It was a quitclaim deed and a TOD deed. They told me the documents would be ready in 24 hours, and their service included the notary. Would I like to setup my notary appointment now? I said no, because I was going in for surgery tomorrow and would have to see how I'm feeling afterwards. Judy called me back shortly after to ask if I wanted to get this done before my surgery. I hadn't thought it was possible and just thought I'd have it done after in case of any complications and just because it really needed to get done. She put a rush on it, said my documents would be emailed to me in 2 hours, and her notary would meet me at the office at 8am. I also recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. When I signed the lease, Pacific Coast assured me it would be a multi-year arrangement so we wouldn't have to worry about moving. After moving in, I asked for one handicapped space for my girlfriend (there are none), and they said they would ask the owner, Harriet Wicberg. When I took my girlfriend to them to add to the lease as required, they said the owner refused to lease to her! I also asked to have large flower boxes moved away from blocking fire escapes out of concern for my neighbors upstairs. They said they'd look into it, but never did. Now they say the owner wants my unit for her sister (there are two vacant units around me), so they're refusing to renew my lease, telling me we have to move out or face legal action. We appealed to them staying we are in no physical condition to move again after only one year due to our disabilities, but they didn't care. We have done nothing wrong, pay our rent on time, and are older, quiet tenants. Pacific Coast (Doug and Lori) is the most incompetent, unreasonable, and brutally cold "company" I've heard of. Stay away from any place managed by these jerks.
