I had had no complaint with this facility and the audiologist, Veronica Garelik until....my hearing…read moreaids were still under warranty but started acting up mid December. I was given a loaner pair and originals were sent back to the factory. Since the loaners were better than the originals and I was told due to the holidays being so close it may take a bit of time for the repair I didn't call the office. However, I did send an email msg to the audiologist stating I liked the loaners. Today, 1/19 I received a call on my landline telling me the originals were back and they've been trying to reach me for at least 3 weeks and all calls directed to my cell went directly to voice mail and they then claim they texted me with no response. There were no missed calls as there would have been a record and no text. As a matter of fact, this is not the first time I've been told calls have been made and gone directly to voice mail from this company. I'm pleased with the hearing aids but not with what I perceive as dishonesty to cover their office inadequacies. I'm sure that my warranty will now be invalid due to this review. I hope not.

I accompanied my mother for her appointment with Dr. Veronica Gorelik at the Scarsdale location and…read moreit was the worst experience I have ever had or witnessed with a healthcare provider. The doctor seemed fine up until I informed her that my mother has met her insurance's annual out of pocket max and the insurance company has previously confirmed there will be no copay for the hearing aid. The doctor then assumed a condescending tone and repeatedly claimed that the insurance company has no role in this and their limits do not apply. As was later confirmed by both the insurance company and the service partner (TruHearing) who referred my mother to this shop, there is in fact no copay and that confirmation was proactively provided to this doctor through TruHearing's "Echo Portal" which this doctor could have easily verified. The conversation went to hell - after I informed her that we would file a complaint against her and switch provider, the doctor refused to return my mother's in-take forms, which contain my mother's full SSN and other confidential personal information. She first falsely claimed the forms have been loaded into paper shredder, then claimed that we had no right to demand return of "their" forms - despite the fact that they emailed the blank forms to me yesterday and I filled in my mother's information. I felt verbally attacked at this establishment and the doctor and her assistant did NOT appear like healthcare professionals to me. They seem more like used car sales people throwing a fit for lack of up front payment. I can understand we all make mistakes; I can even excuse them from not checking their portal for insurance benefit confirmation; but the way the doctor acted despite her mistakes was not excusable. I caution anyone who is referred to this establishment. There are many options - look for the true healthcare professionals and avoid getting into a bad situation as my mother and I were subjected to.

Back last fall, I pulled off the rare feat of poking my eye while I was sleeping. I have no idea…read morehow I did this, but I poked it so bad that I scratched my cornea. Have you ever scratched your cornea? I don't recommend it - the pain was awful. Anyway, after a trip to urgent care and a round of antibiotics (and a lot of tearing), I thought it was a good idea to follow up with an ophthalmologist - both to get my eye checked out by a specialist but also because I had never been to one before. My parents had recently been to Dr. Terraciano and had great things to say, so I figured it was meant to be and booked an appointment. This office is a family-run private practice; it was originally founded by Pasquale Terraciano and is now run by his son Anthony. In today's age, I'm used to outpatient doctor offices being affiliated with major hospital systems, so I was really surprised to see this office still standing on its own. That doesn't mean that it's behind the times - the office uses cutting edge technology and has a number of options to treat a variety of eye conditions. After being worked up, I met Dr. Terraciano and Dr. Ross. Both were very kind, thorough, and explained things that were easy for me to understand. I was ultimately diagnosed with an eye condition and they did a great job providing me with options that I could work with to treat it. Since my initial visit, I returned for a follow-up and had a similar positive experience. Everyone I interacted with in the office was friendly, and overall I would definitely recommend Dr. Terraciano if you're looking for an ophthalmologist.

She was very thorough in reviewing radiology images and in a comprehensive physical exam, and ordered a repeat MRI of my neck to see if my fall had caused any additional damage. She was extremely kind and caring throughout my appointment. The medication she prescribed has relieved pain I had been experiencing at night, disturbing my sleep, and she made referrals for physical therapy and pain management. Her office was very helpful in scheduling the MIR and a follow up appointment. Dr. Klebanoff personally phoned me with the results of the MRI, and to check on how I was doing. My experience of Dr. Klebanoff's care was wonderful, and I highly recommend her.

Brett Cotter was great when I worked with him in a group at the Sivananda Ashram Bahamas. Yet when…read moreI worked with him 1:1, his behavior with me became too familiar/unethical/ boundary breaking after a couple of sessions. In fact it triggered a severe PTSD episode, which I haven't had in over a year. I ended up having to pay $230 to a licensed healthcare provider to rectify what his behavior triggered. A family member noticed immediately, which helped me identify what was going on with me. Also, the aforementioned healthcare provider, who I've worked with for a decade. As well as another psychologist at the Ashram, and a close friend. Brett did give me a partial refund, after I asked. Though my eldest sister after witnessing the effects of Brett's unethical behavior on me, asked for a full refund for me. The last 2 sessions (I didn't use the 3rd in the package), rather than helping me through trauma, re-traumatized me. Brett has been non-responsive to my sister's email. When Brett is on point, he's good. Perhaps I was just a one-off which is disappointing and very unpleasant. In my opinion it often isn't just one woman. Perhaps it's just one woman who has the courage to speak up. The healthcare provider, who has known me for about a decade, put me in a steady mental state Brett says his work will do. It didn't for me, thus only 1 star.
