Good: Friendly, Quality Work Bad: No website…read moreOverall: Would recommend I was in my front yard attempting to remove grass from my flower bed to meet the requirements of my HOA when I saw 2 guys mowing and edging the house across the street. I walked over to ask how much it would cost to have them mow my yard. I was told that he would need to see the yard to provide an estimate. I walked him through and he told me $30/weekly or $40/bi-weekly. The price is approximately what I expect given other prices I've seen. I was told that for $30/weekly he would mow, edge, fertilize, and provide pest control. I've come to despise working in the yard during Texas summers, so I decided to take him up on his weekly offer. I am typically skeptical of paying someone for a service I can do myself. It seems lazy and a waste of money. However, I left to run an errand and when I returned I was impressed by the quality of his work. I don't have the patience or knowledge to make my yard look as impressive as it did when he was done. The only drawback I could identify is that there is no website or email address. It seems that these 2 gentlemen are running a small business where they advertise with a business card. While this limits the form of communication, I sent a text to thank them for their work and to ask about the bushes. It did not appear that the bushes were trimmed, so I asked if it is possible they forgot and to just ask if he could address it next week if he did forget. He replied promptly. If you are interested in lawn service, I would recommend Tony and his partner. Since the barrier to entry is low, there are likely many service providers. I cannot speak to the quality of work by others, but I can tell you that I was impressed with Tony's work.

Rogelio and his team are highly skilled and knowledgeable landscapers. They will consult with you…read moreand provide guidance on plants to use that are low maintenance as well as seasonal. They work fast and are very professional. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately, my experience with RC Landscaping was deeply disappointing…read more I initially hired them to help with a landscaping project. The contractor came out, marked up my lawn, sprayed grass killer, and began preparing the area. Shortly afterward, another contractor happened to stop by and offered a quote. Out of fairness, I wanted to validate pricing not to haggle, just to understand. Instead of having a professional conversation, RC Landscaping took offense and walked off the job entirely. What's worse is that he had already sprayed my yard, leaving me with dead, unsightly grass and no plan to repair or finish the work. Now I'm left scrambling to fix damage I didn't ask for just because I wanted to make an informed decision. The photo attached shows the current state of my lawn. It's clear, marked, and dead. This wasn't how I expected the relationship to end. If you're considering RC Landscaping, beware: if you seek clarity on price, they might just leave you mid-project. RESPONSE : I initially contacted RC Landscaping to help design flower beds for my front yard. We discussed expectations, and he even came out to mark the yard and spray it to prep for install. While I hadn't delivered the materials yet, I was planning to, and we had a start date set. Things changed when I asked a simple question about pricing. Another contractor had stopped by with a lower estimate, and I wanted to understand the difference--especially since only one bed was multi-layered and the rest were basic. I wasn't trying to cancel the job; just asking for clarity. Instead of a conversation, the contractor called off the job entirely, citing a lack of trust. I was left with patches of dead grass and no work done. I also asked to keep the drawing for reference (since I now have to start over), but was told no. The owner claims I was difficult or indecisive--but I have screenshots that show I was respectful and collaborative throughout. I never changed the job scope drastically--I asked thoughtful questions as part of normal planning. In the end, I can't recommend this business based on how the situation was handled. A simple follow-up led to the project being abandoned, and now I'm left cleaning up and restarting. Attaching screenshots from our actual conversation to provide context. I believe they show I was clear, respectful, and simply trying to understand pricing and next steps.
