Fantastic does not even start as to where Jo has helped with our new puppy. Jo's approach in…read moreregards to making you see it from a totally different perspective helped massively. Not only that, the advice via E-mail after a session was brilliant and having someone to get advice from with urgent matters really helps when stuck with a certain behavior. Will certainly be recommending Jo to friends / family and other dog owners in the future. Jo's training should be mandatory for all new dog and puppy owners!!

She was able to demonstrate techniques to start the journey of training and I was able to experience positive results immediately. She is able to correct you without making you feel a failure or inadequate and stupid and at all times my dog felt comfortable and was responsive (if albeit exuberant in some of her attempts. At the end of each session Jo e-mails what was covered during that time adding further advice or tips and giving you links to things she may feel will help you or indeed supplying you with links to things you may have asked or discussed. I would highly recommend her services. She seems passionate about her work and animals and is a credit to the training profession. I will certainly be using her again if I feel I need more help/improvement and knowing I can contact her in the future via e-mail for any help, support or advice is a great comfort.

Hi Mike. You have proved that it is definitely possible to teach an old dog new tricks! Your advice…read morehas transformed our relationship with Angel, our 11-year-old rescued Bichon. We've had her for about a year but her possessiveness over food and resources was getting much worse and we were really worried that things were not going to work out with our current family situation. After one home visit from you, we have put in place all of the advice and training measures you suggested and everything is going really well. The daily growling incidents have reduced considerably now we know how to avoid and distract. Mealtimes in particular have improved - we are putting only small amounts of food in her bowl, then putting it down after she waits and then repeating the process until she has had the whole portion. One of the key things you helped us realise, is that just because she is 11, not to let her get away with things. For example, she used to have a set route she preferred for walks, with lots of little foibles about where to cross the road and stop at certain points. We used to indulge her routines and because she is an old dog, let her do what she wanted. But now, if we want to go left and she doesn't, I stand still until she stops pulling. Then I start to move towards the way I want. If she pulls again I stop, and I do not look at her. Eventually she starts to come towards me and once we are trotting off in the new direction she is fine. Thanks again for your advice. It has made Angel a much happier little lady.

From our first meeting, it was clear that Maisie would be in safe hands and she delights in his company. He has been with her on a daily basis since her first weeks with us at just seven weeks of age. Gabe is so good at keeping us up to date on a daily basis with photos and messages about her day, which is so reassuring. It is clear that she is in her element with him. Being at work with irregular hours meant that caring for a puppy would be a challenge for us but Gabe has made it all possible. He is reliable, friendly and goes out of his way to be helpful at all times. Family and neighbours have all commented on how very good he is with Maisie and we are delighted that she is so well looked after in our absence. He has helped us cope with all the puppy challenges with lots of advice and training tips. Gabe was the first to teach Maisie commands such as 'sit', 'stay' and 'heel' and he helped us to puppy-proof our garden successfully. Maisie has grown so much in confidence and we have Gabe to thank for all the progress she has made. We have the utmost confidence in his professional service and are very happy to recommend him or give personal reference to any future prospective clients. Phil & Wendy Wood
