I stayed in the Zzz room for a night. The hosts, Paul and Bette, are wonderful. Their two cats are very cute as well. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable---I had a great night's sleep. The outside is very picturesque--the porch has a fantastic view of trees and flowers (in the spring). The breakfast, prepared by Paul, was plentiful and fantastic. Paul served rye bread and scone baked by him. The house is more than 300 years old and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The stay was very reasonably priced. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly stay there if I go back that way.

We enjoyed the whimsical and antique decor as well as the handmade quilts--most of which were stiched by Bette herself--which added to the cozy atmosphere. Breakfast consisted of a delightful mix of fruits drizzled with cream and accented by fresh mint leaves, French toast, caramelized bananas and traditional scones. All the rooms are extra spacious. There is actually enough bedding for 9 people. We had a whole house to ourselves! Plenty of parking! All rooms, including bedding, sofas and bathrooms were super clean. The home smelled great when we walked in and there were fresh muffins waiting for us. The contemporary deco was fun while still providing a home away from home feel. The owners have a restaurant named Memo's across the street. We had a fabulous breakfast at Memo's at very reasonable prices. I had mentioned to the owner Christine that it had been my son's birthday the night while we were checking in. The next morning while we had breakfast at Memo's without being asked the owner and restaurant staff surprised my son with a chocolate muffin and candle and a birthday song. It was nice of her to remember and It made the start of his birthday getaway weekend very special. Christine was super attentive to our needs and answered any questions we had as 1st timers there. Lily's Lodge was just 10 minutes from 6 Flags and is right across the street from the annual Big E entrance. While staying at Lily's Lodge it felt like were were truly away yet still had very easy access to the main road which makes it convenient for quick trips to grab last minute items you may have forgotten to pack or just to do some shopping. The YARD is amazing and a beautiful space for you and your pup to run around freely. Also the location is so convenient with shops just down the road as well as the beach. We were there in "off peak" season but had pretty great weather. Cam and Victor's breakfasts are also sooo delicious (the biscuits!!!). The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! We slept so well on both nights and woke up to wholesome and delicious country breakfasts each morning. It is the perfect stay for a weekend getaway. If we were to visit the Long Island wine region again, we will definitely return to the Guest House.
