I submitted a request through Yelp Projects, and several companies responded. I LOVE this feature! The first company I contacted through Facebook Marketplace quoted me $1,270! I told them I wasn't about to let them bust me up and leave me leaking! After scheduling a few appointments through Yelp, C&L came out at 1:30 p.m. and sent Damien. He assessed the situation, gave me a fair price, and I accepted on the spot. I canceled my other appointments because I knew I had found the right person. Let me tell you, this young man has SKILLS! I watched him work, and this guy is a PRO! He got everything squared away faster than he originally estimated, used less equipment than expected, AND still had time to fine-tune my sprinklers. What a difference. Chris had great communication from the beginning, was reliable, knowledgeable, and his pricing was extremely fair. Fortunately, he was already working in the area and was able to get to us very quickly. What started as one irrigation problem turned into finding two separate underground line leaks. Chris repaired both leaks, cleaned out four sprinkler heads, dug out several others that had become buried, replaced three nozzles, and made sure everything was working properly before he left. What impressed me most was that he went above and beyond the original repair instead of just fixing the obvious problem and leaving. Great communication, great work, and very fair pricing. Yelp connected me with this contractor to repair my irrigation system that had been damaged by a…read morepool installation. The first company quoted $2100 to re-do the system. Mikey came out and said that wasn't necessary, that he would charge $150/hr and could fix it in a couple of hours...6 days (most of which he showed up in the evening and staid until late into the night) and $3,450.00 later, this is what he left me with. He said he would come back and fix it, but after seeing the entirety of what he did, I don't want him back on my property to do more damage and leave more mess. The system not only looks crudely constructed, it doesn't work at all. I had the company installing my sod send their irrigation guy out to assess what would be needed to repair it properly, and yep, the whole job needs to be ripped out and re-done. I requested a full refund of what I paid as I now have to pay again for the labor and parts, but Mikey is unwilling to do that. I am asking Yelp to honor their $2,500 guarantee and will be filing suit in small claims court for the remaining $950. I can't reply to your reply, Michael, but as you are the 'contractor' and the person that did this work, you know that you have been telling me you would be out since July 27th, the day after you finished the work. It is not my job to tell you to come clean up the job site and fix the shoddy job, though I've been requesting such since August 12th.
