The ride the night before saw several alligators but we weren't as lucky?? The boat is a pontoon boat - flat on the bottom and has a covering for shade. Easy to get on/off. Great for all ages. Your tour incudes a drink - beer, soda or water. An hour is the perfect amont of time. Do listen to the guidance to bring a light jacket and bug spray - we didn't really need because there was a nice warm breeze but I can see how both could have been a necessity.
