I stayed in the Zzz room for a night. The hosts, Paul and Bette, are wonderful. Their two cats are very cute as well. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable---I had a great night's sleep. The outside is very picturesque--the porch has a fantastic view of trees and flowers (in the spring). The breakfast, prepared by Paul, was plentiful and fantastic. Paul served rye bread and scone baked by him. The house is more than 300 years old and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The stay was very reasonably priced. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly stay there if I go back that way.

We enjoyed the whimsical and antique decor as well as the handmade quilts--most of which were stiched by Bette herself--which added to the cozy atmosphere. Breakfast consisted of a delightful mix of fruits drizzled with cream and accented by fresh mint leaves, French toast, caramelized bananas and traditional scones. All the rooms are extra spacious. There is actually enough bedding for 9 people. We had a whole house to ourselves! Plenty of parking! All rooms, including bedding, sofas and bathrooms were super clean. The home smelled great when we walked in and there were fresh muffins waiting for us. The contemporary deco was fun while still providing a home away from home feel. The owners have a restaurant named Memo's across the street. We had a fabulous breakfast at Memo's at very reasonable prices. I had mentioned to the owner Christine that it had been my son's birthday the night while we were checking in. The next morning while we had breakfast at Memo's without being asked the owner and restaurant staff surprised my son with a chocolate muffin and candle and a birthday song. It was nice of her to remember and It made the start of his birthday getaway weekend very special. Christine was super attentive to our needs and answered any questions we had as 1st timers there. Lily's Lodge was just 10 minutes from 6 Flags and is right across the street from the annual Big E entrance. While staying at Lily's Lodge it felt like were were truly away yet still had very easy access to the main road which makes it convenient for quick trips to grab last minute items you may have forgotten to pack or just to do some shopping. November 2022 - COVID Review:…read more I had the opportunity to attend a 4-day, 3-night retreat at Guest House and the staff were absolutely great from even before I stepped foot in Connecticut! It's located in the cute small town of Chester, which is a good activity to do if you happen to have some free time during your visit. The Guest House also has an airbnb on site and although there may be other retreats/groups occurring during your stay, it doesn't feel overcrowded and everyone has their own designated meeting areas. Meal times were also handled well where we didn't overlap too much. I appreciated that they posted the food menus every day by the dining room so that you know what to anticipate. Water and tea are available around the clock, but if you have some late night munchies, you would need to pack and bring your own snacks with you. My main complaint was that the building is a little older so the rooms are a little outdated and the walls are quite thin. Overall, it was a good stay and I would visit again if I had the opportunity.

We chose 434 On Main for its location, just 1/2 mile from The Talkhouse. It exceeded our expectations greatly. Cam and Victor were wonderful hosts and I even liked Molly, their Standard Poodle. This is saying a lot because I am afraid of dogs. Molly though, was calm and quiet, everything I hope for in a dog. The rooms were beautiful (We had the Beach Suite, 2 rooms, plus a shared bath, with a Queen Bed in one and a very comfortable fold out sofa in the other) and the daily breakfast was wonderful, including juice, fruit, pastry and an entree with breakfast meat. I told Victor that I only eat eggs when they are in cake, and he and Cam accommodated my preferences. Some other guests, at their request, received vegan breakfasts. Have I described the bathroom? It contained a freestanding bathtub plus a walk-in shower that measured at least 5'x5'. You could use the shower either wall mounted or hand held. It was superior to any shower I have ever owned. We were able to walk safely to and from town, even at 10pm. Walking to the show, we were happy to meet Rufus and his family in front of the venue and spent 2-3 minutes chatting with them. The concert was great. I would be happy to return to Amagansett and to 434 On Main.

The enclosed backyard is a nice perk, my little guy loved running around & sniffing everything. The owners have an elderly dog, Molly, who is an absolute sweetheart - Very welcoming to us newcomers invading her space. We will absolutely come back! The cottage was adorable, the bed was so comfortable, the sheets were crisp and clean and smelled amazing. Looks newly updated. I came in late from festivities and found that they had come in to put the heater on to take the chill out for me. I was there for a very short time, but HIGHLY recommend.

Every single person raved about how well kept the property was, how welcoming the house was, and how adorable the cabins were. The house and the cabins were spotless !! The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! We slept so well on both nights and woke up to wholesome and delicious country breakfasts each morning. It is the perfect stay for a weekend getaway. If we were to visit the Long Island wine region again, we will definitely return to the Guest House.
