It has got different sections for different items such as curtains, toys and kids stuff,gents and ladies clothing,and homeware. It has even got many new items for sale. Many times just like any other shop they have offers like half price sale. So it makes more worth to buy the items. I have bought many household items including baby clothes for my daughter. As I love this shop, I even donate my unwanted goods to this shop. The staff is very friendly. They have even got trial rooms so we can immeditely try the clothes before buying. To top that, they have an Olan Mills photograhers in store too. They offer a car seat fitting service from staff trained in car seat safety. I have found that you often have to wait a while before someone is available to help with car seat fitting because it tends to get busy, which is a bit annoying. They offer a bra fitting service for Mums too. They have customer toilets in store, as well as a feeding & changing room, which is always handy when you have a baby. I'm not the biggest fan of the mothercare clothing range - it's pretty expensive & I don't think it's that nice. To sum up, I'd say it's pretty handy to have a big Mothercare like this close by. It's worth a visit if you are having a baby.

No problem I was told so paid and went on my way. Delivery arrived and men said straight away that they are not to be expected to carry it upstairs and that the shop would have warned me of this. I hadnt even mentioned the stairs yet as presumed the manager would have told them as promised. To which I politely said no thats no the case I was promised help up the stairs or wouldnt have ordered as I cant do it myself. To which on of the men got funny and said I am a volunteer not a slave. This shocked me and I asked him to ring the store and the store said they would not have promised help up a flight of stairs, I was gobsmacked and said surely it wont hurt them they looked strong enough in gest and then the woman on the phone said she could here me shouting and that they would only deliver to door. Asked what I wanted and I said again politely sorry, I feel you will need to take it all back and I will get a refund. They then tried to deliver the smaller items out of the van which went again in the bedroom but to be fair I could have managed them on my own, but I said I just want a full refund and get a full set from elsewhere. They took offence at this and all but lobbled the table in the van and left. I went back to the store and just asked for a refund and did ask why tell me you would help when you couldnt do so, I wouldnt have made the purchase other wise and was told who told you this. Described the woman who did turn out to be the manager of the store and despite what she told me she said well we cant do upstairs. So I got my furniture from elsewhere and it was new and delivered to the bedroom, I had only tried to give the money to a worthy cause by using them and found despite doing so they treat me with contempt. I do hear of others having no problems with them and wonder wether this was because of who the delivery volunteers were on this occassion. You see the one of the men wanted to hellp me it was the other saying we are not slaves. I also realise they are volunteers not slaves and wouldnt have dreamed of asking for anymore than they offered in the shop when I requested help as living on my own. So to cut it short, if you buy from them fine, but if you need help up a flight of stairs and they say they will help, get them to write it on your receipt first to stop what happened to me. I personally would use the other shop accross the road called age uk, another charity who on another occasssion delivered me a three seater sofa, which again needed help up the stairs, they smiled away and didnt mind at all. Much less stress.
