I came here because I heard about the pumpkin ride. The ride is a short maybe 5 minute ride through the back of the nursery building. They take you to a small area that has goats and chicken. This is ideally for little kids. There is not much to do or see, but it's cute. The maze is short so that the kids can enjoy. They let us take home a little pumpkin. When we got back to the main nursery area they also provided a tiny cup of apple cider. With so many other big farms in the area I don't think I'll be returning for any fall activities here.

Mulch madness! Thank…read moreyou very mulch! How mulch is too mulch? Ok. Groan. Corny lead in. I know. Meanwhile -- RVH has the goods to back up its name. Every kind of mulch you ever dreamed of owning. Along with topsoil, stone and all sorts of other landscaping ingredients for the savvy homeowner -- at delivered prices that beat the pants off the bagged stuff you buy at Home Depot or your local nursery. Depending on variety, pricing ranges between $18 to the high $30's per yard, plus an up charge for delivery. Mine was $35 for a 4 yard load. Really knowledgeable folks and if you like getting your hands into the soil like I do -- you will find that the product is really first rate. They process off site and will explain the grades and where the raw materials are from. Just ask. Top Tip: The dirt road in and out of this place is alongside Boston Market. It is unmarked and steep and easy to miss. You are buying a rustic product here so it stands to reason that access to it should be equally so. For those less adventurous -- RVH will take your order by telephone -- and their website is very informative on quality and pricing. See: http://rvhmulchsupply.com

I cannot say enough good things about this place!…read more We came here last year for our veggie plants, every single one did amazing and I was so happy but that's not even why I felt the need to review them... So recently I had the joy of apparently getting a few caterpillars on my dill plants . I love nature and wasn't upset that they ate everything , I actually wanted to buy more just for them and I stopped back here. The gentlemen I dealt with said there was no more dill plants. So I said that I was so sad because they weren't for me. He immediately said, " do you have caterpillars "? And I said yes. He then took out his phone and started to show me pictures of my exact new little friends and of what they were going to turn into! He explained that they had a bunch and he wanted to help! He then took me over to the parsley plants and told me that's what they love the most . He gave them to me for virtually nothing just about and then started to show me where the eggs were on them! I took them home planted them and guess what ? Wishing two days I now have about 15 caterpillars!! Amazing! I will certainly be an even better customer now ' it's nice to see a business that actually cares for nature.

This place has so much to offer at anytime during the year. They have some artificial plants and other decor items in the store which is a lil expensive but amazing! I picked up two dozen long-stem red roses for Valentine's Day for my wife and spent nearly $200. In less than two days, the roses began to wilt. For flowers at this price point, that is completely unacceptable. I called and spoke with a manager to address the issue and was told that I would need to bring the flowers back to the store myself in order to have them swapped out. When I explained that this exact situation has happened before--and that on a previous occasion the store delivered replacement flowers and picked up the old ones--I was bluntly told there was "no way" to do that. So not only am I stuck with roses that likely won't last a week, but I was also offered no flexibility, no accountability, and no real customer service. The response felt dismissive and indifferent, especially considering the amount of money spent and the occasion. I've shopped here in the past for houseplants, outdoor plants, and flowers, but this experience has completely changed my view of this business. Based on the quality and how this was handled, I now understand why this location has a 3-star rating. I will not be shopping here again.
