After visiting Oki sushi I can easily say that was the best sushi experience I have had in…read moreCopenhagen so far. Me and my girlfriend went the for the "All you can eat" option which includes all varieties of sushi, small starters and lots of skewers and noodles etc. We got a card and a pen and we had to look into the menu and write down which things we wanted (up to 10 pieces per person each time- if you order let's say Uramaki the roll of sushi consists of 4 pieces= you have 6 pieces left to order). Each time they bring you the food you get a new card in case you want to eat more. The max 10 pieces per order is a good way of avoiding food waste and I totally respect this place for doing it. Let's say a little about the food now. We tried many many different kinds of sushi from Futomaki, to Nigiri, Uramaki and Special Maki (managed to fill out the card three times) and all were super delicious. My favourite roll is the Hawaii roll! Yummi! We also order some of the warm options like tempura onion rings, spring rolls, chicken skewers and noodles. The onion rings were amazing- they have a super crunchy texture because of the panko which is the Japanese bread crumb. Every single things we ordered was beautifully places and the plate and the warm things put in lovely small plates or bowls. The staff was very friendly and happy to help with any questions. I can only say good things about this place. Will be back FOR SURE.

This cute little place offers Japanese street food, snacks and more for very good prices…read more I opted for an Okonomiyaki, which is basically a hybrid between a pancake and an omelet and the word means "what you liked, grilled". Cannot be better than that. They have three different flavors: chicken, bacon and tofu and they are all for 50 DKK. Menu also includes a variety of side dishes such as Chicken Nanban for 35 DKK, chicken wings, many yakitoris, miso soup and more. Everything was fresh and nice, I just would want the fried chicken to be a bit more juicy next time. Decor is adorable and simple, service is kind (and speaks English) which makes this a really great place to have lunch

Good and cheap place in Copenhagen? Yes, please…read more Japanese Kuma serves good Japanese "snacks" such as Okonomiyaki (a mixed between pancake and omelette with toppings on top), sweet potato, spinach salad, kimchi, miso soup and sticks. It's good that more and more Japanese places like this show up in town, so people know that Japanese food isn't all about sushi and sashimi. The portion is small, but the price is small too, or if you're ravenous like me, you could get the menu instead and have a couple of dishes together. I had menu 1 which consists of okonomiyaki, two sticks (pork belly and mushroom), rice and kimchi (which I exchanged to korokke (Japanese deep fried potato balls) and I got miso soup as extra (do me a favour and order the heavenly miso soup) while my eating mate Anders A got the Menu 3 with more items. You can also get the Japanese beer Hitachino here along with classic items such as coffee and tea (Japanese green tea, obviously). I can't recommend this place enough, go here! A little warning: The place is small and they don't take reservations, but by all means, drop by if you have time and the hunger!

There are other places in Copenhagen where you can get more or better sushi…read more As you enter the place, it will look like a standard restaurant, the only hint to its specialty being chopsticks on the table. I was taken to my table and server by some extremely nice and friendly staff, who were also kind enough to explain what the menu contained and, when they brought stuff over, to explain each of the items. However, it is the quality and quantity of the sushi that makes this a sub-par place compared to others similar ones in Copanhangen. The sushi combinations weren't 5 star, the only somewhat interesting innovation being the cream cheese version (still, odd choice for shushi). The rice should have been stickier and the drink portions were laughably small (for the price). The presentation was ok (see photo), and despite the friendly waiter, it wasn't enough to make me want to revisit this place.

Visited the restaurant yesterday and was received with a warm welcome…read more The location is excellent right next to a metro station, pretty straightforward. The place is cozy and intimate totally preferable for long converssations with Japanese drinks. Food was interesting and I would say a fascinating take on sushi. Either way it tasted great I especially fancy the ones with scallops. On a last note, waiter was excellent I was treated by David. Because of his enthusiasm and service I would love to visit the restaurant again. Big thumbs up!
