Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding popped back into my mind as I thought about the craziness that followed. I remember reading up on these two women and my teacher suggested I write a report on them for one of my big homework projects. It was very easy for me. Personally I think my teacher just wanted to read what I would write. I was snapped out my thoughts when I heard Corinna Delgado laugh. It was a pleasant laugh. I quickly looked up the number, but wasn't expecting to get through. Boy was I wrong. I felt like a complete idiot because at the time, I did not know Corinna Delgado's name. I could hear the three second delay and my mind could not get use to that. Evidently this is something people in radio are use to. Corinna Delgado cleaned up the talk we had, but she also recorded, my version of Nancy screaming "Why Me? Why Anyone Why?" Even today, I don't think Nancy Kerrigan would see humor in her tragic event... still Second place is the first to lose, but if you ask yourself, this question, who really lost... Enough of that...I answer Corinna Delgado Timeline Question and got it right. I have listen to so many people call in over the phone for money, prizes or just to talk. I never expected to be on the radio myself, but I was. The only draw back is that I did not hear myself on the radio, because I was on the phone waiting for Corinna Delgado to come back on the phone. Today I now hold a bottle opener that says 9.47 The Drive, the Movie 1917 movie on blue ray and dvd and a 9.47 The Drive Pen. Very cool. I will admit at first I thought the package was sent to the wrong, but then realized this is the gift I won. I enjoy listening to the oldies music of the 80' and 90's. I will be listening even more now. I look forward to trying again to win something or make a request for song. Keep up the good work Corinna Delgado.

The building is on Half street and easy to miss. Driving past the entrance is safer than being dropped off in front of the building. There is limited street parking. The lobby guard is nice. For years and I mean for years my family and I woke up early on Saturday mornings to post up for the four hour Mr. C and his antics. He was like a part of our family growing up and it was an absolute joy hearing his voice and just listening to his interactions talking to seniors on what they were cooking for breakfast, where the cookouts were and just Mr. C bringing all the old schoolers like myself joy each and every Saturday mornings. Now after all this time of all the support we along with many others have given to this radio station, this is our payback to take the very last thing that we enjoyed, i mean its just 4 hours once a week. I used to fuss that WHUR need to have Mr. C on at least 2 or 3 times a week but that was wishful thinking. But to all our suprise, now you take the last thing that kept us hyped on Saturday mornings. I know we dont mean anything to you and you might not even read this review also to you guys its all about money but sometimes you have to think about the supporters like many of us that are now turned off from hearing you guys saying its the Mr. C show without his actual voice and his interaction with the listeners. I love this station so much that I listen to it through their somewhat long, pervasively interrupting fundraising campaigns. This year I decided to become a sustaining member; which just means I'm donating because I get SO much out of the station. The unbiased reporting, the unique and interesting shows, and the hysterical weekend programming "Ask Me Another" and " "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me", they always have me in stitches. I can't say enough good things about our local NPR news station, and I'd like to thank them for working so hard to hold themselves to higher standards, and for also creating such innovative programming.

All in all, this college radio station has been around for quite some time. They've had some issues recently with WYPR, a station in Baltimore with whom they share the 88.1 FM frequency with WMUC FM. Other than that, WMUC is still going strong. You'll find your typical indie rock, hippie, alternative type music on the airwaves with dance shows and hip hop shows usually debuting in the evening hours. They have a show Sunday nights from 6pm-9pm which features live music called Third Rail Radio. I give it four stars because it is a really great place and if you get the chance to tour the station you should. It has one of the largest public collections of records on the east coast. Plus there are definitely some quality shows. On the other side, there are also some bad shows and something is not always being broadcasted. The diversity is also definitely lacking. If you're a fan of the music on NPR then you'll find something. If you like country, rap, pop, classical, or anything that isn't "different" then you won't find it here.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I was deeply offended by a segment that aired on Dixon and Vining this morning around 9:30 a.m. on 99.5. The hosts were discussing young men who had gotten in trouble with the NCAA for gambling and fixing games. After mentioning a few names, one of them made the comment, "Can you guess the hue of these young men?" That statement was unnecessary, offensive, and racially insensitive. There was no reason to bring race into that discussion, and it added nothing but harm. If they wanted to talk about accountability or NCAA policy, they could have done so without targeting or implying anything about a group of people or culture. This kind of commentary leaves a lasting stain and damages trust with listeners like me. It was horrible, offensive, and disgusting -- a conversation that should be left for private circles, not broadcast publicly.
