A good value meal in the Gold Coast Theme Park precinct. I would return.
On a fine day I recommend getting a table outside where the decor provides a truely relaxing atmosphere when coupled with the water features, Palm Tree greenery and a harmonising boy band which were singing some classics when I was there.
On our Sunday lunch time visit the venue appeared to be a family orientated food and beverage oasis in the Gold Coast theme park precinct. However, I believe the venue tailors to a broader market with Ladies and Gents events scheduled on a regular basis to attract different local crowds.
The lunchtime menu had an extensive range of dishes to satisfy most people's tastes, steaks, seafood, salads, pasta, risottos, chicken parma and daily specials such as the Sunday bucket of prawns and beer which was very tempting but I passed on this occasion. Orders are taken at the counter and bar. There is no table service. Cutlery and napkins are also obtained at a station in the middle of the establishment. Unfortunately the station was left un-stocked with napkins and menus for an extended period of time which was the only negative aspect of the experience.
Lunch came out quickly and was a simple Chorizo and Prawn Risotto in a tomato base with a hint of chilli. It was certainly a tasty dish of generous proportioning with a liberal amount of prawns giving a real sense of value and exceeding my expectations ten fold. It was delicious.
My wife enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and ribs which she devoured between nibbling on the crunchy potato chips. I note the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. read more
