Best recycling service in Long Beach. I had over 500 lb of printed cardstock I received from Amazon which was a third party scam originated in China. I received continuous deliveries including four huge Amazon canvas boxes containing more shipments. I worked with corridor to segregate the recyclable cardstock items with the non-recyclable tags and ribbons associated to some of the products. I had already tried two other recycling companies in Long Beach and they refused to take any of it. Although I did not receive any money for these usable printed items. Toxic part of town. Feels like you're going to get sick being over here. No good deed goes unpunished i guess. Also update your hours. Getting here early only to learn you don't open until 7:30 makes me stay in the toxic zone longer than I needed to be. I was racial discriminated against, I was blatantly mistreated based on the color of my skin at corridor recycling center in Long Beach 22500 alameda st lb 90810, the employees there would not help me, they tried to turn me away, by telling they were closed before closing hours and I watched them help every other person of their same race so I called my Caucasian friend for them to finally help me, and then after they finally helped me they still wouldn't give me the money for the recycle they made me drive all the way back to the establishment for $1.50 that's one dollar and 50 cents , but they paid the Hispanic customers the same day immediately after the transaction,I called the manager on more than one occasion to complain she said she would review the tapes and respond and she never responds back and also I believe she is avoiding me at this point because when I call she's never there. I was blatantly discriminated against, mistreated,embarrassed,it cost me money, I ran out of gas trying to get back the next day, when I spoke to one of the employees I explained that they didn't have to treat me like that I was only there because I needed money for gas and food, she told me she couldn't help me and I should donate my recyclables to them and then 5 minutes later a Hispanic man came behind me and was able to recycle and receive payment with no issue. read more

They offer good prices, but I have to rush after work and three times I've arrived between 4:30 and 4:40 with presorted bags and they've turned me away because they're "closed". Online times should reflect business hours. read more

Don't recycle scrap metal here. The guy give a very pool recycle price, like 30% to 40% below the market value. Go to the SA recycle next door, they give a better price. I just found out my mistake today after recycle at SA recycle, the price SA recycle offer fair market value, which is 35% higher than Corridor. Again, don't recycle at Corridor Recycling. read more

1/30/2025 I drove here for the first time to turn in my old catalytic converter, the place getting to is along the railroad tracks that lead into the port of Long Beach so it's very heavily driven by big rigs so beware of that, these trucks seem to be going so fast so it can be very dangerous in this area with the traffic from the trucks. Seems this recycling place was busy with several people having brought in tubs or big bags of cans (soda and beer cans) trying to cash in for them. The guy mentioned offering me from $10 to $20 for my catalytic converter after he looked over it, I thought I probably could have gotten more for it like around $50 and probably could have. I mentioned "how about $20" to the guy, he walked to the back with the converter for a couple minutes then came back out up to me saying they can only offer $15. Since I didn't want to go driving around looking for some other place that takes catalytic converters since I called a few recycling companies that said that they don't take catalytic converters, I thought that I didn't care to go further looking around, so I took the $15 instead. Although, I do believe that I got ripped off a bit on the exchange at this place that presents itself as price matching which I don't believe is true. read more

I tend to recycle my cardboard and CRV bottles. I don't need to. However, I hate that California taxes me on these things. So, I keep the stuff in my garage until I get sick of it and then recycle it. Corridor is run very well. It is not a chaotic mess like other recycling facilities. Even when busy, they have a security guard there to direct traffic. Would recommend for your recycling needs. read more

Great recycling spot. I only gave 4 stars because they need to update their hours to opening at 7:30am, and not 7:00am. I started my day early at 5:30am and had a few chores and errands. Recycling my 6 bags of plastic bottles was on top of my list. Found this new recycling center closer to my home and was there at 7:00am as their hours listed this as their opening time only to be greeted by a woman that informed me of the change in time. Otherwise, very clean and courteous once you adapt to their way of doing things. Ample parking, easy payment machine. I will be back! read more

This establishment advertises they are open to the public at 6AM; however, I found out that they are open for commercial recycling at 6AM and to regular recycling customers at 7AM. The lady on the phone was really rude and was telling me that it's always been that way. Sooo, if I have never been to your establishment before and your website shows open to the public at 6AM....how is anyone supposed to know this? The hours of operation should be more specific. Her attitude was horrible, no customer service skills at all. I would love to give 0 stars but luckily for Yelp, there's a 1 star minimum. This place is awesome! It takes all of your recycling including bottles like dishwashing liquid, milk and bleach bottles. The problem is they hardly give you anything for them. The regular rates are good but the scrap bottles (bleach etc.) are only 10 cents a pound. All of these rates are low but it does get these types of bottles out of the landfills. This will be my new recycling place until I find a better scrap rate. read more

Its a nice recycling center but they get really busy, I say you guys come early.. I used to go to Cal State LB student associatin Recycling center, its very nice to help LBSU Students and help your environment as well but it was sad that it has to close due to Covid-19 pandemic.. the guys are nice and very helpfull.. it gonna be my recycling place go to till pandemic end. . Our first visit here, super close to the house & freeway close. The guys were very friendly and the website was correct it is one of cleanest I recycling place I've found so far. The only comment that I have is the website said they would take the bottles/stuff out of your car... well Saturday afternoon at 2 they dont. But this is so close and takes electronic waste too will come back for sure. read more

I never knew the recycling world existed the way it did!!! This place takes everything unlike other places where they only take metals, or just paper, or just CRV cans and bottles!!! Customer service is great, and they take EVERYTHING!!! The usual cans, bottles, platics bottles of all sorts, tin cans, TV's, Computers, Cardboard? Yes Cardboard!, papers of all types, newpaper, file cabinets, stoves, copper, aluminum, brass, and they will even shred all of you yearly docs for you (small fee, but hey well worth it)!!! I mean they take everything!!! Before coming here, I only had knew of the small, take forever to recycle your cans and bottles stands that are situated at market parking lots...coming to this place is a new experience that will open your eyes!!! Go green AND make some greens!!! You should definitely check this place out!!! BTW, my experience is that this place pays better than everywhere else I've been and checked out. My local recycling spot. Quick if u go in early on a weekday. Wear gloves because the containers are dirty as hell, and if some of your recycles are leaking. Small parking so it might get tight, especially when they got those big trucks coming in and out during peak hours. Theres 2 stations where they weigh. Glass needs to be seperate, if i remember correctly its clear, green, and dark. Going in today to turn try and turn in some old electronics. I know they do cardboard but never tried electronics. Yesterday I drove into the gate area and started to look for a place to park, when one of the workers comes up to me and looks in the back of my truck and tells me that they are closed. I look at my watch and it's 4:45pm so I tell him I thought you close at 5:00pm, he just says we're closed. I happen to see the sign behind him that they are open on Saturdays, so I just said ok I'll be back tomorrow. I don't care if they say that you have to be in the gate area by a certain time like 20 mins before the posted closing time, but they don't it says 5:00pm.
