We got four…read morequotes for turf and paver work and chose Gorilla Turf and Hardscape because we really liked our rep, Brian -- they weren't the cheapest or most expensive, but the service felt right. That said, the actual installation had some issues. We were told the project would take 3 days; it ended up taking 8. The crew usually didn't get started before 9:30 AM and always left before 5, and toward the end it felt like they were rushing to finish. One paver corner wasn't cut properly. In fact, it wasn't cut at all -- instead they just laid pavers around it and left a gap in another area where a paver was missing entirely. I had to call and get them to send someone back out to fix it, which they did, but it meant the project wasn't truly complete for about 3 weeks instead of the promised 3 days. The turf has similar issues. During the installation, I flagged visible seams and was told by the installation crew that they'd blend in once the infill went down and it was brushed out. They didn't blend in at all. I raised the seam issue again with Brian and showed him, but he said they'd look better after about a month. They don't -- if anything they're more noticeable now, and one seam is visibly crooked (see pictures). At one seam, the ground itself appears to be uneven, with one side noticeably higher than the other (see pictures). At this point I honestly don't know what to think or do about them -- whether they're something the company should still fix, or something I just have to live with. On top of that, cleanup was a problem. The crew left rocks scattered across part of our front lawn and out in the street. We ended up cleaning up the street ourselves, and Brian personally came out to clean the rocks off the grass. They also broke a sprinkler in the front yard, which they did come back and replace -- but at that point it was just one more thing added to an already frustrating process. The pavers look good now that the one corner is fixed, and Brian was great to work with throughout -- he clearly cared and tried to make things right. But the installation crew's pace, attention to detail, and cleanup fell short, and I shouldn't have had to chase down so many fixes that should've been handled correctly the first time. Although we will get a quote from them for more pavers, this experience is weighing heavily on whether we go with them again.

BUYER BEWARE. This company is not what it appears to be. I…read moream quite certain that it is actually a company that publicly ONLY advertises and markets services. It actually does NONE of the work. The work is done, as far as I can tell, COMPLETELY by subcontractors. My initial experience was with Rich, a very friendly and smooth talking sales person who represented himself as an owner of Eco Turf/ Pavers - Hardscape. He referred to his crews and foremen. Only later did I learn that they were actually crews from companies that were subcontracted out. I never received a formal written estimate from the Eco Turf/ Pavers - Hardscape, or even a final written receipt upon payment. OK, that's for the highly deceptive side of the business. The job I hired them for was hardscape and concrete stain and sealing. It took three months to complete about four days of actual work. Every time Rich gave me a start time for "his men", something ultimately pushed it back another week or so. It's obvious now why, it wasn't even his company doing the work. In fact, I think I physically saw Rich a total of two or three times including the initial meeting. Material orders were not placed timely, when items were back ordered from one supplier, there was no attempt to locate the materials elsewhere. Coordination was haphazard and details were constantly slipping through the cracks. Thinking that Rich from Eco Turf/ Pavers - Hardscape- was the company actually doing the work, all I kept getting were excuses and more bullshit. After three months of total frustration, I was told that I could make my actual payment to the company that was finishing the work that day, as a convenience to me! Beyond my dissatisfaction with the job was the fact that I had been experiencing such highly misleading and deceptive communication xfrom the beginning. Not only does this company NOT deserve a solid review, it doesn't deserve the public trust. Look elsewhere.

Sam (co-owner) scheduled a visit to see my yard, and consult with me on options and suggestions on everything from what turf he suggested, to what direction to lay the turf to optimize the viewing angles, to taking questions from me on what kind of base and equipment he would use and the warranty on the work (5 years). Requested a spec sheet of the turfs to pick from and ran the one I liked through AI to see how good it was and it came back better graded than the ones offered by other installers I was talking to. 2. Quoting happened right afterwards and the price came in competitive so I signed. Scheduling of the work was swift and I was able to get on their docket within 1-2 weeks. 3. Day of - guys came on-time and got to work immediately. They demoed it all within a short 30-45 mins. Then waited for the turf to get delivered and spent a good hour treating the turf and preparing it to be laid down. Then the base materials came and crushed it as I had expected with a plate compactor.
