The business is in the shopping center with the Shell gas station, SOUTH of I20, directly across the road from McDonald's, on the west side of Duncanville Rd. The signage facing Duncanville Rd. was different than the business' name; and the signage in the shopping center was hard to read at night, as well as being smaller than the signage identify the type of business. Very pleased with the cleanly appearance, inside and outside. With the wave of the hand, the door opens to not only make life easier for those with disabilities, but all customers carrying in their laundry. This feature is spectacular during Covid-19! The upside for everyone is that the machines are clean with a variety of sizes. The downside FOR ME, was the spin cycle didn't remove as much water AS I PREFER. Some may appreciate this since the wrinkles are reduced. (Maybe someone could manufacturer a machine and add a setting for this preference?) I didn't want the space to be too hot and I didn't want to have to have to fight for folding space. I was also looking for adequate well lit parking. I know right? Laughable. But I was prepared to look or even go farther as we actually have our own washer and dryer, but there are some big items we have to do elsewhere and there is nothing I am pleased with near home. So I want to tell you about Red Bird Laundry Center. I actually Googled "exceptional laundromats near me" and this laundromat came up at 4.9 stars and people love this place. Now I write for Yelp, but I'm happy to mine gold where I can. It is 9.7 miles and 18 minutes from my house so I could check that box as to distance. We took some rugs and bed linens to Red Bird Laundry Center this last evening and I was so pleased with everything. The Center has a big parking lot, with a covered broad glassed front and its brightly lit inside. Everything is clean and new. They opened last summer with a big bank of dryers and two aisles of different sized washers. They have an app and they are coinless. In the end, they ticked off every box for me. Jason, the owner/manager introduced himself and offered to help familiarize me with the card and money machines to load money onto the card for laundry. I've used many. These were the easiest. Currently, for every $20 you load on, you get $2.50 addl. free. If you use their app, it's $3.50. Jason demonstrated how to use the rotational selection digital knobs on the Electrolux Washers to pick the cycles and later the same with the dryers. The dryers are set to give you additional time currently so you don't have to spend more money. I am not sure how long it was. I didn't need it! This place is enormous. There's a corner at one end where the TV is set for cartoons for kids. The restrooms are locked and you have to use your laundry card to open the restrooms. There are multiple TVs. My favorites are the huge swirling ceiling fans and the many many carts. Red Bird Laundry Center also offers laundry service. The website lists all those details. Community Wednesdays are $5 washers from 10am-5pm. Hours according to Jason have been changed to 7A - 9P daily with last wash 45 minutes before closing. We'll be back!

I looked at reviews locally and settled on this one 20 minutes from my home. It turned out to be well worth the drive. Cleanliness is huge with a laundromat. The dropped item of wet clothing or towel that falls out of the dryer while unloading can mess with your mind when the floor isn't clean. No such problems here. This place is tidy and sqeaky clean. Washing machines and dryer interiors are also clean. Nothing crusty or rusted and nearly all appeared operational. Temperature is next. It's mid-July and it's cool in here. Ceiling and wall mounted fans keep the air conditioning moving and I was very comfortable the entire time. If you are a traveler, no worries. They have change machines and soap machines; but also a well stocked mini-store with laundry supplies. They also do laundry here. Call for info. There was a friendly and helpful attendant on site. There are adequate restrooms and working reasonably priced vending machines with a few gaming machines, too. The two televisions that were on were tuned to the local news channels (thankfully). I would definitely come back here to do laundry. This was not during the weekend so I can't speak to how it would be then; but it was pleasant enough today.
