so when I can't make it to the beach, it's an amazing alternative. There's restrooms and a playground for kids. A decent amount of space for plenty of people to sit/layout and have fun. People do go inside the water to swim, but there's no lifeguards so swim at your own risk. There's a nice trail you can walk, plenty of restaurants near by. You can see the sunset here! It just an amazing, serene and calm place to relax. read more

I have been coming to this park since I was a kid. Back in the days when it was called J.C. beach. And I have always loved coming here. My kids now love the splash pad when its open in the summertime. There are a lot of public events that get booked there now. The restrooms are not always the best so use them at your own risk. I did grow up around this area so alligators and water mocasines are not a big deal to me. Just stay away from them and they try and do the same. You will be fine but again swim in the lake at your risk. We have been using the boat ramp more often now. Its pretty nice and maybe a little safer then the old one. I would recommend 100% if you like that kind of stuff. read more

My 1st time coming to this park. I went for the Caribbean Jerk Fest by the waterfront. I gave 4 stars because I didn't actually walk the grounds. I went for the festival so the focus was food, food, food drinks and music. The park itself looks nice and relaxing. One day I'll be back to check it out. The festival was nice though. Lots of food trucks and live Caribbean artists with reggae and soca. Was great! read more

Waterfront Park is an absolutely stunning park in Clermont, Florida that offered me a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the nine to five workflow grind. The view of the lake is simply amazing and the park as a whole has a great vibe to it. Communities need parks where the people can gather in respite and relaxation. A great park can bring a community together and I definitely seen it here at Waterfront Park. People walking, people sitting on the benches or lying in the grass. There was just a great sense of community here. I would definitely recommend Waterfront Park and if you are around the Clermont, Florida area, this is a fantastic park to head towards. It definitely has my recommendation and it definitely earned five stars in this review. Again, Waterfront Park is a great park. read more

I've lived in the area for 11 years now and this is our go-to park in South Lake. The park offers great views as you walk, run or bike along the trail. I believe the trail is about a mile, more or less. There are benches, including picnic benches to sit at, all along the trail. Near the splash pad, you will find 2 covered pavilions. One of them has a stage and it is used during the many community events here where they set up chairs and offer dancing, etc. The other one has several picnic tables. Along the trail, there are a couple playgrounds and bathrooms. Venture off the trail a couple short blocks and you will find plenty of dining and shopping options. A new restaurant from Tampa, The Salt Shack, is opening soon right on the trail. There is a white sandy beach that I personally haven't used but there are plenty of families that do. It never seems overcrowded, even though it is very popular. The scenic views, sunsets and sunrises are all amazing at various times of the year. Currently the city is working on remodeling the area near the pier and the main pier is closed. I believe they are going to put in an outdoor amphitheater, along with boat slips near the new restaurant that will be opening. I can't wait to see the improvements! read more

Waterfront Park is located along Lake Minneola. It has a white sandy beach, basketball court, playground, fishing pier, picnic areas, pavilion, bathrooms and much more. Lifeguards are not available but there is a park officer who walks around politely enforcing park rules. The parking lot is large and the park is beautifully maintained. Dogs are welcomed under the pavilion and not on the playground or beach area. read more

This park is amazing!!!! There is a basketball court, playground, walking/biking trails, and so much more all in front of a beautiful lake!! You can go for a nice dip but i just stayed on the dock which was the perfect spot to be while the sun set. Yes, the sun sets so beautifully here. read more

Loved this Waterfront Park. What a great idea, family fun for the kids. My grandson enjoyed the water park but he also had a blast enjoying all of the other amenities at the park. We swam at the lake, played on the swings and enjoyed the slides as well. This park has plenty of benches, both in the shade and in the sun to enjoy the scenery and to watch over the little ones. The park has a restroom nearby if the little ones need to use them or change into dry clothes. At the water park they do charge, only $2 but be aware I did not see any lifeguards on duty so keep an eye on your little ones while there. Overall it is a nice park and you will definitely enjoy yourself. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Clermont. It's unbelievably relaxing and on the weekdays it's super quiet. I know that they have Zumba under the pavilion in the evenings and a playground right on the beach area for the kids! There is plenty of parking and a few picnic tables and benches. It is also directly connected to the bike and walking trail! read more

Waterfront Park is located in Clermont right along beautiful Lake Minneola. The cool thing about the park is that it is right along an extension of the West Orange Trail. The beach has a nice base of sand, plus there are pavilions, a small amphitheater and a playground. There are lifeguard stands and occasionally swimming is allowed. Currently it is not allowed- I'm not sure why... Water quality? Lack of lifeguards? I'd imagine the water is clean because they frequently hold triathlons at this location. Minus one big star for the lack of free parking. The city requires a $2/vehicle fee to park here. You put your money in a drop box and put a ticket in your windshield- it is all based on the honor system. I have heard that the city is stepping up enforcement. With no swimming allowed the $2 fee isn't worth it. read more

There is a small amphitheater, rental facility and another space for festivals that are put on from time to time. I rarely see them in use, but they seem to be in good condition. read more

This is a beautiful park on a large lake. The views are lovely at any point along the sidewalk or grass. It's great for a run or stroll. There are a few playground areas for kids to enjoy. There area also beach-like areas with sand that meet the lake. There's a little dock/pier that you can walk out on the water. It's in a residential area so it's very quiet. There's ample parking. Took my family here while visiting with family in Clermont. Or purpose for going was to have the kids run around in the splash pad. The splash pad has a variety of gentle elements that made it fun and appropriate for my two year old and infant. My four, six, and eight year-old also had a great time at the lake. My husband said the water was the perfect temperature and the incline of the lake bottom was gradual and not too steep. I didn't go in because I was weirded out by the Amber-colored water. The beach was not crowded and the facilities were adequate. Overall we had a good time for very cheap! read more

So glad we discovered this park while visiting my girlfriend's family who lives in Clermont. The path seems quite long- we only walked a bit of it. It is wide and had a variety of users- longboarders, bicycle riders, dog walkers, joggers, etc. There is a swimming area in the lake and a decent beach. It was really enjoyable to walk along the path on a beautiful day and enjoy the view of the water and the other people out and about. read more

Hi- Thought i would weigh in on the Waterfront Park in downtown Clermont off 3rd street. My house overlooks the trail and park. Back in the 1990's it was free to park and swim there. And the trail was actually a road (called Lake Minneola Drive) that connected with East Ave. and went around the lake. Several people drown in the lake (there are underground caves) and the City stopped allowing visitors to swim there. Though oddly (because it involves swimming) they still occasionally host the "Great Ironman Triathlon." Only four stars because things to do down there are limited. Since kids are older not down there for a few years... Last I remember the children's playground and basketball court was dated. It could be so much better. Though IMHO paying $2 (is nominal) to go In-line skating and bicycle riding which are truly awesome due to the views and length of the trail. The wakeboard camp practices/ed on the lake. The Cafe (catty cornered from waterfront) is great for sunset watching, a fish sandwich a tea or beer. Every March or April they have the Pig on the Pond event which is a BBQ cook-off and semi-carnival. The pavilion is great for an impromptu picnic (and super great if a sun shower comes along). My wife took her dying mother there often for the views and a breath of fresh air. Like I said the parking charge is nominal and goes to the City of Clermont, maybe that's why no new super improvements, (except amphitheater). We were so disheartened once after seeing the park benches and restroom vandalized, when places to enjoy are so limited, why trash it? Another nice park around is at Lake Louisa. My silly wife actually pays it forward sometimes so someone else can enjoy it, as we live there. Hope that satisfies your curiosity about that park. This world needs more parks!! read more

This review is coming from someone who is new to the Orlando area and NOT from Clermont. With that being said, this park is a major waste of time and not worth the traveling distance if you are not from the area. The trail only seemed to follow the lake for about a mile.. then began to loop away. I may be completely wrong because I just decided to turn around once the pathway went Away from the lake. The "beach" area is extremely tiny. The views are "decent". 3 stars because maybe this is the best option in Clermont, but I would not know. read more

I have loved going to Waterfront Park for many years. This is such a lovely part of Clermont. The walking trail is a favorite of mine. A few more trees for shade along the stretch from the longest pier to the beach/bathroom area would be welcome. read more

This park is my happy place. It has a few lake beaches, gorgeous views, and a nice walking/biking path. When I walk on the path alone I feel completely safe and appreciate how there are plenty of friendly faces around. I don't have kids but there is a mini water park area and playgrounds so if I did I would bring them here. There are also plenty of benches and picnic tables for those who want to make a day of it, and the park seems to have regular activities for people to join. I've seen sunset dance classes, bike races, triathlons, an ampitheater, a WWII museum, and lots more. I recommend watching the sun set - between the Spanish moss and palm trees you're in for some beautiful views. read more
