I really didn't pay attention to the lifetime warranty at the time, however, recently after many years of use, one of the rings for the handles broke at the weld. I contacted Body Solid customer service (Rodney) and he was extremely prompt and efficient in taking care of helping me. He quickly helped me find my replacement parts (which included a frame assembly) and shipped them to us free of charge. The lifetime warranty is real and Body Solid stands behind their product! We booked on 2/02/18 with Anthony to have a service technician come out and fix our treadmill. He sent someone named Pete or George, not sure bc the name kept changing. The tech analyzed the treadmill and told us we needed to order a new board. $200 ($100 for service call $100 deposit for part.) The board took eight weeks to receive. 4/05/18 paid $200 ($100 for install and $100 part final payment.) This is where it gets sketchy....when it was installed he then said we need a new motor. Shouldn't this tech know that on the initial meeting on 2/02/18 that a motor should have been ordered? Or did he do something to manipulate the machine so he can keep coming back since the motor was working great before his 4/05/18 visit. Something strange is that this company has an array of websites, no listed address, and names are constantly changed. See attached images of invoices that look incomplete. They also asked for cash and wouldn't take a check. It would be wise to pass this company up.
