I'd like to give you guys a great review but unfortunately your afternoon show isn't what it use to…read morebe... Frank and Nina were a great team and it's not even close to the same without Frank. The chemistry is NOT there. Nina is good but the new cohost isn't funny as he thinks. And the music choices are really poor. Hopefully they will find there groove but I don't see it happening anytime soon. This is really sad...

SATURDAY MORNINGS IS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT MR. C VOICE…read more So i understand that things change in life but this decision to change the Mr. C programming on Saturday mornings is the last draw. For years and I mean for years my family and I woke up early on Saturday mornings to post up for the four hour Mr. C and his antics. He was like a part of our family growing up and it was an absolute joy hearing his voice and just listening to his interactions talking to seniors on what they were cooking for breakfast, where the cookouts were and just Mr. C bringing all the old schoolers like myself joy each and every Saturday mornings. Now after all this time of all the support we along with many others have given to this radio station, this is our payback to take the very last thing that we enjoyed, i mean its just 4 hours once a week. I used to fuss that WHUR need to have Mr. C on at least 2 or 3 times a week but that was wishful thinking. But to all our suprise, now you take the last thing that kept us hyped on Saturday mornings. I know we dont mean anything to you and you might not even read this review also to you guys its all about money but sometimes you have to think about the supporters like many of us that are now turned off from hearing you guys saying its the Mr. C show without his actual voice and his interaction with the listeners. I along with many others are not fans anymore and even though you still play old school music, its definitely not the same. Saturdays will never be the same and thank you for listening.

This neighborhood & locally owned radio station was listed as the destination for DC Jazz…read moreFest's/Events by DC - Jazz in the Hood, featuring Saxophonist Herb Scott. However, after knocking on the door for a couple minutes & texting Herb, someone came out from next door asking if I was here for the concert. I said yes, got invited in & directed to the back of the building where the band was playing. Tickets were $5 & a Donation Box was floating around. The fenced in space was set up with a stage, tables, lounging furniture & a risen deck providing a backdrop of an old school backyard party. Food option was the friendly guy frying Fish & Chicken in the corner, where some people brought their own food & drinks. I got a little insight about We Act Radio. It's a small, diverse studio in the historic Anacostia area, where you can listen to their shows online at WeActRadio.com, AM/FM stations, Podcast or via their YouTube channel. You can add your voice to their live broadcasts by calling the station at 202-889-9797. The radio station has community partnerships with the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program & the Mosaic Theatre Company. It was a good show, as Herb jams on the Sax. Yet, for future shows/events there needs to be better signage of direction to avoid standing outside knocking on doors & windows.
