They over charged us $150 and no one will answer the phone when we call. We took construction trash to the waste transfer station in Carson, where there is as little person-to-person contact as possible. Looking at the bill afterwards we saw they overcharged us by 68%. We tried calling to get an explanation but no one answers the phone. We feel cheated. read more

Apparently my credit card isn't acceptable because it has my business name and not my personal name on it lady in the booth is worthless just goes in circles credit card needs to match id so I guess I'm supposed to get a credit card for each of my employees with there name on it not my business! I have been with WM for 20 years or so. They started off okay then just recently refused to pause my service due to flooding of my barn. No horses=no service. They still bill me without doing any work. Talked to Amy K who is in management. Still nothing. I wouldnt advise on their service, even though their moniker is WMcares. No. No they do not. read more

The trash pickup driver did not pickup our trash even though our neighbors' were picked up today. Talked to 2 customer service reps who told me that our trash will be picked up by the end of to-day. Took a fully dismantled wooden bed frame less than 100lbs. to them. We weren't even asking for help when we got there because we were willing to unload it ourselves. It was easy anyway! Terrible business, does not follow directions and nearly impossible to cancel and get money back for no service! At this moment I am still on hold, 50 minutes! to cancel. I had an old couch I had to get rid of. called them up and they said its about $56 , so a friend and I went and drove in, they checked the weight and then I pulled in and the guy had me pull into the hanger and dump what I had. the place itself is really bad smelling, so don't go in the dress clothes. but this place is what its meant for, trash. if you have large items to get rid of, this place will take it. they also told me that you can do a free large item removal once a year and they will pick it up right at your curb. I could not wait so I paid the $ and dropped it off. read more

Horrible. Marlin is every unreasonable and the attitude is unacceptable. Called because my trash cans where picked up and new ones not dropped off and this girl had the nerve to get an attitude because we are inquiring about where the hell to throw our trash away in the meantime. The worst! Didn't pick up my trash on Friday and missed 6 houses in my community. Called them on Friday and they said they would pick it up in the afternoon. Never came. Called back and said we were on the list for later that afternoon. Never came. Called Saturday morning and said they couldn't pick it up till Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. Angeles said she would try and get someone out and would call me back to let me know either way. Never got a call back. Called again a few hours later and Taylor told me that they were scheduled to pick it up that day (Saturday) from 6 AM to 7 PM. Never showed up. read more

Easy process. I had a truck full of debris from my remodeling to dump. This place is the closest to my house and since I was renting a Uhaul, the lesser the mileage, the better! The bad part is that this dump is more expensive than the other one. The one in Carson is $113 for less than 2 tons of debris. This one is $150 for less then 3 tons. But like I said, I really didn't feel like driver further for the price difference, I did 3 trips to the dump, 2 in Carson and I finished with this one. A contractor had told me they charge per what you have to dump which is not true. The service was great and easy! read more

I was informed by a Marine Biologist at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, that Waste Management (AKA Western Waste) does not recycle all items considered recyclable because it jams up their machines, and they don't want to get better equipment to deal with the problem. Most of what we put in the blue bins for recycling is just trashed, so our efforts to help in a cleaner eco friendly environment is being thwarted because of corporate greed. Styrofoam, plastic bags, just to name a few. We are fighting for a cleaner eco friendly environment. Waste Management needs to do their part. read more

Hate this place. Need to scream through a tinted glass window which is so dark you can't see anyone and they are screaming back at you, then you need to wait back in line all over again to get out. Paid a premium for clean dirt because I couldn't communicate with the gal behind the glass. The guys actually in the yard are good. read more

I had the worst experience with this company, they sent me a contract with one rate and then they charged a lot more monthly service claiming that the quote did not include the city fees, even though they assured us that the rate quoted is the total out of pocket charge. This is The WORST trash pick up known. They are supposed to pick up trash at my place of business 3 times a week. They bill us for the three times but their trucks only show up 2 times at best. When I call them, they either tell me that they picked up the trash when in fact they haven't or that their truck got a flat tire every week on Friday...(Convenient how their tires goes flat at 3pm every Friday!!!) I have never had a problem with people until today. I showed up to the weight station and then I go to the window no other vehicle behind us and I couldn't see anyone through the heavy tinted windows and I asked hello. The first thing I hear was "you need to wait your turn!" The lady said it in a pissed off tone like she did not want to be there at all. And then after waiting 15 minutes and watching 5 trucks go by, she finally helped me out and then after she helped me out, I asked her where do we go from here. She said in a quiet tone. "Go straight and then wait." And I couldn't understand her and so I asked her again what do I go. She got upset and said in a aggressive tone " Need to go straight and fallow the cones and wait for your number to be called. After we dumped the waste from the truck we was sent back to be weighed again and the lady at the weight station was sounds not happy to see us again and she said in a frustrated pissed off tone " sign this!" So I sign it and then she gave me back my card and Id back to me and then she said in a annoyed tone "By!" I don't know what the policy's of the waste management are when it comes to customer service and customers are. But this was the lac of customer service and I was treated like I was a second class citizen. It is not right and I management of the facility improves on customer service and how the customer is treated. read more

6/16/2014 - Used to dispose some busted concrete and old wood. I use a utility trailer to haul junk. Process is as follows: drive up to the scales making sure to have all tires on the scale; I was asked to only have the trailer tires on the scale. Go up to the booth between the scales to speak to the attendant. You will need to provide a credit card and driver's license. Have your vehicle plate number and origin city of the trash handy, you will be asked to provide it. Once checked in, drive around to the side door- the attendant will direct you to a location to unload your load. Once unloaded, driver out the opposite door and back to the scale. Stop on the scale as before- you will be reweighed and charged for the difference. Once complete drive around in the same direction as before but instead of turning left into the building, turn right after the K-rails and out the side parking lot to the street.
