I had yet to visit Water 2 Wine, but by the time we left, I had signed up for a membership. We stopped in to buy a bottle and the employee allowed us to try several samples to decide which bottle we wanted to purchase. There were a few wines I tried that I really enjoyed. The membership was a great deal because between $40-60 a month, you get two bottles and two glasses of wine per month with other perks. I figured if I was going to buy bottles anyway I might as well be a member. Looking forward to going back and trying more. read more

Great wine! Very nice and friendly staff. My friend and I got the flight so we can try different wines and then she bought a glass of the wine that was her favorite. I opted to get another flight so I can try even more wine lol The atmosphere was great. We sat on some couches so it was very comfortable. I like that the music was low so we can have a conversation and not have to scream over any music. It was Saturday night and not completely packed, but there were a lot of people. The place is pretty small and they have very few options for something to eat and we ended up getting the brie which was awesome and the charcuterie board. Also, I was surprised they close at 10 PM on a Saturday night but Allie was super sweet and let us stay until we finished our drinks and food. I think we stayed until about 10:30. Now the wine was amazing, food was great. Unfortunately for me, service is everything, it makes or breaks my experience. As soon as my sister and I walked in, (two hispanic Gen Z girlies) we didn't get greeted. We waited around the bar while a couple of people were ordering/being served looking for signs or menus, things of the like. As it was our first time visiting- we didn't know how it worked. After some more people walked in behind us, they all got greeted. Ordering was boring. No general conversation, quiet as mouse, felt like she did not want to be serving us, didn't want to be there in general. She gave me hated-her-job vibes. At LEAST she brought our charcuterie outside to us. At the end, we had three empty plates. And as we are not the type to leave them at the table along with our trash if the place is not a traditional restaurant, we decided to bring them inside for them. Still busy taking orders and serving, a couple walked away from an older man who had closed them out. With no one else waiting in line, he actively looked at us both, empty plates in our hands, smiled, waved, and walked away from behind the bar. Waited longer, then our original server decided to multitask and tell us where to set down the dishes while she poured wine. We closed out and left. As great as the wine and food were, service is the leading factor as to why I will not return. If you meet the desired customer demographics, I'm sure you will have an amazing time here with no complaints. read more

Unfortunately we came on a Sunday night when they had live music and it was so loud we were unable to talk to the person next to us-- we could barely hear ourselves think. We asked the staff to turn down the volume and they said the musician comes weekly and always plays that loud. It really is unfortunate-- the musician sang so beautifully but because of the volume we couldn't enjoy it. I wish we had left earlier like the rest of the patrons there-- we stuck it out for about a half hour and my ears are still ringing. Prior to the music starting we would have given 5 stars-- delicious and affordable flights, comfy chairs, cute atmosphere, tasty charcuterie. A perfect little wine bar. read more

First time visiting Water 2 Wine It was such a nice day to relax outside with a glass of wine. The outdoor space was casual with tables, string lights, and heaters. I did the Valentine's Day special - Rose flight with chocolates. I really like Rose but unfortunately the choices were way too sweet for my liking. And the chocolate ms were just Dove hearts with 1 chocolate covered strawberry. For the price, the quality was lacking - especially since I said I prefer dry wines and do not like really sweet ones. I honestly would have preferred going next door for the Dos Olivos Wine-A-Righta flight for $10. Luckily the red wine flight had better options and we both found some great options. The pita and hummus were really good but the portion was very small for the price. We opted not to get a charcuterie board when ordering more wine because the food quality or quantity seemed to be hit or miss. I would definitely like to go back with friends but I would not go there hungry next time. Overall, a cutie little wine bar you should try if shopping at the Mercantile or looking for casual outdoor seating options. read more

I came here for a wine tasting with my sisters over the weekend. The staff was friendly, conversational, funny, and engaging. The wine was delicious and the charcuterie board was nice about $25. I love this place! My friend and I decided to stop here on our way back to Austin after a long day of being in the sun and swimming at blue hole in Wimberley. We were a bit skeptical because of its limited reviews on yelp but I'm so glad we went and tried it out. Their wine is great, their flights are customized to your individual pallet, and their charcuterie board is to die for. If you go during the summer be sure to try their peach/apricot wine. I thought it would be way too sweet for my liking but it was a great refreshing summer drink!
