I recently used them for a 100 mile move. They responded quickly to my request for an estimate,…read morewere able to accommodate my work schedule, and gave me the lowest estimate of all the companies I called. The movers showed up on time, packed everything carefully and quickly, and arrived at my new home on time. I opted to unpack everything myself but they put every box in its proper place. I've unpacked everything and everything is in the condition I packed it in; not a single chip or crack in anything. I was a little worried about hiring movers by the hour (especially when everyone else gave me a flat rate), but they did a great job and the final cost was under the estimated amount; probably because the movers were so speedy and professional.

I ended up paying almost $400 for about ONE HOUR of work, and I would not use this company again…read more I specifically searched for movers in Harrisonburg because I wanted a LOCAL company. Their website has a page titled "Harrisonburg, VA Moving Companies" and refers to their "locally-operated team." What I didn't know when I booked was that the crew was actually coming from Charlottesville. I only hired them to unload the large items from MY U-Haul. I was transporting everything myself. I was told there was a travel fee, but I specifically told them on the phone that I didn't need that because I was moving my belongings myself. No one corrected me or explained that I would still be charged the fee because they were coming from Charlottesville. Had they explained that, I would not have booked them and would've looked for an actual local moving company. When I called afterward to address the charge, the owner, Cole, was condescending, argumentative, and mostly unhelpful. Instead of trying to understand why there had been a clear misunderstanding, the conversation felt more like an argument than an attempt to resolve the issue. The guys who actually came out and did the work were great. My problem is with the lack of transparency, communication, and how the situation was handled afterward. If you're in Harrisonburg, please ask where your crew is actually coming from, what EVERY fee covers, and get it in writing before you book. I wish I had.

The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem to have this as a way to make a living and no skin in the game, so to speak. We researched places to get junk removal so we could get it done all at once. They quoted us $179 which was really reasonable! They were available within a couple days of contacting, which was great because we were getting our new couch soon! They called at around 9:15 and said they would be at our house in 20 minutes (our original time was 10am, I think). I appreciated that they didn't have us wait around all day for them. When they arrived, they were quick, efficient, and careful with the objects that had to be removed. I put most of it on the old couch and the paint and wood was by the door so they could quickly gather it up. They got everything done in about 15-20 min! I was amazed. We went to pay and they said we would get a call. Someone called moments after and we paid over the phone. We got 10% off with the coupon on their site for being a first time customer, so we paid around $160. Great deal! We will use them again if needed. Also, they try to reuse/recycle as much as possible! Awesome mentality.
