I promised my dealer that I would write a review of my brand-new Honda Pioneer 1000. However, I…read morewanted to kick the tires, go on some rides use the plow and service it before leaving my review. I feel I've had a chance to truly use my machine and that I'm ready to give my review. My wife and me purchased our UTV from St Croix Power Sports in New Richmond, WI in August of last year, and our salesman was David Mazzola. I can't remember having a more helpful salesman then I had in David. He was not high pressure in anyway and was very knowledgeable in helping me make certain decisions on how to build my machine. When he wasn't available to help, salesman Mike Morrissey was always available to answer my questions. When I was researching what to buy, I knew that I needed something I could use for work and then could go play with. Between Honda or the Polaris Ranger, I realized that the Ranger comes with a few more bells and whistles than the Pioneer. That being said, the main reason that I went with the Honda was the dual clutch transmission. I did not want a belt driven UTV. Boy I'm glad I did. When driving my Pioneer 1000 you can feel the power of the dual clutch transmission and I love how I can go from Automatic to Manuel with a touch of the paddle shifter making it a breeze to down shift when going up a steep hill. The Pioneer 1000 can get to 65 mph however I haven't gone faster than 45 so far. When building your Pioneer, you really have to think about what accessories you want to add. I added a Windshield with wiper along with a roof and the back panel with the sliding window, however, that took up a lot of my roll bar and that's what you use to attach your accessories with. I'm really happy I didn't spend 2 grand for the stereo. I attached a JBL Bluetooth and it cranks as loud as the two-thousand-dollar stereo for a fraction of the price and space used. I might throw down for a turtle box in the future, but for now the JBL works great. Lighting was also a priority and I stepped up from the reg headlights to the LED lights, not only do I love the better illumination, but I love how they look. I also purchased a LED 20' light bar for the roof and a dome light for the inside cab which has proven very convenient and helpful. I also ended up swapping out all my switches that don't light up for ones that do and it's very helpful when driving in the dark, something I would definitely recommend. I also bought a spare tire and a tire mount I could easily plug into my hitch, along with the toolbox I installed in the back dump box that holds my tire jack, tools, and straps needed to make me feel like I'm prepared for most emergencies on the trail. I do suggest investing in a full body skid plate and arm guards to protect the bottom of your Pioneer. I also purchased a rear-view mirror, but don't buy the Honda side mirrors because you can get better ones at Everything Honda for less money and you can place them better. Finaly, I want to talk about my plow, I bought the KFI rope winch along with the KFI Pro poly plow. I have the 5,000 pd winch with a 10,000 pd rope and I used it to pull our mailman's minivan out of the mud when he got it stuck. As for the plow, I love it! Its very light weight and durable I really liked how the plow would flex if I hit a crack in the driveway if I had bought the steel plow those cracks would have curled the lip. It's also one of the reasons that Ill be able to write my UTV off on my taxes because I used it to plow my rental property all winter. As for the service aspect of St Croix Power Sports, Callie Geving has been very helpful in making sure I always ordered the right parts for what I was trying to achieve. The guy who did all my wiring treated my machine like he was working on his own and was proud of his work and excited for me. This is indicative of the service you can expect from St Croix Power Sports from Sales, to service to the delivery of your machine. I would recommend St Croix Power Sports to anyone who wants to invest in a ATV, UTV, or other piece of recreational equipment. Good luck and I'll be seeing you on the trails

They didn't get back to me until getting a lawyer involved got mentioned. Would rather pay full price for a boat that is quality rather then running around and getting stuff to fix it and work on it. I would like to spend time out on the water, not making calls and fixing the boat and going to shops. When I had called and asked for a solution for the repairs we had payed for ($800) since we couldn't haul the boat up there because it is a 7 hour drive, they just told us to bring it up to them. Me and my father don't have the time to drive 7 hours there and back. Horrible customer service, unprofessional, and don't respect their customers at all. Would never buy a boat from them, and if you're looking for a boat. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Upon pickup, the circuit breaker and rusted cable were not replaced or even cleaned. I let that go. Brought the boat home cleaned it myself and installed my own batteries. I attempted to charge them up using the factory installed onboard charger and of course it doesn't work. While troubleshooting, I determine that the fuses for the inline fuse holder went bad due to corrosion and pull the ignition cable that prevent me from starting the boat. Dealer figured out the ignition issue for me. The Bimini top and hardware kit ordered from the dealership and Dylan mentioned that it should arrive when i picked up the boat. It did not and made no mention of it. Took about 2 weeks before it finally arrived and based on the invoice, it was ordered a week after he indicated. While installing the gunnel hardware, I noticed that it did not fit properly and notify Dylan. Provided pictures and I had suggested bringing the hardware in but he was insistent that I bring the boat in with all the hardware/accessory as apparently it was too complicated to deal with this over email. It didn't make sense as to do this as it's a 3 hours round trip when the dealer had same models on the floor that it can be verified with. After not agreeing on a solution, I reached out to Dowco customer service. Just based on pictures and parts number alone, they determine it was incorrect parts were sent to the dealership so they replaced it. My advice if you need accessories, purchase it from Dowco directly as their support is much more reliable and responsive. The last one the warranty on my motor. When I purchased my boat/motor, motor qualified for the 5 year warranty and asked Dylan if it can be registered. Almost a year later, I get notices from Mercury marine that it only has a 3 year warranty. Sent Dylan an email and sent 5 request in their contact form/2 phone calls asking for details within a 1 month period before the responsible person could be gotten a hold of. No responses from Dylan or their team. I reached out to Mercury support regarding this and they mentioned that it was suppose to have been done during the time of purchase and the dealership was suppose to provide me paperwork regarding this MPP. With this information and no response to another email request, I finally called. The individual I spoke to indicated that it was a problem getting Ryan to do his job but it was sent over to Ryan so I appreciate his honesty. After 8+ calls all initiate by me within 3 weeks, Ryan finally provided me proof that the 2 warranty extension was submitted which was the certificate number. I called and talk to Mercury customer support and mentioned the dealership provided me this. Mercury told me that the dealership failed to finalize the submission so they applied the certificate number themselves. The warranty reflected immediately. The whole time Ryan was not being consistent as to when it was submitted and insisting it was Mercury. When I asked for proof, he said Mercury will send it to me. When he says he'll call you or email you, he doesn't so you have to make that effort. In total, it took about 2 months after I notified the dealership for this to be resolved. It's disappointing that there wasn't a willingness on Ryan to get this issue resolve with Mercury and I had to do it myself. You should address the issues your customers bring up instead of pushing it off or seeing them as an annoyance. I suppose that's how customers are treated at the dealership. If the salesperson tells you are saving money on taxes as a MN resident, they are lying. Upon registering the boat/trailer in the state of MN, you pay the difference for the whole package including the motor.

They asked us to leave the keys with the boat and sent us on our way! When we went to pickup the boat and asked for the keys they said they shrinkwrap them IN THE BOAT and said that's what they do, but didn't tell us, the customer who have our trailer lock keys with the boat key! I asked for a discount to buy a new lock and they said, "NO" and that's on a $500plus bill, and that was the "service manager"! Oh, I did sit on hold twice today waiting to check the status of the boat...once for 17minutes, hung up and later for 23 minutes! They did expedite the service today, so that's why I gave them 3 and not 2 stars. Be aware your keys get shrinkwrapped inside and they don't think they need to tell you that!

We had just purchased a pontoon and trailer in the Scandia area and were heading back home to Buffalo. We knew the trailer tires were in bad shape but thought we could make it home slowly, especially since we had a spare. About ten miles into our trip, a tire blew out. After putting on the spare, we knew our chances of making it the rest of the way were slim to none. We found Hallberg Marine was only nine miles away and didn't require getting on the freeway, so we limped over there. When we walked in, we saw three people talking. It was a Saturday afternoon, and my phone had indicated they were open. A woman asked what we needed, and we explained our difficult situation. She informed us that they were actually closed for inventory and couldn't help. We asked about other options nearby, but it seemed we were out of luck. Just as we were losing hope, one of the gentlemen, Matt Dervie, spoke up. He asked if we could change the tires ourselves if we had the parts. "Absolutely," we said, having just changed the first one. He motioned for us to follow him and proceeded to get us set up with four new tires and rims. We were so incredibly grateful to him for going out of his way when he didn't have to. After he helped us cart the new tires out to our trailer, he had us pull over to another building where he brought out a floor jack for us to use! Thanks to Matt's outstanding and sympathetic service, we were back on the road in less than an hour. He truly saved the day for us and turned what would have been a terrible experience into an incredibly positive one. Thank you, Matt, for your exceptional help!

None of the gages worked as apparently they were not part of the motor purchase and install. Picked it back up with half the gages working. The fuel gage worded and that was my main concern. The total bill was several thousands. When I got my boat back, the seats were cracked and the floor was squishy. They left my rig outside, uncovered the entire time. The job they did installing the motor and controls was sloppy, leaving lose wires and cables. Turns out the motor runs bad. Won't start very easy and then dies and won't start once it's hot. Over the 6 or so months it was there, I called weekly and no one ever called me back. Ever. This is bar far the worst experience I have ever had with any repair shop let alone a marina. I would never go there again and I would discourage anyone from ever going there again. They should not be in business. The owner is a twat and wouldn't call me back either. When I finally got my piece of garbage, the owner and staff blamed having a shitty machanic on staff that no longer works there. It was such a sad and awful experience.

They have a monopoly on the lake which probably contributes to their poor attitude towards customers. Boat service employees work short hours causing extreme delays (over a month long to get anything looked at). My family has given a lot of business to this marina servicing boats and purchasing gas over 15+ years and the only thing as consistent as us spending money there is the 1 star customer service we receive.
