Warren James jewellers by and large sell a lot of crap, but but but, they do have their good sides. Their gold is of a much better quality than Elizabeth Duke from Argos eugh, and it's not as sordid yellow like H Samuel. It also doesn't break the bank like the gold in Beaverbrooks and Goldsmiths and jewellery shops of that ilk. For a pair of 9 carat gold earrings, you can't go far wrong, they are good quality, and they are inexpensive, and if you manage to avoid the collection of chav earrings that are on display, you've done good. Choose from a stylish, haha, array of gold or silver, men or women's jewellery, chav or delicate, it's your choice, the point is it's heavily discounted. The staff are super helpful, and if you look in the right places, you can actually find some nice simple pieces that are excellent value for money. My boyfriend bought me an engagement ring, gave it to me on Christmas day. The ring was too big so I could not wear it. Took it back to the shop today only to be told that they cant exchange it for smaller size because it was 'scratched' and I could have it resized for a charge. IF this ring was scratched it was sold as scratched, it was certainly not inspected or scrutinized when it was bought. AND if it could be scratched by trying it on then what quality of product do they sell if the ring will be worn on a day to day basis?? If it can get scratched by trying it on in the house, then heaven forbid when I have to wear it, go to work in it etc etc. It seems to me that they are (1) selling products of very poor standard and (2) taking people for a ride by not offering an exchange or (had we wanted it) a refund.
