I kept telling them my situation and they seemed to just send texts out but not read incoming ones. More frustrating than you could possibly believe. They gave me no fax number or way for the VA to contact them. I text that to them and the little girl told me that since I won't comply with their requests Dr. April Roberts won't accept me as a new patient. She said he needed to go into the ED but refused to place a hold. The hospital discharged him that night but he was stil not well and I had to call an abulance a couple days later. I implored her to place a hold this time. Her excuse was that she can't because "she's not affiliated with a hospital. The paramedics and three other psychiatrists told me that is not true. A friend and her husband both became psychiatrists in California and i contacted them for guidance. They contacted a psychiatrist they knew who did a fellowship in forensic psychiatry in New York, and he confirmed that she can place a hold and her excuse about hospital affiliation is simply not valid. Secondly, when I stayed with my parents in another state and needed my prescription transferred, she again refused, saying she's not licensed in Connecticut. The pharmacist said she has an active NPI and DEA number and she is capable of calling in the prescription. The pharmacist called her twice and left messages with no reply. This is a doctor that can not be trusted. She truly believes that she can charge this much money without ever doing anything difficult. Both my fiancé and I suffered in her hands.

The care I received at the other doctors I was seeing was sub-par at best. The moment I stepped into Dr. Valentines office I knew I was in good hands. He very attentive and takes a lot of notes.
