Not even a break room actually. It's small, old and doesn't really offer any real food. My court date was for 2pm and we didn't actually get before the judge until closer to 2:30. But I have to say it was due to the lengthy speeches several previous petitioners gave to the judge even though he kept asking them to get to the point. I felt BAD for the judge when we finished because of the nonsense he has to deal with. The court is small and still it's not incredibly clear where everything is. I just was nervous I would be late and wanted to be on time with my ducks in order. At least the outside is pretty. Oh and the other thing: PARKING is insane. Take at least 15 minutes extra for yourself to park!!!

The positive is that you can make an appointment ahead of time. Availability varies tremendously across locations, but this spot has good options most of the time. I had to wait less than five minutes to be called after I checked in at my appointment time. You can check in at one of two kiosks that are available, so you don't have to interact with a human until you get to the counter unless you want to. The negative is that the cost of everything is ridiculously high. Isn't that the theme of this current economy, though? The fact that the atmosphere feels somewhat depressed doesn't help as I open my wallet. It was an efficient visit, but it wasn't an enjoyable one. Memorable perhaps, yet simultaneously disheartening because of the cost associated with necessary services. Do I ever look forward to going back? Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I definitely don't have enough room here--and anyone reading this won't want to take the time--to…read morerecount every way LifeSafer has screwed me since August of 2013. But the events over the last few months have left me in dismay, shaking my head at how poorly this company treats their clientele, and utterly powerless to do anything about it. First off, their product is garbage. Sure, they probably have their hands tied somewhat meeting state requirements. But the device itself comes off as having been designed by a group of someones with no imagination or prior experience in industrial design. It's clunky, looks like it was carved out of a block piece of plastic in 1989 and hasn't been updated since. And, lately, following some firmware update to meet requirements after the first of the year (which I first heard about in July), now it sometimes won't let you start your car for up to 20 minutes. Sure, maybe you won't get an undeserved "fail," which results in a non-negotiable $50 fee, but you'll lose time, gain frustration, and there's nothing this company will do to assist you. That was underscored this morning when the phone rep hung up on me while trying to "troubleshoot." Beyond that, they've twice not been present when I've shown up to get the contraption serviced. The reps at their shops have no path to escalate if you don't like what they have to tell you. Even when the mistake is clearly theirs, they won't acknowledge it or consider waiving their exorbitant fees. They come off like they have some weird, warped view on what their doing and what service their providing, and won't listen to reason about their policies or horrible service. I could go on and on. Perhaps the other options out there are better; perhaps not. I have a feeling this industry is what it is. However, I can't imagine any of the companies you may choose to go with are any worse than this LifeSafer.
