They pretend to be trustworthy, but they're nothing more than **rip-off artists**. Recently, I took my **deck boat** in for bellows replacement and a possible bilge pump issue. They tried charging me **$3,600**, claiming I also needed a U-joint and resealing. I got a second opinion from another mechanic who completed the job for **$1,100** and confirmed **none of those extra "repairs" were necessary**. Even worse, they'll **hold your boat hostage** and charge you for work they didn't do. They sent me an **$180 invoice** for absolutely nothing--just for keeping my boat there. This is **not how you treat a loyal customer** who has spent tens of thousands with your business. **STAY AWAY.** They'll **invent problems** to overcharge you and refuse to release your boat unless you pay up. **Total scam.** in the end , I got my boat fixed with gimble bearing, bellows and bilge pump done at Bumps marine in Lester prairie for $1350, so the $3600 price tag Sam's tried to get me for was a total lie to get more money from me . So much for thinking I was a valued customer after spending 40k with them over the past 3 years.

He toured the shop with us, answering our questions about bike maintenance. The other gentleman helped one of our group to find a new helmet-he was awesome when he said that your brain doesn't care what kind of helmet it is being protected by (only that it fit & you wear it). They did do an installation of a new stem immediately on one of the bikes that one of our group rode in on. Gateway Cycle offers a free demonstration class every Saturday morning 9:30-10:30. They will show you how to change a flat, proper lube practices & minor adjustments. Questions regarding maintaining your bike are welcome but it is a not a repair-your-bike-in-the-shop class. Step one was to find a local expert and acquire knowledge and necessary equipment. I determined that my current location was near Everyday Disc Golf, and proceeded to confirm with the website that as it was 11:15am, the shop would be open. I arrived at approximately 11:30 to a locked business with no lights on, and a sign proclaiming the hours to be from 11am-7pm. I called the business phone number, and those hours were confirmed. I waited and watched two groups of would-be customers visit the store to no avail. One of the would-be customers asked some of the other businesses, and was told the proprietor generally rolled in around noon or so. NOON OR SO! If you are going to have a business with public hours that are available on the internet, a storefront sign, and in voice mail, maybe you should care enough to be open during those hours. I departed, and will not darken this doorstep ever again. I instead made the drive to a town known as Little Canada, to a store named Delta Disc Golf. You should too, because the good people there actually are present during store hours.
