But if you have one of those items that have been deemed necessary for recycling, this place will take care of it properly for you for only $20 per item. I recently tried taking my old, defective large screen to a Best Buy, but was told it was too large for them. No explanation other than that. So, after trying to contact several other waste management/recyclers in the metro area and not getting any return phone calls, I found this place on Indy's east side that opened at 9 a.m. on Monday. I called ahead to make sure they were open and that the large screen wasn't too large. They said to come on over. When I got there, I went inside and paid my $20 fee and went to the dock they said to use. We pulled our vehicle up to the dock and one of their workers hopped down and unloaded the large television by himself and carried it to the dock for us. No sweat or effort needed by me. They even disposed of an old dvd player for free! Note that this place isn't the easiest to spot. If you are familiar with the east side, there is a large lake for a business that was called "Just Add Water" that used to have a lighthouse and let you try out different small boats before purchase. It is easily visible from I-465 just south of Washington Street. Franklin is the first street east of 465 on Washington. Just drive south 3 blocks on Franklin and when you see the lake on your west side of the road, look over to the east side. The sign out by the street says "Tradition Warehouse & Logistics". Pull into the parking lot on the south side of the building and head east. You will see some loading docks and a sign that is with a "TR" and Technology Recyclers. That is the office where you climb a few stairs and tell them what you want to have recycled. Once you pay, they tell you which dock to go to and send one of their gentlemen to unload your equipment. We just had the television, so we paid $20. Any additional tv's, laptops, or monitors would also be charged the same disposal rate. I am not sure if they have any restrictions on electronics or not and how much lead time you need to give when ordering pickup, but if those run as smoothly as the drop off, they might earn that 5th star! To make a short story long, I was moving into my new house and the previous owners left a flat…read morescreen tv. I know that you are thinking, SCORE.....but no, the television did not work and I was stuck with disposing of it. You can not just throw a flat screen television away and most places charge $20 to $40 to dispose of them., but not this place. It was free. It was a bit difficult to find based off of the directions. Once I was able to find the drop off location, it was easy peasy. It was clearly marked, easy to pull into and the worker on duty unloaded the television from my truck. I did not have to lift a finger. Less than 2 minutes I was on my way. Very convenient and they accept washers/dryers, batteries, cell phones, monitors, computers, scanners, microwaves, scrap metal, dvd players and much more. It is nice because disposing of some of the stuff, such as batteries, is illegal and this give you a legal environmentally safe option to dispose of such items.

I barely pulled up to the curb when the two employees immediately came out to assist me. When all was said and done, they unloaded all of my boxes and loaded the material into bins. I then sat and watched them shred all my stuff. There is a huge mirror behind/above them, so you can make sure there's no funny business going on. It took them 45 minutes to destroy all my stuff, due to the high volume. They methodically and efficiently took care of business. I don't know their names, but the name "Damon" was on my receipt. We just held our daughter's wedding and had paid a small fortune for luxury, air conditioned…read morerestrooms from a "national vendor". When the unit arrived, it was NOT what we had ordered (fewer stalls) and the AC didn't work. We had no idea what to do. Our venue contacted Bestway and they were able to quickly clean a portable restroom trailer that hadn't been used because of Covid for almost two years. It was air conditioned, it had more stalls than the unit we had originally ordered, and even came fully stocked with toilet paper and towels. Oh, at at less than HALF the cost of the original unit that was ordered. To be fair, it was not a plush as the original unit we had ordered, but there were no lines at the restroom all evening, and the AC was much appreciated by guests. Because these restrooms book up early, I am not sure what we'd have done if Bestway hadn't come through. In our case, they were VERY customer focused and I would give them my highest recommendation based on my limited personal experience.

This company has literally the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. We are in the…read moreprocess of moving to a new home with city trash pick up so I called to cancel service when my billing cycle ends which will be on the 26th of this month. They scheduled it for that date and told me it would be picked up a few days after that pick up. I got home today on the 5th to find that my trash can had already been picked up. When I told the customer service representative that it had been picked up, she said "I seriously doubt that" even though it had indeed been picked up and she could see that my account was still marked active. No discount in service was offered because they are allegedly going to have a trash can returned before my next pick up date. They argue that you are not missing service as long as they pick up regardless of whether you have a trash can or not, so now we have to have trash stored inside of our home until they can get a trash can returned to me and that is not considered missing service. A few years ago, I called two weeks in advance to have a large furniture pick up, and on the scheduled date no one showed up, so I had an old couch sitting in my drive way for several days waiting on them to fix the issue. They are consistently unorganized and do not care about their customers satisfaction. This is the worst customer service I have ever had and they are willing to make their customers suffer the consequences of their mistakes with no offer to do anything to make it right. Don't bother calling ahead and trying to make plans because they are not going to get it right regardless. Only giving one stat because I can't give zero.
