Glad I found this yelp page exists for these folks…read more I came across their article, Corona Case and Death Counts in U.S. Ridiculously Low published on April 14, 2020. I'll leave the edititor's name out of this. This article talks about an alternate path that America could've taken if we chose to let the virus take it's course. If we chose to not close down everything to stop the spread of the virus. If chose not to respond to the virus with the actions we took today. For reference, today is 04/14/20, United States is the new epic center with New York being the hot spot. Talked about the deaths as numbers and percentages. Made a comment saying "Older people die. That's what they do." So lets put some numbers out there. As of today: United states is at greater than 600k cases and greater than 26k deaths (worldmeters.info). New York alone is above 200k cases and above 10k deaths. All this in the span of 1.5 months - as far as we can tell. You (The Washington Times) go tell the 26k mourning families that their loved one's passing was an inconvenience to you. Sure percentage wise it's "small"...but each of those deaths means something to someone. Furthermore, the COVID-19 isn't like a 401k. There's no age restriction on this virus and there sure is no limitations on who it can infect no matter the race, age, sex or country. Now The Washington Times is right that the actions we are taking are grand and never before seen. However this is a threat like we have never before seen and we have the ability to stop it. Members of this nation have taken the trouble onto themselves to protect themselves, their family, their parents...heck even doing it for their neighbor's parents. It's an "inconvenience" we all weather through as a community for one another. I have friend who got this, friends who lost jobs and I am sure friends who lost someone. But not one of them spout as much nonsense and hate as these folks at The Washington Times. After this article, I don't need to read anything else from their editors. I consider The Washington Times a collective group that posts opinions rather than news. We would be slightly screwed as a nation if this is what we consider news these days.

The Washington Times is the conservative daily newspaper of DC. It has recently redesigned the…read morepaper as well as the website. Unfortunately the changes have made it a much worse newspaper. The Metro section is now delegated to 2 pages. The business section which has never been covered well is now only 1 page. They have stopped printing a Saturday edition and only have it in electronic form. The one plus side is the Sunday paper is now closer to the worth of what they charge for it since all the "extras" are now on Sunday. The website is very confusing. Articles aren't where you would expect them to be. Daily or weekly contributors are in different locations depending on the week. I am seriously considering canceling my subscription, but at $65/year for delivery, I may keep it around to be fair and balanced. Plus its good to keep an eye on the enemy (conservatives). :-)
